In this {{filler}} case, the Mouris take Conan to a hot spring inn to help him heal from a sprained ankle. There's also a film crew in the same place, ready to work with five female celebrities: publishing editor Yoriko, top model Asuka, novelist Eri, IdolSinger Harumi and oil painter Ema. Things go normally until two of the women are stabbed to death in the inn's grounds, and their lifeless bodies are surrounded by the inn's beautiful kimonos and ''obis''! Is this a supernatural revenge coming from the local deity, the Kimono Goddess? Or are both deaths the doing of someone in the crew instead?

The young heiress of the clan hires Kogoro to find an explanation and break the curse, and her musician uncle Kyousuke Haga is involved in the deals.

The leads they have guide them to a hot spring place in Atami, and they meet three women who can potentially be the one they're searching for... But then a JerkAss writer appears dead, and one of the three ladies is the prospect killer! For worse, the victim was planning to see if an ''horrible'' rumor about Kazuki's origins was true...

Professor Agasa takes the Detective Boys in a mountain trip to get some ''[[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matsutake matsutake]]'' mushrooms, very famous for their delicious taste as well as ''super'' hard to find. The area as a whole, however, is divided in two fields: one for mushroom picking and another for hunting. Genta, and later Mitsuhiko and Ai, get lost in the hunting part... right when Jubei, a very ferocious bear, is lurking around and in a terrible mood. Three hunters tag along to help the group, and then they find the corpse of a fourth one. Which of the three is the killer?

* MamaBear: Ai and Mitsuhiko find a bear cub in their path. Then their mother appears, and she's NOT pleased. He never had such intentions; he shot around because he wanted to scare them off... and ended up killing the other hunter ''also completely by accident''.]]

It's up to Conan to solve this case, as a girl named Yoshimi is being accused of the murder but he has the feeling that something else is going on and she's just a scapegoat.

Then a snowstorm hits and as Conan and Ran takes a tour around the Torakura estate, the clock suddenly strikes midnight... and Torakura was locked into his studio. When everyone in the house gathered and managed to break in, they found him dead... and tied up to a cross, with a stake through his heart. But the study's door is locked and there's no footprints in the snow, so are vampires real or does someone in the state killed him and used the legend of the vampires to hide their leads? And who did that: Etsuko, the chauffeur and researcher Shuichi Hamada, Torakura's disciple and ghost writer Toshiya Todakoro, or his editor Fumio Doi?

Things get weird when Ran and Conan see a man with bandages on his face, and then one of the members of the club is first kidnapped and later gruesomely killed. The fact that their past is far more troubled that it looks like [[spoiler: and involved the tragic death of a girl named Atsuko]] doesn't help their case.

Via Dr. Agasa, Conan finds out that there's a tour to a famous hotel featuring his father's iconic character, the Night Baron, as a main theme. Agasa was supposed to go but his companion and his granddaughter had to relinquish their spots, so Conan and the Mouris go in their place. It's a good thing, though, since it turns out that one of the attendants is a massive JerkAss named Tokio Ebara... and he's gruesomely killed while wearing a Night Baron outfit!
