* AdaptationalPersonalityChange: To make Adam a more complex character like he potentially could have been, trvn has removed his psychotic possessive {{Yandere}} traits towards Blake and his more spite-driven motives and has made him the KnightTemplar he should have been, believing he is fighting for a just cause and that humanity is inherently evil and weak for what they did to the Faunus.

* FantasticRacism: Towards Humans, believing them to be weaker than Faunus and that they are beneath them. This belief is so strong that he doesn't believe Jin has injuries during their fight and just assumes arrogantly that he is stronger.

* HeroKiller: Enjoys killing so-called heroes and Huntsman and Huntresses. [[spoiler:The latest chapter heavily implies he killed Summer Rose.]]

* LovecraftianSuperpower: If the Grimm Aura he has is anything like its canon counterpart, then Ragna may obtain powers of a similar nature. So far its only power of such a degree is the strong feeling of dread and fear is projects in others, even the likes of Cinder. [[spoiler:When Ragna's restriction is released, it can amplify the powers of Grimm and attract them to him like a moth to a flame.]]

* BewareTheNiceOnes: Pyrrha made it clearwith Jin that if he'd have gotten Jaune expelled from Beacon by revealing the truth of his transcripts. Then she would would have hated him.

* BigBrotherBully: He was a ''God awful'' brother to Jin growing up. By present day, he averts this, but the damage has been done.

* AdaptationalWimp: Jin in canon is also a OneManArmy, though to less of an extent to his brother Ragna. However he is capable of fighting beings of similar caliber and he possesses the Power of Order which grants him limited immunity to {{reality warper}}s and lets him straight up tear through reality with sheer willpower. In the AU, he could potentially be a OneManArmy but is clearly less powerful and is not obviously immune to reality warping or higher powers in this fic. The absence of the Power of Order adds to this, though WordOfGod states that it still exists and has yet to come into play. [[spoiler:He unlocks the Power of Order during the Breach.]]

* JerkassHasAPoint: Jin may have been a harsh if not condescending and cold asshole, but he raises many good points such as Jaune not being strong enough for Beacon or how that while not all faunas are bad, the White Fang are still criminals and their reasons do not justify their actions.

* AdaptationalWimp: While she was the weakest of the three main [=BlazBlue=] protagonists at the start, she did eventually gain control of her SuperPoweredEvilSide, which granted her the ability to decide the true timeline and let her arguably surpass both of her contemporaries at that point. There's no indication that she has these abilities here and otherwise has her base-form's standard move-set.

* AdaptationalBadass: In the beginning of the series, he started off as a complete joke that literally any named character could beat without trying. It wasn't until the later entries where PopularityPower and CharacterDevelopment allowed him to grow to be on par with the likes of Ragna and Relius. He starts off much more competent here and can effectively fight opponents who would have had no trouble with him in canon.

* AdaptationalWimp: It's one of the more notable cases since his canon counterpart was an observer and a straight up RealityWarper that surpasses even the likes of Rachel Alucard during her ''Calamity Trigger'' days. Here, he's a Beacon student, albeit a strong one.

* AdaptationalIntelligence: While she still has the naive and cheerful dreamer from canon, it's clear that when Amane scolds her and her team for their reckless actions when they attempted to snoop, she understood what their actions had caused, and uncharacteristically agrees that they couldn't have prevented what happen regardless of how many people they took.

* AdaptationalJerkass: Blake is far more toxic and aggressive than in canon. She reacted violently to the simple mention or idea that the White Fang were evil, instead trying to antagonize humanity, which does deserve some blame but not all of it. When Amane scolds them for their reckless behavior and the collateral damage they caused, does she become remorseless and reflect on her actions? No, she instead deflects blame on the others for joining their investigation, blaming it on the size of their group despite the fact that encountering Azrael was an inevitability and could have led to their deaths if Ragna, Jin and Jubei hadn't have held him off. Blake has most likely TookALevelInKindness after talking to Makoto, but it's clear she was acting like a racist hypocritical bitch.

* ItsAllMyFault: Her reasoning for blaming the investigations failure on there being too many people was mostly out of guilt since the entire thing was her idea.

* NeverMyFault: Refuses to take responsibility from what their investigation wrought and instead blames the amount of people that joined them despite the fact the outcome would have actually been worse if it was just them. Though trvn later clarifies that she actually feels a lot of guilt and is just lashing out out of self loathing.

* AdaptationalWimp: In the ''Guilty Gear'' franchise, Sol is a PhysicalGod capable of single-handedly defeating entire armies and other physical gods, destroying {{eldritch abomination}}s and surviving an EldritchLocation that can obliterate a normal person's soul, plus his SuperMode is so powerful it breaks the fundamental laws of reality and required time to stand still for him to use it safely... [[WillfullyWeak which is why he is always holding back]]. In this AU however while he is quite strong, he is only a OneManArmy at best if we see him in action and is capable of fighting Ragna with his restriction released.
* {{Jerkass}}: As per usual, Sol is a foul-mouthed, punkish and disrespectful towards authority and teacher alike, not even flinching or fearing Glynda's wrath. However it's clear he is a JerkWithAHeartOfGold like in canon.

* AdaptationalNiceGuy: Due to most likely being based on young Ky, not the mature king from the Xrd games. In his younger years, Ky was a quite zealous in his religious beliefs and was a merciless killer of Gears, not to mention had a heated rivalry with Sol and despised Gears. In the AU, his more positive traits are more present, he lacks any religious beliefs and is a kind and well-mannered young man.

* OfficialCouple: With his teammate Dizzy like in canon, though at a much younger age and wishes to propose to her upon graduation.

* TheCasanova: known for flirting with alomost every woman he comes across. He even succeeds in getting several female's contact information.
* ChivalrousPervert: Analyzed each member of team RWBY's measurements upon first meeting them and also flirts with them. Didn't do this with Ruby because she's 15 years old. Groped Bullet when he first met her. Even peeped at his female teammates. Though his teammates has made it clear that he is a very capable leader and warrior.

* AbusiveParents: While Cinder is not her mother, Emerald appears to see her as a mother figure and the only family she has. However Cinder on the other hand is only using Emerald for her semblance, and has physically and verbally abused her whenever she questions Cinder or is out of line. Unfortunately Emerald is too dependent on Cinder to see through her facade.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Pretends to act like a polite and friendly person towards Ruby and other students, in in actual fact is disgusted by how naive and altruistic they are and openly admits to Mercury that she hates them.

* ArrogantKungFuGuy: He's a kick-boxer who fights his opponents with an arrogant and carefree attitude.

* FreudianExcuse: The abuse, near-fatal training and theft of his semblance at the hands of his now-deceased father led to Mercury become a bitter and cruel person.

* {{Yandere}}: She is the same AxCrazy bitch from canon whose love for Ragna is so strong that she wants to murder him in cold-blood. However the reasons behind this love are unclear due to Nu not being a clone of Saya like in canon.

* AdaptationalVillainy: While he was a villain in canon, Roman is much worse in this fic. He is more of a bastard, eager to insult and mock his enemies' attempts at doing the right thing and is shown to be more of a sadist, shown when after the train crashes into Vale like in Vol 2, he is reduced to maniacal laughter, eager to watch the carnage unfold. The canon Roman on the other hand while a violent person who enjoy crime was not as badshit crazy.
* AxCrazy: It's clear that he is eager to watch as Vale and his people are attacked and killed by Grimm, if the sadistic laughter wasn't evidence enough.

* TheGhost: Besides his brief conversation with Ozpin, Terumi has not appear once in the fic, even 37 chapters in and him and Hazama have yet to take action. Terumi more so considering we haven't even seen him physically. Chapter 38 supposedly reveals that Hazama is just an alias for Terumi and that they are one in the same.
* GreaterScopeVillain: Shares this with Izanami. Many of his actions in the past and present have influenced many events within the story. He is the heavily implied to be the one who created the Abnormal Grimm and is the master of the Malachite Serpent. Also like in canon, he betrayed the Six Heroes though whether he created the Aura Beast or killed Platinum and Nine hasn't been confirmed yet. Chapter heavily implies he has killed Nine and turned her into Phantom like in canon.
