Aichi’s favorite card is Blaster Blade, a Grade 2 unit that is already strong on its own and embodies Aichi's ideal image of strength, while Yu-yu’s is Trickstar, a Grade 0 unit with the ability to evolve with overDress, representing Yu-yu's potential and desire to become stronger.

Zakusa Ishigame is a member of Team Blackout.

Tomari Seto is a policewoman at day, and member of Team Blackout at night, where she acts as the famous Screaming Fight MC. Also, she is familiar with almost every card and their effects, and self-proclaims to be "eternally 17 years old".

She uses a Brandt Gate deck featuring the Aurora Battle Princess. Her strategy is to imprison her opponent's card, forcing them to pay costs to get them back lest her own units power-up.

* CoolBigSis: She acts as this to all the younger members of Team Blackout especially towards characters like Megumi and Yu-yu.

* LargeHamAnnouncer: Tomari does the commenting whenever a major fight takes place at Night Amusement Park and definitely enjoy doing so. One character even refers to her as the "Scream Queen".
* OfficialCouple: With Zakusa who used to be a delinquent before she met him.

Tohya uses a Keter Sanctuary deck centered around Apex Ruler, Bastion. His deck includes a large amounts of Grade 3 cards.

Yu-yu Kondo is the main protagonist of Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress. A third-year middle school student, who lives in Kanazawa city of the Kaga Province. He is invited by Megumi Okura to Dreamland Wonder Hill, where he meets her friends, and encounters Vanguard for the first time.


Yu-yu uses a Dragon Empire deck based around "overDress" ability. One card among them, Trickstar, is known to be his personal buddy.

Danji Momoyama is the leader of Team Blackout, and has the record of 20 consecutive cardfight wins. By the end of Season 1 Danji steps down as the leader of Team Blackout and pass the leadership to Tohya


Danji plays a Dark States deck, focusing on Final Rush. His key card is Diabolos, "Violence" Bruce.

Megumi Okura is a member of Team Blackout, and invites Yu-yu Kondo to Dreamland Wonder Hill, where he encounters Vanguard for the first time.
