* AmbiguousSituation: His endless stories about the amazing jobs and things he has done through his life. While there is some implication that at least some of them must be false, absolutely nothing is confirmed or refuted in the show proper. It's even strange that, while Jim himself has proven to be a CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass, whether that one quirk belongs to the moron or the badass remains thoroughly unanswered.

* TheGhost: A subversion. While he does technically have an onscreen appearance as his light ball avatar, there are no scenes of him as a human that aren't part of a flashback or an imitation by XANA. Given that the mentioned avatar is silent and without any traits, it can be truthfully said that the viewer never gets to see Hopper actually interact with the main cast.

* BoringButPractical: Highly Irony ironic considering Odd's usual personality, but amongst the Lyoko Warriors, his abilites and weapon-set are not very flashy and very straightforward, much to his annoyance in one episode...but his Laser Arrows are the most reliable long-range weapon the Lyoko Warriors have, being faster than Aelita's Energy Fields and needing less inherent skill than Yumi's Tessen Fans. His basic agility boosts from his form make him fairly acrobatic, and having the ability to briefly block laser fire from XANA's monsters is nothing to sneeze at. It's his LeeroyJenkins tendencies that ultimately dampen his effectiveness.

* DiscardAndDraw: Lost his Future Flash power in Season 2 in favor of being able to briefly generate a shield to protect himself from attacks.

* Seers: Future Flash gives him brief glimpses into the future. He loses the ability in Season 2.

to:

* Seers: Future Flash gives him brief glimpses into the future. Unfortunately for Odd, when the power activates, he is often stunned and unable to move, and to make matters worse, the futures he sees are not mutable. He loses the ability in Season 2.2 in favor of generating a shield from his arms.

* UnskilledButStrong: His default skillset is smaller or less useful than the rest of Lyoko warriors (being pretty much his arrows and Future Flash), but he surpasses them in agility and physical abilities by a good margin (bar William and Ulrich).

* UnskilledButStrong: His default skillset is smaller or less useful than the rest of Lyoko warriors Warriors on paper (being pretty much his arrows and Future Flash), but he surpasses them in agility and physical abilities by a good margin (bar William and Ulrich).Ulrich). Likewise, as mentioned in BoringButPractical, said skillset is the most straightforward in combat. It isn't flashy, but very deadly in the right hands...except Odd has a lax and reckless attitude that prevents him from really taking full advantage of what he already has.

* WhatKindOfLamePowerIsHeartAnyway: Future Flash. Not only does this power have very limited scope (Odd is the only one unable to use his power at will, and it's worthless in a fight), but the power activating causes Odd to stop moving for a while, making him an easy target. Lampshaded when Odd mentions Jérémie erased it accidentally and never bothered reprogramming it because he felt it was useless. It's actually suggested that he is more effective without it.

To separate Ulrich from Yumi (not that they're actually together, honest), Sissi makes a variety of attempts to undermine the bonds of friendship between the Lyoko Warriors. These often manifest as attempts to administratively separate them through her power as a one-girl AbsurdlyPowerfulStudentCouncil or the use of blackmail material to buy her way into the group. Either way, she has the potential to sow a greater division than XANA himself. The prequel two-parter "XANA Awakens" reveals that she had initially been in on the Lyoko Warriors' secret, but her memories of the Supercomputer's activation were wiped with a RTTP because she notified her father due to thinking her friends were in danger and a misunderstanding of betrayal occured. * DangerousForbiddenTechnique: The Return to the Past becomes more or less this for them once they realize its side effects. Using it allows them to instantly reverse any damage XANA might have done with his attacks (save for actual death, but it does save people who are about to die) and cancel any breach to their secret without having to worry about witnesses. However, each time they use it gives XANA a permanent boost in power and intelligence. Once they learn about this early in Season 2, they make a strict rule of using it only as a last resort, to the point Ulrich nearly gets banned from the group when he tries to use it for a personal reason. [[spoiler:That being said, this only applied when XANA was still confined to Lyoko. * TookALevelInJerkass: Even though she had her moments here and there, (in "Routine", she was angry at Ulrich for... talking to a girl) Yumi is a lot pettier and sensitive in Season 4. Highlights include her being extremely angry with Ulrich in "Lab Rat" for having forgotten about her birthday, disowning Hiroki in "Lost at Sea" for having stolen her diary, believing that Ulrich sold an EmbarrassingOldPhoto of Yumi to the Kadic News, despite the fact that Ulrich would never do that (granted, he did take the fall from Odd) in "Cold Sweat", and violently rejecting William's help in "Fight to the Finish". It's likely that this stemmed from the stress that battles against XANA had caused her over the series, as noted above in DesignatedVictim and IJustWantToBeNormal. It is doubtful that anyone can go through such traumatic events without becoming somewhat abrasive. It doesn't explain, however, why she chose to publish an embarrassing photo of Odd and Ulrich in the end of the aforementioned "Cold Sweat". While the former deserved it, the latter certainly did not. She did get better in the end, though: in "Echoes", where the group , she's more in-line with her CoolBigSis personality, being on better terms with William despite rejecting his help earlier, and comforts Ulrich about living without Lyoko.

She gets a bit better in season 2, but still finds herself depending upon the other three most of the time. By season 3 she's upgraded to ActionGirl status.

* CharacterizationMarchesOn: For Season One, putting her development aside, she is depicted as a borderline saint and barely emotes beyond being a helpful ally to Jeremie and the warriors, sometimes functioning as Jeremie's WarriorTherapist during times of stress. Season Two and onwards tones these qualities down slightly and gives her nuance such as playfully snarking/taunting Sissi or monsters on Lyoko and not above getting cross at her friends including Jeremie. Knowing that the original plan was makes this subtle shift more understandable.
