* EvenBadMenLoveTheirParents: Johann had always admired and looked up to his father, King Johann Von Speckbohne XVI, and was incredibly devastated upon finding out that he had willingly chosen to disappear due to the outcome of Mushroom World War II, for which he blamed the Koopa Kingdom. Notably, Johann is said to have been dissatisfied with the way his uncle, King Johann XVII, raised him, as it was nothing like his father's, and when ascending to the Bohnenkraut throne chose to reign as Johann XVIII to honor his father. Finally, the only thing that manages to get Johann to drop his [[FauxAffablyEvil polite façade]] and show every bit of his true nature as an OmnicidalManiac is Ludwig telling him that [[BerserkButton his father went down as nothing more than a failure]].

* BigBad: Of "Ludwig's Dilemma" as he was one of the responsibles for the death of Ludwig's biological mother and siblings and he also has a plan to KillThePoor.

* MayDecemberRomance: He was 88 years old at the time of his death, which when doing the math shows that he fathered Ludwig when he was 71. In comparison, his wife Sophia appeared to be in her fourties at the she died.

* MadeOfIron: For a 9-year old child, Bowser Jr. has survived some nasty stuff, including, but not limited to, being thrown out of a window of a floor that was several heights tall and being blown.

* InSeriesNickname: [[TheNicknamer Bowser Jr.]] usually calls her "Girl", as opposed to the other Koopalings to whom he refers to with much more degrading nicknames.

* FutureLoser: What ''It's A Not So Wonderful Life'' suggests. Though to be fair, that episode took place in Ludwig's dream.

* VerbalTic: He incorporates "bloody" in lots of his sentences.

* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Morton. Kind of ironic considering that Lemmy is homosexual.

* IAmVeryBritish: Just like Ludwig, he speaks with a British accent and incorporates "bloody" in his speech quite a lot.

* EnfantTerrible: Bowser Jr. is a spoiled brat and a complete jerk. Seriously, the things he does are either insanely petty, horrifically cruel, utterly psychotic, or all of the aforementioned combined.

** Also Ludwig. Both characters are heir to Bowser's throne, speak with a British accent and [[VerbalTic incorporate the word "bloody" in most sentences]], and appear to distance themselves from their siblings. However, Ludwig is at least morally decent and has shown that deep down he appreciates his siblings. Bowser Jr. though? He absolutely has almost no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

* NotSoHarmlessVillain: He seems like nothing but a spoiled brat at first, but he's very much capable of utter destruction. He can nuke whole kingdoms and frame innocent people with little to no trouble. It doesn't help how he's loaded with machinery, has a father who is blissfully unaware of Junior's true colors, and has royalty blood, which allows him to eventually become king.

* {{Jerkass}}: It's easy to see where Bowser Jr. inherited his personality from, as Karen acts entitled towards everything, and will nag and demean everyone until she gets her way, going as far as to try to get rid of everything that could remind Bowser of Peach, so far as to try to claim the title of Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom and get the Koopalings kicked out of the castle, both of which she failed at. The only thing she is missing is her son's tradmark sociopathy.

* ClashingCousins: He is the villainous cousin of Bowser.
* EmbarrassingMiddleName: His full name is Tyson '''[[GenderBlenderName Mariah]]''' Koopa, which is likely a nod to Queen Mariah Koopa.

* DropTheHammer: He carries one, but he rarely uses it.

* OnlySaneWoman: Aside from being occupied by her phone, she's usually the voice of reason for her siblings, especially Larry.

* WomenAreWiser: Compared to her brothers, Wendy is much less rambunctious and pessimistic.

The fourthy-eighth monarch of the Koopa Kingdom, father of seven adopted kids plus one biological kid, and a huge fan of alcoholic drinks. King Bowser Koopa II is an... interesting father and ruler, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't pour his heart and soul into everything that he does.

Bowser's second cousin and a major villain in the series. Tyson envies his cousin's title as king and wishes to overthrow him just to take his throne. He was originally a general in the Koopa Troop; he briefly took Bowser's title as king after hiring The Shadows to get him out of the picture, but his schemes were ultimately foiled. Tyson got arrested for his crimes and swore revenge against Bowser ever since.

* EmbarrassingMiddleName: His full name is Tyson '''[[GenderBlenderName Mariah]]''' Koopa.

* GoodScarsEvilScars: Has a scar beneath one of his eyes, which he probably got during his time in prision.

* VileVillainSaccharineShow: Until Tyson's debut, the closest thing ''Bowser's Koopalings'' had to a BigBad was [[TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior Bowser Jr.]], who is an obnoxious SpoiledBrat with a concerning superiority complex, but is still relatively harmless. Tyson however is a power-thirsty maniac who doesn't care who gets hurt as long as he is able to achieve his goal. The other jerkish character that debuted after Tyson, [[RichBitch Camilla]], is not ''even'' close to be the threat Tyson is.

* BreakoutCharacter: Alongside Lemmy. Aside from Larry, they tend to have the most spotlight. In particular, they are the only Koopalings to appear in every episode.

A thief who often butt heads with Lemmy and Morton. He stole King K. Rool's green star from his store, only to be caught in the act by Lemmy Koopa and Morton Koopa Jr. Even though he was subsequently arrested, he somehow broke out of jail, and boarded an alien ship in an effort to rob it, only to be held prisoner once again. He managed to escape his cell for the third time and hired Birdo, only to end up in the Bohnenkraut Kingdom's prison alongside Birdo.

Prince Bowser Koopa is Bowser's youngest child, and his only biological child at that, making him heir to the throne. Unlike the Koopalings however, Bowser Jr. has been spoiled rotten by Bowser. Combine that with the fact that he will become the king someday, and the result is a kid with a concerning superiority complex. Bowser Jr. doesn't see a reason to treat anyone with respect and thinks that everyone lives to serve him and him alone.

* AdoptedIntoRoyalty: The Koopalings were adopted by King Bowser Koopa II.

* ParentalAbandonment: They all lost their biological parents, with most of them dying. In Morton's case, he was abandoned by his biological father.

* KidHero: The Koopalings are all teenagers (being around 15-16 years old), and they are usually the ones saving the day.

* MassiveNumberedSiblings: There's about seven siblings that make up the Koopalings, and taking Bowser Jr. into account, Bowser would have a total of eight kids. This is enough for the family to be divided into pairs.

* OfficialCouple: With Ally.
* OneWordVocabulary: Morton could only say "brick" when he was younger. He eventually learned how to speak English.

* OfficialCouple: With Morton. They even have a son in common, Eggbert... well not really, but least Morton is happy with being a surrogate father for Eggbert.
* ReallyGetsAround: Ally is implied to have had multiple casual flings with other boys despite being in a relationship with Morton. From one of this encounters, Eggbert was born.

* ChocolateBaby: Not himself, but his recently conceived "son", Eggbert. Telling by the baby's green skin, it seems like he doesn't belong to Morton. Not that he cares... or even knows.

* InexplicablyIdenticalIndividuals: While all of the Dededes look similar to one another, as they are all related, the Dedede from Dark Valley and the Dedede from Toad Town look ''exactly'' the same.

* JerkassHasAPoint: To be fair, Toad Town's Dedede was right about the girls Dry Bones was doing their homework for having no interest in him whatsoever and are only using him just to pass their test in the apatly named "The Impossible Test".

* MeanBoss: The Dedede from Toad Town is this to Talia at least. Let's just say [[TakeThisJobAndShoveIt he had what was coming to him]]. Regarding Chef Kawasaki, however, he doesn't seem that harsh.

* {{Manchild}}: Bully is eighteen, yet he behaves like a bratty twelve year old.
* KarmicButtMonkey: Bully always find himself on the short end of the stick, [[AssholeVictim and he is usually the one warranting it]].
* HisNameReallyIsBarkeep: His name is Bully and he was the main antagonist in his debut episode, where he bullied Larry.

A blue-haired Koopa who is the youngest among the Koopalings. For the most part, Larry is an immature and childish, but happy-go-lucky teen who enjoys playing video games, such as ''VideoGame/{{Fortnite}}'' or ''VideoGame/{{Minecraft}}'', and uses pathetic swears, such as "Jerkhole" and "Meanie". Larry is the Koopaling who can be classified as the protagonist of ''Bowser's Koopalings''.

* BadassAdorable: He is the runt of the family, has a perchant for childish activies, and couldn't even muster a swear. All that being said, he does have a short temper, can be quite violent at times, and has stood up for himself in a few instances.

* BewareTheNiceOnes: He's normally the nicest and most innocent Koopaling, but even he has reached his limits. Several times.

* WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds: His brothers tease him relentlessly, so does retain some sympathy in the times he goes ballistic or becomes rebellious.
