!!Phantom Thieves of Hearts
Units from ''VideoGame/Persona5'' added as part of a collaboration event.
* AttackItsWeakPoint: Both units have a unique "1 More" passive skill, which allows their skills to be repeated at no cost if it hits any enemy's weakness.
* DiscOneNuke: Both are introduced as free 5-star characters and are available as early as Chapter 13.
* SwitchOutMove: In addition to their Valor Chant when switching in, they also retain the Baton Pass ability from their home game. When they swap from frontline with someone in the backline, the backline character gets a type damage boost on their next attack.

[[folder:Joker]]
The leader of the Phantom Thieves. He fights with gun and sword, on top of his Persona abilities.
----
* CriticalHitClass: Joker's main skill line consume bullets to deliver guaranteed critial hits. He starts with three bullets loaded, but his Valor Chant lets him load five more.
* GunAndSword: While the game classes him as a sword user, his main skills involve gunplay, and his personal "sword" is his Tocachev pistol.
* MagicKnight: Compared to Morgana, he has a very even spread between both types of offenses, giving his neutral magic attacks -- Eiha, Eigaon and Megidolaon -- as much bite as his physical skills.
* NonElemental: He has only one skill that has an elemental attribute, which works against one trying to exploit his "1 More" ability. His personal weapon improves his neutral damage, which affects a majority of his skill set.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Morgana]]
A cat-like being that the Phantom Thieves rescued during their very first Palace expedition. He can assume a few forms, including transforming into a vehicle. His true nature, though, is shrouded in mystery.
----
* BigDamnHeroes: [[spoiler:After the Phantom scatters the entire party across the time periods, it's entirely up to Morgana to journey through time to reunite the team and resume their quest.]]
* CombatMedic: Competent both physically and magically, with an emphasis on magic, and holds the distinction of having skills that heal a fixed amount.
* CrutchCharacter: For a level 30 unit, being able to consistently heal 1000 HP makes him incredibly strong for that stage in the game. His personal weapon then upgrades it to 1500 HP, ensuring he stays competent at level 60. However, from level 70 onwards, Morgana's healing numbers can get outclassed by Mariel's and Rosetta's.
* JackOfAllTrades: He has strong wind magic, a buff that enhances the entire team's wind attacks, strong healing, a wind physical skill that always crits, and a debuff that both weakens and slows its targets. LimitedMoveArsenal means he can't do all these things at once, but his skills can be mixed and matched to fit him into many teams.

Zilva is an old soldier who now spends his days helping people. He comes across as extremely polite, but when he lets his guard down he seems a little sad. Ever the devoted husband, he writes to his beloved wife often, telling her of his adventures.
----
* HappilyMarried: Despite the distance, he speaks highly of his wife and seems very much in love with her.
* RedemptionQuest: [[spoiler: He promised to protect as many lives with his ax as he took with it before returning to his wife.]]
* WalkingTheEarth: What he does since he left the army.

[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/839e7374_453c_457e_9344_9e11d6219ecb.png]]
A Paladin among the order of knights in Unigan, she possesses a very strong sense of justice and honor, and is determined to wipe out all beastfolk.
----
* LaserGuidedAmnesia: [[spoiler:Her sister Deirdre saved her life when they were young with the power of a demonic sword. The sword erased both sisters’ memory of each other in exchange for the deed.]]
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: She's one of the only characters to carry a shield in combat, fitting her status as a paladin and a defensive character.
* OmnicidalManiac: Anna's goal is to end all conflict, and she realized in order to achieve that, all life on earth must end. Anabel is horrified by this and vows to stop her.
* ReincarnationIdentifyingTrait: She shares a unique birthmark with Anna, the First Paladin.
* SoleSurvivor: Her hometown was completely destroyed by the beasts when she was young, and she was the only survivor. [[spoiler:At least, she thought she was.]]
* StoneWall: Of the 5-star characters, Anabel's HP and defensive stats are difficult to beat. Her skills also allow her to inflict debuffs to take a lot of bite out of strong enemies, compensating for her relatively low damage output.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Bertrand]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/101040101_base.png]]
Bertrand was one of the best knights during Miyu's childhood, earning the nickname "Shield of Miglance" for his prowess in combat. Having lost an eye in battle, he attempted to retire, but King Miglance assigned him to look after the young Princess Miyu. Once Miyu grew up and could take care of herself, Bertrand left royal service and became a mercenary.
----
* AmbidextrousSprite: He's got an eyepatch, and his sprite is simply flipped for either direction, so the eyepatch will switch eyes.
* BadassCape: His is covered in stab-resistant plates, allowing him to shield himself or others.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: When Felmina has the bright idea to stop a tantrum from Miyu by knocking the daylights out of her, Bertrand vehemently objects -- on the grounds that you can't hit the princess.
* DrawAggro: One of the few characters who can inflict Rage to every enemy at once.
* StoneWall: His HP and defenses are even higher than Anabel's, and he has a skill that gives him a colossal Physical Defense buff. There exists a strategy that hinges on him being as slow as possible so that he can take the brunt of as many attacks as possible.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Breeno]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/breeno_350.png]]
Breeno is a dark elf that joined the knights of Unigan. He's talented at the job, but kind of an enigma.
----
* FriendshipDenial: At first Breeno denies being friends with other knights he works with, correcting any declaration that they're friends to being comrades.
* TheStoic: He doesn't talk much, and he shows emotions even less often.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Deirdre]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/deirdre_9.png]]
A mysterious mercenary that works with the royal knights. However, she's known for her insubordinate behavior, and wields a demon blade whose power she is determined to awaken as soon as possible.
----
* DarkIsNotEvil: She's desperately trying to awaken a demon blade, but she has good reasons to do so. [[spoiler:Namely, completing the StableTimeLoop to give it to herself in the past.]]
* DudeWheresMyRespect: She ''pouts'' when she hears the beastfolk are terrified of Anabel's holy sword, but have never heard of Verweil.
* EmpathicWeapon: Her demon sword, Verweil.
* FauxActionGirl: Downplayed. She sees herself as a third-rate fighter who uses the power of Verweil to compensate her lack of skills, but doing her quests allows her to get better.
* ISeeDeadPeople: She can both see and hear the souls of the dead on the Ancient Battlefield, courtesy of Verweil making her "attuned" to the supernatural.
* LockedIntoStrangeness: Her hair changed color to match her sword after forming a contract with the demon blade.
* LongLostRelative: [[spoiler:She's Anabel's sister, but doesn't remember it due to Verweil messing with her memories. A secret quest allows the two sisters to finally be reunited.]]
* PragmaticHero: She considers playing by the rules of honor and chivalry stupid, since the enemies won't be following the rules.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Felmina]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/101060091_base.png]]
One of Miglance's spies, who has been assigned with Bertrand to look after the young Princess Miyu.
----
* InjuredVulnerability: Her Tri-Cataclysm skill hits even harder if its target is inflicted with Poison or Pain.
* MaternallyChallenged: Her idea to stop young Miyu from crying is to... Knock her out. Bertrand has to talk her out of it.
* MechanicallyUnusualFighter: Like Cerrine below, her skillset is a bit unusual; she uses [[KnifeNut two knives]] in battle, but since that weapon class is not available in-game, her specific weapon is fists. Several of her attacks are slashing rather than blunt to reflect the use of knives.
* {{Ninja}}: Her use of twin knives and tendency to appear out of thin air or in a puff of smoke evokes this.
* ShesGotLegs: Felmina's {{Qipao}}-like dress draws attention to her legs. Her 5-star portrait gives a better view of them.
* TheStoic: To the point she takes it as a compliment when a young Miyu cries about how she looks emotionless.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Miyu]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/miyu_350.png]]
Obviously, Miyu is just a traveling swordsman, like Aldo. She feels strongly about protecting the citizens of Miglance. [[spoiler: Her real name is Mufilleux Miglance, princess of Miglance.]]
----
* ADayInTheLimelight: v1.5.5 adds the "Little Princess' Little Big Adventure" questline, focused entirely around her childhood and granting her a new class upgrade to boot.
* ConfrontingYourImposter: [[spoiler: Her second quest involves her dealing with an imposter claiming to be her in order to mooch free stuff.]]
* ImpracticallyFancyClothes: She considers her frilly BattleBallgown to be one of her simpler outfits because she doesn't have to spend all morning putting it on by herself.
* KickingAssInAllHerFinery: Her traveling clothes might be fancier than average, but she beats down enemies just as well as everyone else.
* KingIncognito: She's actually the daughter of the king of Miglance.
* PrincessesPreferPink: She wears a pink dress all the time. Her personal weapon, Little Glitter, is also a pink sword.
* ProperTightsWithASkirt: Wears tights as part of her outfit, as fitting for a noble.
* RebelliousPrincess: She ran away from home because she wanted to protect her kingdom, which she couldn't do while being pampered in the palace. Her Other Tales questline reveals that she was also quite the handful as a child, to the dismay of her old nanny and later, Bertrand and Felmina.
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: She's quite skilled with the sword and takes an active role in defending her kingdom.
* [[WarriorPrince Warrior Princess]]: She can more than hold her own in a fight.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Soira]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/soira.png]]
A descendant of a rich family. Being apart of the Unigan knighthood seems to have unaffected her natural lackadaisical character. She wanders around the city and helps whomever needs help.
----
* AccidentalAimingSkills: She's able to hit a flying enemy with pepper powder, but only because of a lucky gust of wind. Her aim is terrible.
* BattleBallgown: Seems to be standard for female knights in Unigan.
* CloudCuckoolander: She can be rather spacey. When she recieves summons for official knight duty, she thinks that her job might be to water the flowers.
* DrawAggro: While it's not unusual for several defense-oriented characters to have the ability to inflict Rage on enemies, Soira stands out in that her Valor Chant inflicts this on all enemies at once. This is meant to synergize with her personal defense buff (which provides a massive defense bonus) but can lead to her getting knocked out more often if timed poorly.
* {{Sleepyhead}}: One of her favorite activities is taking naps.
[[/folder]]

!!Other Present-Era Characters
[[folder:Akane]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/akane_1.png]]
Akane is a young samurai from the east, who left home to find her older brother Shion. Because she always compares herself to her brother, whom she respects above all other people, she tends to understamate her own skill. This, combined with her rashness, can get her into trouble.
----
* BigBrotherWorship: She admires her big brother and considers his skills unparalleled.
* FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling: The Foolish one, according to Shion. He had to get her out of trouble more than once and claims she draws her sword at the slightest provocation.
* WaxOnWaxOff: She tries candy making in hopes that skills will transfer to her swordsmanship. To no one else's surprise, the skills turn out to be completely unrelated.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Azami]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/azami_350.png]]
A samurai who hails from the east, Azami seeks training so she can better protect the princess she's assigned to guard. Although she usually speaks formally, you can hear if she's not concentrating.
----
* AntiMagic: At the start of her battle and every 5 turns after, Azami imposes a crippling INT debuff on the party, rendering the player's active mages and healers powerless. Her valor chant also reflects this, lowering all enemies' INT.
* DefeatMeansPlayable: She appears at Serena Coast as a BonusBoss. Defeat her five times and she'll join your party.
* JapaneseRanguage: She misspells "goblins" as "goburins" in her dialogue before one of your battles with her.
* RhetoricalQuestionBlunder: She asks a group of goblins if they're monsters after they hold her favorite treat hostage, only for Aldo to point out that she's addressing a literal group of monsters.
* RushBoss: Her debilitating debuff detailed above denies the party any good healing, forcing the player to do everything they can to outdamage her.
* SamuraiPonytail: She wears her hair in a neat ponytail, emphasising her noble samurai spirit.
* ShowgirlSkirt: Her kimono is open from the waist down, achieving this effect.
* SweetTooth: Her second character quest has her getting very fired up over the shipment of some sweets going missing. This quirk also lets her perform a combination attack with other characters with similar tastes.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Benedict]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/benedict_9.png]]
Benedict calls himself a simple lumberjack and insists he is very normal. He seems strongly interested in living a normal life, despite seeming to have no idea what normal actually is. Also, he is perfectly normal.
----
* BarbarianHero: He doesn't look the part, but his lack of social skills, mastery of the battleaxe and prowess in combat make up for it.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: [[spoiler:If the hoodlum in his second quest is to be believed, Benedict used to be a fearsome highwayman.]]
* NoSocialSkills: He clearly has none. His attempt to get engaged involves ambushing random women to offer them a bouquet of carnivorous flowers. ''It works'' on one lady, though. [[spoiler: Too bad she was already married.]]
* ObsessivelyNormal: He tries to be, often prefacing his conversations by explaining how normal he's being, but he's too clueless to be remotely normal. [[spoiler: His second quest sheds some light about why.]]
* PersonalDictionary: Benedict often mentions being a normal lumberjack. The only thing he knows about lumberjacks is that they're normal and carry around an ax.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Bivette]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bivette.png]]
Bivette is the latest recipient of an ancient power. She considers herself a magical genius who will one day be the best mage ever, but to most people she just looks a strange young girl.
----
* AllWitchesHaveCats: Bivette thinks so. She has a pet cat named Rumino to be her familiar.
* BlackMagicianGirl: She's boisterous and can cast powerful single-target [[PlayingWithFire fire]] spells.
* SelfServingMemory: She remembers being friends with a spirit that lived in a lamp as a child. When she meets the spirit again as an adult, it tries to seek retribution for all the pain she caused it.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Darunis]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/darunis.png]]
An archer in the same Baruoki guard unit as Aldo. Born into a proud hunting family, Darunis is most at home in the forest with a bow in his hand. He hates killing, be it monsters or beasts.
----
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: He sees Aldo this way, claiming that Aldo could outmatch him in no time if he wasn't goofing off or only interested in physical prowess.
* ForestRanger: His job is halfway this, halfway [[CityGuards town guard]]. As he puts it, he only defends the "human" territory from intruders.
* LongHairedPrettyBoy
* ThouShaltNotKill: He avoids killing monsters and beastfolk as it will only make them go bolder to kill their friends, even if they encroach on human territory.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Denny]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/denny.png]]
A sea-faring pirate endlessly seeking freedom. Born into a noble family, Denny rebelled against his father and ran away. The epitome of confidence, he likes to look after the weak and he is beloved wherever he goes.
----
* TheCasanova
* LongHairedPrettyBoy: Just look at that mane.
* NiceHat: Without a top in order to let his hair flow.
* {{Pirate}}: He admits you could call him one, but he's much more interested in the "freely sailing the seas with your friends" side of piracy than the "search for buried booty and plunder ships" side.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Ewan]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ewan_5.png]]
A shady-looking weapons broker, Ewan deals in possessed blades, demon swords, weapons with a bloody history and other curious weaponry. He is very harsh toward customers who have no experience in handling evil weapons.
----
* CoatCape
* CollectorOfTheStrange: He only deals in cursed weapons and mundane ones with a bloody history. The latter don't bring as much money, but it's still a pretty penny.
* CoolShades
* DropTheHammer: [[spoiler:Despite having made a pact with a cursed lance.]] He enjoys the heft of a warhammer and the loud noise of the head connecting with a target.
* ExactWords: [[spoiler:His contract with the Phantom's Lance stipulates that, in exchange of getting all his life force back, Ewan can't use Phantom's Bane to destroy it. Too bad for Phantom's Lance, Aldo also wants to destroy the evil spirit within and isn't bound by their agreement.]]
* HonestJohnsDealership: Averted. His items are genuine and, before any purchase, he makes sure the weapon fits the buyer, telling off people he sees as unfit to wield an evil weapon.
* MyGreatestFailure: [[spoiler:Finding Phantom's Lance and allowing it to seal a contract with him when he was nearing death are, in his words, not his finest moment.]]
* SweetTooth. His persona type. Shown in his various quests, where the only food he orders is extra-sweet desserts, including a ''full-course'' meal made of various cakes. [[spoiler:At first it's because losing his life force to Phantom's Lance dulled his senses, but he admits that he always was a sugar lover.]]
* WalkingShirtlessScene: Nothing above the waist save for his CoatCape and pauldrons.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: He literaly has two locks of pure blue hair on each side of his head.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Good Macky]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/101060061_base.png]]
The Good Macky shows up in the middle of the Time Mine episode, as a presence that follows you through the Macky Forest but disappears if you move too quickly. By moving slowly enough it follows the party into the mining village where it gets acquainted with its residents. After completion of the Time Mine episode, a bonus sidequest unlocks which lets the Macky join your party after you decide on its name.
----
* HelloInsertNameHere: Unlike most examples where the player could input whatever name they desire, instead it's up to the player to pick from a small selection of names from the Horai villagers.
* TokenHeroicOrc: One of the few non-humanoid characters you can add to your roster.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Komachi]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/komachi_2.png]]
A daughter from a warrior family in a country in the east. A curious and rambunctious girl, Komachi's martial arts are renowned, equal to her family. She left her home to escape an arranged marriage.
----
* YamatoNadeshiko: Her sprite and use of a naginata gives this vibe, even if she's too rebellous to actually be one.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Laclair]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/laclair.png]]
A legendary ranger known as the "Dragon Scale Hunter", Laclair has been training to kill dragons her whole life. She's tracking a dragon that's evaded her for years, following its trail of scales. She doesn't show her emotions, but somehow always seems a little sad.
----
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Lingli]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lingli.png]]
A lively Kung Fu master from across the sea, Lingli spends her days and nights looking for her missing father. She has a collection of stuffed animals from him that she treasures more than anything. Her frank personality belies her graceful martial arts.
----
* ChineseGirl: Qipao? Check. Odango? Check. Kung-fu practicioner? Check.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Lokido]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lokido_350.png]]
Lokido is [[HalfHumanHybrid the son of a beastfolk and a human woman]], resulting in him being feared and hated by both races despite his normally peaceful disposition. Unless beastfolk are involved, in which case he'll unleash his bestial fury.
----
* BerserkButton: He really doesn't like the beastfolk, since they killed his mother.
* FantasticRacism: A victim of it. Humans take one look at him and call him a monster. Aldo's the first person to defend him.
* GentleGiant: He looks like a large monster, but is gentle and doesn't fight back when people call him a fiend and chase him away.
* HumanMomNonhumanDad: His mother was a human citizen of Unigan.
* LightningBruiser: He's fast and hits like a boulder. If it weren't for his low MP pool, he'd be unstoppable.
* WarringNatures: The humans and the beastfolk are enemies of each other. Lokido sides with the humans, but he looks more like a beastman.
* WolfMan: He looks like a giant purple werewolf.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Mariel]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mariel_350.png]]
Mariel is an acolyte from the temple in Unigan. Because she's been trained there from a young age, she's talented at magic but somewhat sheltered to the outside world.
----
* CutenessProximity: She'll drop everything she's doing to play with any cat she meets.
* ModestyShorts: She wears black bloomers under her dress.
* MyGreatestFailure: Mariel failed to save someone who needed his soul healed, since she only knew magic that healed physical wounds. This motivated her to leave home and gain experience, eventually leading to her joining Aldo. [[spoiler:Turns out she ''did'' heal the soul of the man, albeit much later than their inital encounter.]]
* NiceHat: A small religous one with frilly borders.
* TeenGenius: She is still a young teenager, but [[spoiler:according to her mother, the head priest]], the fact that she can use the Pure Cradle spell puts her a notch or two above even experienced priests.
* TheRunaway: She ran away from home due to a combination of not feeling worthy of becoming a full priest and wanting to see more of the outside world. This does not sit well with her mother, but her father is happy about it.
* [[WellDoneSonGuy "Well done, Daughter" Girl]]: As she's the daughter of both the head priest (her mother) and the deputy head priest (her father) of Unigan, she feels that they will never be fully satisfied with her. [[spoiler:Turns out to be a case of AntiNepotism, as her parents treated her just like the other acolytes to avoid being accused of favoritism, but still dearly love her nonetheless behind closed doors.]]
* WhiteMage: The majority of her skills focus on healing and buffing her teammates.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:May]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/may_0.png]]
The only daughter of the Baruoki blacksmith. A bright and lively young girl, May instill joy and smiles all around her. She has dreams of crafting the ultimate weapon, and so, hammer in hand she left home to travel the world in search of unique materials.
----
* TheBlacksmith: Sadly, she can't craft gear for your team.
* ChildhoodFriends: She grew up alongside Aldo, Feinne and Nomar.
* SheIsAllGrownUp: She asks Aldo if he only noticed she's not a child anymore because she grew up in "certain" places.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Miranda]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/miranda.png]]
A pirate from the frozen seas to the north. Having left the crew that she used to sail with, Miranda headed south on her own. Her quest is to find treasure that she has lost. Strong-willed, stubborn and not above making fun of people, she'll often be found in taverns.
----
* BoisterousBruiser: She's loud, makes fun of people and is always itching for a BarBrawl.
* ExposedToTheElements: Unless she carries a fire Prisma under her hat, Miranda doesn't really dress up like someone who sails frozen seas.
* {{Pirate}}: Unlike Denny above, she admits to be one from the get-go and cares more about the "quest for plunder and send scallywags to Davy Jones' locker" side of piracy than the "have merry adventures at sea with your friends" side.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Myrus]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/101000221_base.png]]
A cheerful Beast Lady who's always eager to please. She's intrigued by the idea of Beasts and humans working as one. Ever the optimist, she's happy as long as everyone's having fun. She keeps smiling, whatever happens. When she enters Beast mode she turns into a giant bunny. Maybe that's why she's shunned by her peers.
----
* HalfIdenticalTwins: She's Vares' twin sister.
* KillerRabbit: Literaly, as her Beast mode shape is a giant spectral bunny. Her 5-star class is also called "Lapin", the French word for "rabbit".
* MasterOfNone: Due to her kit being half-offensive mage half-healer, she falls behind dedicated units, but works well to reinforce them.
* MsFanservice: While other characters also wear skimpy clothing and/or have large breasts, her artwork and sprite clearly shows her cleavage and thighs in ''flattering'' view.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Nero]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nero_36.png]]
Known to be the strongest wandering fighter in the land, Nero came to Unigan to learn from the descendant of a legendary martial artist. Once he had mastered the art he continued on his travels. He loves all things beautiful.
----
* ArrogantKungFuGuy: He is brash and aloof as well as a top-notch fighter who wants to become famous.
* BareFistedMonk: Despite using Fist weapons.
* {{Expy}}: He's a half-naked fantastic martial artist obsessed with beauty including his own, just like [[Franchise/StreetFighter Vega]]. But the similarities stop here, as he's deep down a good guy.
* WalkingTheEarth: What he does in order to perfect his martial arts, fight strong opponents and bolster his legend.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Nomar]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nomar_350.png]]
Nomar is a member of the town guard back in Aldo's hometown. He's very timid, making it an odd choice of job for him, but his attention to armor and background as part of a mining family has resulted in the in an overall improvement in the guard's equipment.
----
* CowardlyLion: While he's easily frightened, that never actually stops him from fighting monsters. His personal abilities allow him to enrage enemies into prioritizing him as a target over his companions.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Otoha]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/otoha_0.png]]
Otoha is a shrine maiden that insists that she's the reincarnation of the great cat spirit she serves. She's traveled west to find more converts, but isn't having much luck due to her self-absorbed attitude and her tendency to get distracted.
----
* CatGirl: Downplayed. Aside from hissing when she's angry and munching on catnip, she looks human.
* IdiotHero: She gets befuddled by the clues left by the robbers she chases in her second quest. The robbers are ''children''.
* MaybeMagicMaybeMundane: While it's left hanging, the fact that [[spoiler:she inconsciously attacks the beastman spy and the monsters sneaking up on Aldo]] may be pure luck as much as it may be something linked to her "godly" origins.
* RightForTheWrongReasons: She challenges the recruit she's training after the recruit shows her up. While it was mostly her ego talking, he really was a beastman spy.
* SmallNameBigEgo: Otoha is rather full of herself for a simple shrine maiden with delusions of grandeur. She justifies it by saying that being vainglourious comes with being a god.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Shion]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/another_eden_shion.png]]
Shion is a samurai from the east, who is an expert katana wielder despite his young age. Outwardly, he is reserved and cold, but he shows a lot of affection towards cats.
----
* IntrovertedCatPerson: He's not the most sociable person around, but loves cats. He carries around sardines to give to any cats he meets.
* MeaningfulName: His 5-star class is called Kagutsuchi, named after the Shinto spirit of fire. He is, with Ewan and Aldo, the top physical fire DPS.
* MortonsFork: To disobey his master would bring shame as a samurai, but to carry out his mission to [[spoiler: kill King Miglance]] would bring shame to his ancestors.
* MyMasterRightOrWrong: As a samurai, he is loyal to his master, even when he gives orders that Shion would rather not follow.
* NoTrueScotsman: No cat lover is an evil person. An evil person who has cats is not a true cat lover.
* TakeAThirdOption: He can't disobey his lord's orders because it would shame him and his lord, but he can't carry them because it would shame his bloodline. So he [[spoiler:attacks King Miglance but throws the fight everytime and reports that the king overpowered him]], knowing that he is too valuable to be allowed to commit {{Seppuku}}.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Tsukiha]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/101020081_rank5_base.png]]
A former princess of a bygone Eastern country, Tsukiha can turn any blade she wields into a weapon that curses enemies. She's cold and logical, believing the ends always justify the means. Within her lies a fury for the ones who destroyed her country and cursed her with these powers, seeking revenge.
----
* InTheHood: Just look at the size of that thing.
* RedRightHand: A literal case, even if she's not evil, just ''very'' angry.
* {{Revenge}}: Her ''raison d'être'' since the destruction of her country.
