* NotSoDifferent: Despite massive differences in personality, she cares as much for her friends as Orihime, something that Nestle To Night points out.

* AllThereInTheManual: The novel "Sprits are forever with you" revealed that he survived the events of the Arrancar Saga. Though it's canocity is debated.

* DroppedABridgeOnHim: In the manga, just after Rukia defeated him, Yammy flies down from the Las Noches tower and sucker-punched Rudbornn across the desert-field, cracking Rudbornn's helmet in the process and presumably killing him. The anime expands on this by having Yammy crack through the ice instead of just a single punch.

* DoesNotLikeShoes: As a child, and when she abruptly transforms back into an adult in the middle of fighting Nnoitra. As an Espada, she wore kickass silver-heeled black boots, [[spoiler: which she later reclaims after Urahara restores her old self for good]].

* TheGlomp: To Ichigo, combined with AttackHello, to the point where she almost ''kills'' him. Notably, both the anime and the manga depict it as ''much'' more sexual than you'd expect. Her arms were wrapped over his neck, her chest was pressed against his torso and her legs were straddling his waist. The anime went so far as to have her ''humping him''. [[spoiler:She even breaks up a fight between Ichigo and Grimmjow before it starts by almost flattening the latter to hug the former.]]

* MoodSwinger: She's calm and silent while fighting Nnoitra. Then she turns around, looks at Ichigo, and ''jumps through the air while she glomps him''. Unlike most examples, this is very much PlayedForLaughs... and then when Nnoitra gets back up, she immediately returns to being calm. [[spoiler:In the Vandenreich arc, she goes from glomping Ichigo again to coldly reprimanding Grimmjow for telling her what to do.]]
* MsFanservice: Kind of. When she has access to proper clothes (ergo, in the flashbacks and [[spoiler: when she and Grimmjow make their return]]), Nel dresses very conservatively by Bleach standards, with a preference toward high-collared shirts and smart slacks which show very little skin. But when Nel transforms out of her child state...[[ClothingDamage that's another story entirely]]. Either way, Nel is curvy and ''fantastically'' pretty, so she still counts, even if she's a more nuanced example than most in Bleach.

* SleepModeSize: Thanks to the wound to her mask, her body couldn't hold her normal power anymore and she reverted into a very young child. [[spoiler:In the Thousand Year Blood War arc, Urahara gave her an armband that allows her to switch forms at will.]]

* LateArrivalSpoiler: To put it into perspective, the true identities of Nelliel, Pesche, and Dondochakka as former Aizen-affiliated Arrancar was first revealed at chapters 289 to 290/291, around a year or two before the anime first aired the ShesAllGrownUp episode on October 28, 2008. The dub first released that same episode on ''February 12, 2011''.
