* BitchInSheepsClothing: Appears meek and innocent at first, but in reality, he's just an attention-seeking womanizer who makes irrational judgements of people based on how they look.
* CasanovaWannabe: Loves getting attention from girls who are charmed by his youthful and timid appearance, much to Jazmine's irritation. But it never lasts with him.

* BroodingGuyGentleGirl: The Brooding Guy to Jazmine's Gentle Girl.

* AllergicToLove: At first, Jorge could care less about relationships, and is vastly uncomfortable with the mere notion that he might have a crush on Jasmine. He gets better, though.

* UngratefulBastard: Lashes out at Jorge right after he gets a couple bullies off his tail, just because he's a jock.

* BeserkButton: A good way to get on his bad side is by harassing people. Harass his friends, and you make it extra personal.

A strong-willed girl, and unofficial president of the art club. However, behind all of that passion and hard work ethic is a very troubled person...

* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Him saying those nasty things in an online chat on James' request...while forgetting to sign out of Jorge's profile. It gets Jorge framed for being an awful person by most of the school for a while, temporarily destroys his friendship with him and Olivia, and gets him suspended for a while.

* AllergicToLove: At first, Jorge is vastly uncomfortable with the mere notion that he might have a crush on Jasmine. He gets better, though.

The main speaking member of the science club. Derek embodies the often smug and arrogant nature of the club, constantly formulating plans to discredit the opposing art club. His treatment of Jaime is hardly better, as he seems to see him as a mere utility for the club.

* InsufferableGenius: The science club's success has gone to his head.
* EveryoneHasStandards: Even before the end of "Awkward", he and his cohorts had no patience for Foster and Yanic's disrespectful behavior.
* HeelFaceTurn: After both his club and the art club collaborate on a successful project, Derek mellows out significantly, to the point where he is one of the first kids to call out the bullies for trying to harass Peppi and Jaime again. That being said, "Time Capsule" shows that he hasn't lost all of his less than savory tendencies, as he still teases Jaime.
* TheRival: To Tessa.
* ToxicFriendInfluence: Encourages Jaime's anxious obsession with who Jesse is when the latter worries about what it will do to his friendship with Peppi, just for laughs.
* TerribleTrio: With Leticia and Jack.

* InsufferableGenius: Once again, Leticia is very smart, but rubs it in the art club's faces.

* AscendedExtra: Becomes the subject of a major subplot in "Brave".
* CosplayOtakuGirl: Felicity cosplays as a sailor scout at one point. Based on Peppi's description, it was one heck of a display...that also got her suspended temporarily due to the length of her skirt.
* NiceGirl: The only student in the art club who stands up for Jensen and calls out the others.

* KarmaHoudini: Subverted. After his actions get Garett in the most hot water he's ever been in, as well as briefly framing Jorge for what Garett did, he is not seen facing any consequences...key word being SEEN. It is established near the end that he's shunned by everyone now for being a jerk in general, and he's been kicked off his team along with his most loyal followers.

* BookDumb: It's clear that they're not that big on learning. An example is Foster not knowing what a terrarium is.

* HeelFaceTurn: Foster comes to regret being such as horrible person after getting suspended, and it is heavily implied that Jensen befriends him at the end.

* KidsAreCruel: Rarely does the series dip into this with its characters, but they most certainly qualify. Yannic even mocks a kid with crutches for a laugh. And as Jensen notices, he just keeps getting worse.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Especially on Yanic's part. after he breaks Jensen's glasses (despite even Foster's pleas), the both of them are suspended. Only Foster, the more regretful of the two, comes back, and even then, he's treated as an outcast. Jensen offers to forgive him, anyway.

* JerkassRealization: At some point after Foster and Yanic's suspension, she apologizes to Jensen for being so insensitive to him, though she stops talking to her for a week, presumably out of guilt. Her apology gift afterwards is a nice cupcake.

!!Liv Hoffman

* HellFaceTurn: Foster comes to regret being such as horrible person after getting suspended, and it is heavily implied that Jensen befriends him at the end.

* ExtremeDoormat: Moreso than Peppi. Even worse, those he works for seem to barely acknowledge his efforts or his insecurities.

* KidsAreCruel: Rarely does the series dip into this with its characters, but they most certainly qualify. Yannic even mocks a kid with crutches for a laugh.

* JerkassBall: Acts rather callous and rude towards Jensen in "Brave", moreso than usual.

* CosplayOtakuGirl: Felicity cosplays as a sailor scout.

* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Despite being an incredibly strict teacher prone to giving his students extra work, he ultimately just wants his students to succeed, and does not hesitate to try and support Jensen when he's at his lowest.

Two bullies almost never seen apart from one another. They are major antagonists for the first two books, with their presence felt more in the second one.

* KidsAreCruel: Rarely does the series dip into this with its characters, but they most certainly qualify.

* AdultsAreUseless: The only major example of this in the series. The most he can do when the science club strikes is give them a DeathGlare AND THEN beg Ms. Tobins to do something instead.

The boy from the science club Penelope pushes by accident, kicking off a majority of the narrative. He shares none of the mean-spirited animosity his peers have for the other club, and is a very quiet individual.

One of the largest students going to Berrybrook, and its unofficial warden. Jorge is an otherwise charitable person who just so happens to look very imposing.
