* TheFarmerAndTheViper: Even after Ben spares his life, Dag doesn't hesitate to kill him afterwards.

* EstablishingCharacterMoment: The very first thing he does in the movie is sneaking into the chicken coop with his pack and terrorizing the hens with his chain, which is decorated with the legs of his previous victims, all while sadistically chuckling. All of it demonstrates just how [[AxCrazy murderous and out of his mind he really is]], and how the fun and carefree life in the farm will be in serious danger of being destroyed now that he's around.
