** It is finally revealed that Zeke intends to [[spoiler:sterilize the whole Eldian race using the Founding Titan's power, effectively euthanizing the race and eliminating the curse of the Titans. This is similar to that of King Fritz's goal. Zeke himself experienced the discrimination of Eldians and how it affected those around him and came up with that plan.]]

* HunterOfHisOwnKind: He's not only an Eldian, he's a son of an ''Eldian Queen''; yet, he's dead set on committing full blown genocide against the walled Eldians, calling them "a cursed race". However, his use of the word "cursed" is rather interesting, as Marley typically uses words like "Demons" or "Evil" in their propaganda.

* IfYouThoughtThatWasBad: Zeke was able to attain his position at the Warriors by showing his loyalty to Marley when he ratted out his parents; the Marleyan military in turn never went past investigating more about him and his preternatural powers when he attained the Beast Titan based on said loyalty. Had they dug further down, they might have found out that Zeke is of Royal descent. He never discussed this with them, and it's unknown what his intentions are regarding this aspect of himself.

** His only screen contribution to the war with the Mid-East Allied Forces has him throwing just one handful of shells at enemy warships and almost getting killed in return by their long range guns were it not for Reiner's TakingTheBullet.
* InvincibleVillain: Luck seems to always to be on Zeke's side as whenever Levi has him at death door, someone will save him at the last minute. [[spoiler:Notably, after blowing himself and Levi with a Thunder Spear, a Titan suddenly came out from nowhere and nurses the dying Zeke back to health]].

* {{Irony}}: Zeke intended to prove Eren how he was being brainwashed by Grisha. After exploring the memories, however, Zeke realizes that Grisha never brainwashed his son. But Zeke is later horrified to learn the truth: [[spoiler:''Eren'' was the one controlling Grisha by using the Paths to send his memories back in time.]]

* KingIncognito: He is practically a Prince of the Eldians, a fact that he has told ''no one'' about in Marley. In turn, they consider his inherent ability to control Titans a happy accident. His reasons to hide this fact have not yet been covered.

** [[spoiler:Levi once again butchers Zeke like a pig in Chapter 113 '''and goes freakin' medieval on him''' after Zeke attempts to flee custody at the Forest of Giant Trees by transforming Levi's comrades into Titans. Levi butchers the Titans in about five minutes and riddles Zeke's Titan with half a dozen Thunder Spears to the nape, prying Zeke's charred living remains out. Levi then affixes a Thunder Spear to Zeke's exposed abdomen and lets Zeke's body heal around it to fix it there, and lastly ties the spear's firing pin to Zeke's neck so that even the slightest movement triggers the spear and blows Zeke in two pieces. Last, but not least, Levi waits for Zeke to regain consciousness in order to ensure that he can feel Levi cutting his legs so that he can't escape. '''Brutal''' is too little a word...]]

* AmbitionIsEvil: In the beginning, Gabi is largely driven by her desire to be chosen as the inheritor of the Armored Titan, which makes her aggressively competitive towards her fellow Warrior Candidates, especially Falco, and has her show a LackOfEmpathy towards anyone who opposes Marley, being perfectly willing to slaughter droves of them if it means increasing her chances of becoming Reiner's successor.

* EvilCannotComprehendGood: Granted, it's largely the result of the Marleyian PropagandaMachine, but she often fails to comprehend the idea of displaying mercy to the enemy and fails to see why exactly Falco does things like treat captured enemy troops humanely and give them medical attention. At best, she sees it as him being a rule follower in hopes that it'd make him look good to the top brass and increase chances of inheriting the Armor Titan.

* {{Narcissist}}: Gabi's prodigal status has given her a rather inflated sense of self-worth, being largely oblivious to her own personal flaws and getting angry when they're pointed out to her. A notable example would be when she tells Udo and Zofia to do something to straighten out their act in time for the Festival, but when they ask what ''she's'' gonna fix about herself, she says she doesn't have to do anything since she's already perfect, before going on about how she'll score herself more points to inherit the armored titan. When the both of them call her a "devil" in response, she quickly pulls them into a choke-hold.

* TheFarmerAndTheViper: [[spoiler: The people of Paradis took a risky gamble of trusting Zeke and his followers and bringing him to the island following the battle of Liberio. From the start however, they know that Zeke cannot be trusted and take several precautions such as arresting Yelena and her squad and have Levi watching over him. Unfortunately, Zeke has already foreseen this and simply plays along until the time to strike]].

Since Eren successfully convinced Ymir Fritz to work with him, it's unlikely that Zeke is any useful to him, and if he is, it is also unlikely that he is willingly working for Eren, seeing as how Eren's plans directly opposes his own, which begs the question of if he's even alive. The Beast Titan that attacked Marley's warships was thought to be Zeke but was instead a double created by Ymir Fritz, who demonstrated the ability to summon past Intelligent Titans.]]

* NonActionGuy: Marley left him at the capital, viewing his Titan as worthless in combat. Instead, he was permitted to continue his research throughout his Tenure. This implies that his Titan was either stunted, anatomically non-functional, or its Beast animal-like anatomy was not optimal for combative deployment.

** Gabi proves just ''why'' she's the Top candidate, repeatedly demonstrating astounding marksmanship under extreme situations. [[spoiler: First, she manages to shoot a member out of the Survey Corps out of the sky while sliding across the ground. She follows this up by swinging into the airship's hangar, rolling into a crouching position, taking aim, and firing a precise (fatal) shot within a matter of seconds]]. She does all of this with a rifle nearly as large as she is.

Up until said chapter, it was assumed that Mindless Titans just heeded to all of the Shifters' commands, though the Clash of the Titans arc had previously hinted that this might have not been the case by showing how these can be used against the Shifters too. [[spoiler:Chapter 93 states that this is a technique unique to Zeke thanks to his Royal blood, by extracting his spinal fluid and injecting it into various Eldians he can then control and command him not unlike the Foundation Titan.]]

** Grisha and Dina enlisted him in the Warrior Unit to serve as a mole for their own agendas;
** [[spoiler:He is shown to be in considerable distress and anguish when he finds out from Reiner that Grisha outdid himself and brought his second son Eren into the fold too, and on top of that, gave him the Founding Titan too]].

* DrowningMySorrows: [[spoiler: While sitting at the hospital with Reiner and Pieck, he's shown to be working on his ''third'' bottle of alcohol. Suffice to say, his experiences fighting the Survey Corps have left him deeply shaken]].

* FacialHorror: [[spoiler: Eren attacks him directly instead of simply damaging his Titan, crushing the right side of Galliard's skull in the process. When he stumbles out of his Titan, that side is still crushed with blood and gore covering the right side of his head]].

* LockedOutOfTheLoop: [[spoiler: He's unaware that Marcel intentionally sabotaged his chances, ensuring that Reiner would get the Armored Titan instead of him. His brother's memories remain out of reach, and Reiner has kept quiet about what Marcel did to protect his family]].

He tries to [[spoiler: sneak up and Eren and bite him out of his nape, only to almost ''instantly'' have his jaw cut open by Levi and then nearly get blown to bits by the rest of Survey Corps shortly thereafter. Apparently, Porco was painfully unaware just how dangerous the soldiers of Paradis really are for Titans]].
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: Twice over during the [[spoiler:attack on Liberio]]:
** [[spoiler: Believing that the quickest way to end the war would be to take out Eren and reclaim the Foundation Titan he breaks formation and attacks Eren head on. This ends up leaving Zeke and Pieck vulnerable which results in them being overwhelmed by the Survey Corps well choreographed attacks.]]
** [[spoiler: His frenzied attack against Eren reveals that his Titan is capable of damaging Lady Tybur's crystal. Eren quickly exploits this ability by catching and crippling Galliard, then uses the Jaw Titan like an enormous nutcracker to crush Lady Tybur and swallow her remains]].
* PreSacrificeFinalGoodbye: [[spoiler: Mortally wounded by Eren, Galliard makes peace with Reiner and sacrifices himself to save his childhood rival by letting Titan!Falco eat him]].

* RevengeBeforeReason: He's blinded by his desire for revenge, repeatedly leaping into battle and making costly mistakes. [[spoiler: His repeated attacks on Eren backfire spectacularly, causing their defensive formation to collapse and eventually causing the loss of the War Hammer]].

* SacrificialLion: [[spoiler: Slowly uses up his powers trying to keep the Yeager brothers apart, until Eren finally crushes his real body. With the last of his strength, he makes peace with Reiner and then passes the Jaws on to Falco]].

* ThisCannotBe: [[spoiler: In spite of inheriting Ymir's memories, he completely underestimates the Survey Corps. When they successfully corner him, he's shocked at how mere ''humans'' could fight him in Titan form]].
* UnderestimatingBadassery: Porco's completely dismisses the idea of human crazy enough to attack him while he's in Titan form, or defeat him for that matter. [[spoiler: He has every reason to fear the Survey Corps, especially since he has no inherent defenses. At one point Levi and Mikasa close in on him, and he's only saved from certain death by Pieck's intervention.]]

* WrongGenreSavvy: An interesting case- a century or so ago, he might have been right about being an invincible living superweapon who no human could hope to challenge. However, the genre has started shifting as technology has improved, and modern weaponry and 3d Maneuver Gear means that the story is entirely ''about'' normal humans standing up to Titans.

** This comes to a head after [[spoiler:her and Falco's escape from prison]] and Flaco takes her armband off. She slams him to the ground and screams for him to give it back. When asked as to why she says "I'm a good Eldian! If I don't have that, I'll become the same as the devils on this island!!"

* NotSoDifferent: Ironically, for all her hatred for Eren Armin says she reminds him so much of his former friend when she questions him and Mikasa on why she had not yet been killed for her crimes; Armin observes that like Eren she seems to exhibit the same "kill or be killed" philosophy that drives his actions.
