* GeniusDitz: Her case of CharacterDevelopment is more about intelligence, rather than [[GrewASpine resolve]]. She still has a {{ditz}}y aura around her, she genuinely got more knowledgeable in astronomy, eventually to Yuu's utter surprise.

* HiddenDepths: While she is introduced as a conventional {{Genki|Girl}} {{Ditz}}, eventually we get to see some hidden depths from her--she is extremely curious, and unlike most characters of that archetype, she is well-aware of her shortcomings.

* SmarterThanYouLook: Despite being somewhat of a cheerful ditz, she's genuinely very knowledgeable about astronomy especially as the series goes on, enough that she gets accepted into the very competitive Shining Star Challenge. Yuu comments on this during the thirty-fourth chapter, when she [[GeniusDitz goes on for several in-universe minutes on the fundamentals of asteroid discovery]]. Since she always has a {{ditz}}y image around her, Yuu is so thrown off balance that the latter says Mira's being "cunning".

* {{Womanchild}}: At least she is ''thought'' to be this. When she shows she is [[FriendToAllChildren very good with children]], Yuu wondered aloud whether she is this, given her {{cheerful|child}} {{ditz}} demeanor is rather child-like. Chika immediately shuts Yuu up.

* ShyBlueHairedGirl: She is initially shy and quiet, and wears her blue hair in {{Girlish Pigtails}}. That said, she is a {{downplayed}} case. She is genuinely [[TheQuietOne quiet]] and demure, which is explicitly mentioned to arise from [[TheQuietOne fear of speaking]] due to being teased for OpenMouthInsertFoot in the past. However, she is never seen to be withdrawn like most characters of this type.

* ColourMotif: While most of the main cast were given one of these, her case is the most blatant. Her name means "blue"[[note]][[UsefulNotes/GreenIsBlue Sure, "Ao" can mean blue or green]], but an unanimated part of Chapter 16 established her name is taken to mean "blue" in-universe.[[/note]], she has [[CurtainsMatchTheWindow blue hair and blue eyes]], and personality-wise she's a mixture of BlueIsCalm with a bit of ShyBlueHairedGirl.
