* FailsafeFailure: The Don Clan created the Don Killer series of robots to cull a team of rogue Donbrothers, as well as a secondary to cull a rogue Killer. However, no emergency shutdown was ever devised for either of the robots - Both were only activated by ContrivedCoincidence. If Jiro hadn't stumbled onto Killer Killer's remote or if [[AIIsACrapshoot the two robots' differing objectives]] [[LoopholeAbuse hadn't forced conflict]] [[TotalPartyKill everyone present would've died]].

* NearVillainVictory: The Don Killer is entirely adaptive, incommunicable and above all invincible. Even ''Taro'' is scared of the thing and by the end of its pwn episode, has the primary team cornered with no out in sight. Jiro randomly stumbling onto the Killer Killer's activation device in Terasaki's house is the only thing that prevents the show from ending right there.

* RulingFamilyMassacre: [[spoiler: The Noto slaughtered the entirety of the ruling Don Clan in a CivilWar and took Ideon for themselves. Taro and Jiro survived the massacre and were spirited to the human realm, in which Jiro and Terasaki raised them]].

* AssholeVictim: They all get unceremoniously executed by Sonona and Sonoya under orders of the Noto Council, and considering the torment they have inflicted upon Sonoi and his party, it's safe to say they got a taste of their own medicine.

* BlueIsHeroic: Haruka initially thinks of him as a hero after 'saving' her from Benitsu-ki in his primarily-blue armored form, and in turn, makes her wrongly think she's the 'Taro Momoi' she's supposed to be looking for. He then proceeds to subvert this right in front of her as he brushes her off and kills Shisotsu-Ki (AKA Yoshioka, her ''own classmate'', in cold blood). That being said, he's still more-or-less the TokenGoodTeammate of the Nōto trio, and has done some genuinely heroic actions like save Haruka from what would otherwise be a fatal blow in order to make up for [[spoiler: murdering Taro by exploiting his weakness]]. [[spoiler: However, he then starts to take this role]].

* MythologyGag: Pretty much every line of his dialogue is a reference to the theme songs of ''Liveman''.

* BareYourMidriff: Her human form's default clothing style.

* YouhaveFailedMe: Sonona and Sonoya are the living embodiments of the Council deciding this about the Overseers. Before they even fight the heroes, they dispatch their minions first.

[[spoiler: After his revival however, he beats Sononi and Sonoza into submission and has them bow down to him. The two start addressing him with the "-sama" suffix from then on. They stop after an oden/wasabi combo returns him to normal.
