TDL was really around for one entry, and so far the same applies to victim. They seem more like Today's Arc Villain then the main characters, and even then they belong in Adversaries.

* AchillesHeel: His cursor, it's his most important tool for interacting with objects on the computer. Destroy that and Alan's options become limited to keyboard shortcuts. Both [[EnergyWeapon The Second Coming]] & [[TouchOfDeath ViraBot]] exploit this.
* AllLowercaseLetters: His username, noogai3, is in lowercase letters and he'll also sometimes type like that when talking to other people.
* ArchEnemy: The Chosen One's first ever arch-enemy. The Animator has enslaved the Chosen One for four years, has made a stick figure with the sole purpose of killing him, and the Chosen One later destroyed his first computer. [[spoiler:They eventually forgive each other after the Chosen One helped him and his friends from [=ViraBot=]]].
* ArcVillain: Started out as a villain from his first ever appearance to ''Animator vs. Animation IV'' where becomes the BigGood in the end.
* ArtAttacker: He is "the animator" after all. He uses his mouse and his keyboard to be able to draw up various kinds of functioning weapons to fight against his stick figures in his computer whether they are digitally drawn or ASCII art forms.
* TheArtifact: Since Alan is no longer antagonistic to his stick figures (which was a key element of what started the series), he has a much a smaller role but still remains as a supporting character to the main cast [[ArtifactTitle making the franchise's title irrelevant]].
* AuthorAvatar: He is both the creator of the videos and a character within the series and is indeed named Alan Becker in real life and as noogai as a user in Newgrounds.
* BigBadDuumvirate: With the Dark Lord in ''Animator vs. Animation III'' until Alan gets betrayed by him for his carelessness.
* ButtMonkey: He tends to be the ultimate victim throughout the series; everyone else shrugs off their injuries, but the things that happen to him tend to be less inconsequential. ''Animator vs. Animation III'' ends with his computer [[UsefulNotes/BlueScreenOfDeath crashing]]. ''IV'' reveals that the computer was unusable because of a fried motherboard after the Chosen One and Dark Lord thrashed it, and has him scrambling to stop burned bridges when Second Coming vandalizes his Facebook page. Malware gets installed into his computer in ''V'', and when the other stick figures go on their adventure in ''VI'', the Animator is left blankly staring at the burning wreck that the Chosen One left his animation software in. Finally, in the videos to promote [=TeamTrees and TeamSeas=], the stick figures make a bank-breakingly large donation in his name ($5100 dollars and ''$18,547,800'' dollars, respectively).
* CapsLock: He'll sometimes type in all uppercase letters, typically used as a way to convey being in distress, [[FreudianSlip correcting himself]], or just using emoticons.
* ChallengeSeeker: He created [[TheHeavy the Chosen One]] simply because he was looking for a challenge.
* CommutingOnABus: After ''Animator vs. Animation IV'', he basically dissappeared from the series until the ''[=AvA=] Shorts'', where he is overshadowed by the stick figures. Besides this, he appears only as quick cameos in ''vs. League of Legends'' and ''vs. Pokemon''.
* EvilGod: He's not a god in his own world, but in his own computer, he's essentially like one to the stick figures he's created and the programs, as he is able to end many of the sentient programs using task manager. He, initially, starts out like this until he befriends The Second Coming eventually becoming the GodOfGood.
* TheFaceless: In-universe, we only ever see his hands--drawing, typing, picking up keys and laundry or just the back of his head, but not his face. Before the events of IV, he was only represented by his cursor never showing his real life appearance. We do get a glimpse of his face in the Actual Short "New Wallpaper", [[DownplayedTrope but it's out of focus]]. Averted in the short "Feel Better" where it's the first ever episode we see the animator's face in-universe. (Out of universe, Alan talks directly to the camera on each outro.)
* FatalFlaw: At first, his LackOfEmpathy [[WhatMeasureIsANonHuman towards stick figures]]. The reason the Chosen One managed to convince the Dark Lord to turn against him is because of his apathy to the fact his creation is about to get killed. Also, in IV, he mercilessly ends the Second Coming's friends and tries to end him as well despite the fact they weren't doing any real damage to the computer (through this might be justified as he feared that they will destroy his computer as well when they go on a rampage. Then again, it's a SelfFulfillingProphecy, as if he didn't end his friends, the Second Coming wouldn't try to destroy his computer). The Second Coming even has to spell out that the reason he's upset is because the Animator deleted his friends.
* GodOfGood: He becomes this eventually when he resurrects The Second Coming's friends after the events of Animator vs. Animation IV.
* HeelFaceTurn: While he creates stick figures just to fight for fun in the first videos, by IV, he's made peace with his newest stick figure adversary.
* NoNonsenseNemesis: Not in I-III, where he sadistically tortures the stick figure because he doesn't consider it a serious threat, but in IV, the very second he recovers from the MassOhCrap of seeing the stick figure (as well as the others on his computer) rummaging about, he force boots [[NoKillLikeOverkill Task Manager]]. Also, when the Second Coming tries to fight him, he uses the most direct means of disposal possible (select all + delete) when in the animation program.
* OhCrap: After ending the tasks of the Fighting Stick Figures, he discovers that the orange one he drew is represented by the file [=TheSecondComing.exe=], "The Chosen One's Return". We don't see his face, but his cursor slows noticeably before he tries to end the task, indicating that [[ThisIsGonnaSuck he already knows it's not going to be that easy]].
* OutOfFocus: After ''Animator Vs Animation IV'', he has a much smaller role with most of the spotlight given to The Second Coming and The Fighting Stick Figures.
* RapidFireTyping: Besides [[TechnoWizard Yellow]], Alan is very skilled and quick with typing with a keyboard as showcased in IV when he designed a stronger customized cursor without ever using his mouse after The Second Coming destroys his cursor. In III, he was able to create an ASCII version of a pistol in just a short timeframe of approximately 10 seconds.
* RageBreakingPoint: After everything the Chosen One did, up to and including destroying his computer, when the Second Coming "likes" a sad Facebook post to ruin his reputation, Alan is furious enough to slam his fist on the table and go all out on trying to destroy the Second Coming.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Has evolved into this by the end of IV. He gives The Second Coming and his friends free rein to use his computer, letting them play Minecraft and surf the web, in exchange for the Second Coming's advice on animation.
* SuddenlyVoiced: He starts talking and makes an appearance in IV as his "appearances" before were just his cursor and typing up words.
* SummonBiggerFish: [[spoiler:He is the bigger fish during ''The Showdown'', with Yellow writing a program from The Dark Lord's PC to let him contribute to the fight - represented from the stick figures' perspective as a giant cursor manifesting upon the battlefield.]]
* TerribleArtist: When he started animating, the best he could animate were stick figures with his fourth stick figure, the Second Coming, being a better artist than him. This is averted when the Second Coming teaches him how to draw and animate.
* UnexplainedRecovery: During the first ''Animator vs. Animation'' short, [=ViraBot=] destroys his cursor and then shreds the Start menu to prevent him from summoning a new one. When the scene cuts back to him in the fourth short, he's somehow managed to re-summon his cursor and is dragging the wreckage into the Recycle Bin, indicating that he didn't reboot his computer.
* UnsportsmanlikeGloating: Implicitly and wordlessly so in ''Animator vs. Animation VI'': after knocking over all the stick figures in a single blow, he flauntingly floats his cursor in a figure eight above them.
* TheWorfEffect: With his near-total external control of his computer, he is one of the most powerful allies the Second Coming and the fighting stick figures have in their setting. Naturally, whenever the stick figures face major threats, he either [[DeusExitMachina happens to be absent]] or is neutralized quickly.
* YouCannotGraspTheTrueForm: Inverted. Although he appears in the computer as a simple cursor, programs can see him through the monitor.

** When Blue gets his hands on the icon, he uses it to build a farm while cultivating multiple plants from crops to trees, establishing Blue's trait as a gardener. His potion making skills would come later in the episode "Potions".
** When Yellow grabs the icon, he creates a beacon pyramid later and a piston contraption that changes the beacon's lights, cementing Yellows skills as TheEngineer, while coding would be new for him in the episode "Command Blocks".
** For Red's case, it's an interesting and subtle moment. Most of the monsters the stick figures fight in ''Animation vs. Minecraft'' stem from Red spawning them while possessed by Herobrine. When he gets to use the Minecraft icon on his own free will, he spawns rabbits, showcasing he's TheBeastmaster and a FriendToAllLivingThings.
* FighterMageThief:
** Red is a Fighter, using a sword and shield in combat [[LeeroyJenkins and typically being the first to charge headfirst into fights]].
** Yellow is a Mage; his command block staff allows him an endless array of commands to "cast", and he usually serves as support.
** Blue is a Thief, favoring ranged weapons such as bows.
** Green is a Fighter

WordOfGod claims they are somewhere between 10 and 13.
* LovecraftLite: Of the DigitalAbomination variety. They are simple drawings (the Second Coming) and animations (the other guys) that manage to come to life out of nowhere, without anything instigating it, and manage to have as much

Whenever they interact with a video game or website, their mere influence makes characters on them come to life, too. It mixes with HumanoidAbomination and BeneloventAbomination, as they're human-like stick figures and fully heroic.
* MeanCharacterNiceActor: In the animation they come from, Red, Blue, Yellow and Green fight each other for no apparent reason. But when the animation isn't playing, they are on good terms with each other and are friendly to outsiders.
* OneManArmy: ''All of them'' are fully capable of killing armies of hostile mobs by themselves, and get even stronger whenever their friends are backing them up.
* PaletteSwap: Red, Blue, Green and Yellow look exactly the same except for their colors. The Second Coming also serves as this, but to the Chosen One, the Dark Lord and victim.
* PrimaryColorChampion: Exaggerated. With the exception of Green and
the Second Coming (whose colors are secondary), the rest of them have their own respective color from the primary colors Red, Blue and Yellow and they are certainly heroic.
* SatelliteCharacter: Green, Yellow, Blue and Red were originally one of these, serving no purpose other than giving the Second Coming a reason to battle the Animator. However, they quickly leave the area and get their own personalities.
* ShoutOut: Green, Blue, Yellow and Red are inspired by all

* TookALevelInBadass: Throughout the ''[=AvM=]'' Shorts, they gradually get more and more skilled with Minecraft.
** Throughout the first season, the use of redstone was mainly Yellow's domain. ''Redstone Academy'' has
him through teach the monitor.other sticks about the nuances of redstone, and once they know all the mechanics, they're skilled enough with it to build contraptions that reflect their preferences.
** ''Note Blocks'' has each stick figure manning one instrument for a band, and Second Coming resorting to turning the PC's volume down. ''Note Block Battle'' has Green one-manning an entire composition with the use of tripwires to reach the blocks that don't fit in his immediate vicinity, and Second Coming crashing the resulting battle with an electric guitar solo.
** ''The Nether'' has Green and Blue helpless against a small group of zombie pigmen, having to mount a Ghast in order to turn the tide. ''The Piglin War'' has Blue able to simultaneously slaughter a zombified Piglin horde ''and'' keep a living Piglin hunting squad at bay non-lethally, all on his own.

The Second Coming possesses [[AmbiguousSituation unknown connections]] to the Chosen One: Task Manager states he is "the Chosen One's Return", though ''Animator vs. Animation V'' contradicts it by revealing the Chosen One is alive and well. There's even a moment in ''Animator vs Animation IV'' where he glitches into the Chosen One's appearance for a split second. He doesn't [[spoiler:[[EleventhHourSuperPower usually]]]] have any special powers, only fighting Alan by physical punches, kicks, and whatever [[ImprovisedWeapon jury rigged weapons and tools]] he can create (like a laser pistol) or use (using the pencil tool to create drawings to wreck the animation interface).
* TheBeastmaster: Shows shades of this in ''Wanted'', as he draws several animals to aid him in battle.
* CainAndAbel: [[spoiler:The Animator's creations can be seen as brothers due to sharing the same creator, and the Second Coming and the Dark Lord try to kill each other upon meeting. [[UncertainDoom The former might have succeeded]].]]
* TheCameo: He makes a cameo as a structure in [=YouTube's=] 1 trillion view milestone for ''Minecraft'' content due to the popularity of the ''Animation vs. Minecraft'' video.
* CharacterDevelopment: After the Stick Gang's incident with the different worlds explored through the Nether Portals in Season 1, the Second Coming wanted nothing
more information than to avoid leaving Alan's PC at any cost and was heavily disappointed when Blue's quest for nether wart forced him and the others to leave home once again to find him. In "Lush Caves", however, he realizes that if he never left Alan's PC, he would've never discovered the amazing worlds that existed outside and became more willing to explore.
* TheChosenOne: Alan's orange stick figure is named [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast "The Second Coming"]], but unlike the Chosen One, we don’t know where the name came from - Alan never even turned him into a named symbol. He also fits the role of hero much more cleanly than The Chosen One, being a FriendToAllLivingThings with a [[spoiler:[[SuperpoweredEvilSide Superpowered]] ''[[PlayingWith Good]]'' [[SuperpoweredEvilSide Side]]]], an ally to [[BigGood Alan]], and TheLeader of his group of friends; and he’s been
on multiple adventures to save his friends and [[{{Cyberspace}} the internet]], even [[spoiler:singlehandedly defeating the Dark Lord]].
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Unlike his animated predecessors, the Second Coming became on good terms with Alan and is a permanent character in the series.
* DefenceMechanismSuperpower: It's implied that [[spoiler:the powers the Second Coming unleashed near the end of ''The Showdown'' will only activate under dire circumstances, as they vanish once the danger has passed and the Second Coming can't summon them at will.]]
* {{Determinator}}: In IV when Alan attempts to end TSC using task manager: [[DidYouJustFlipOffCthulhu "This action cannot be completed because the program is too resistant."]]
* DidWeJustHaveTeaWithCthulhu: He befriends the Warden in its titular episode.
* TheDreaded: [[spoiler:Anyone who knows of his SuperMode quickly knows to not screw with him: The Dark Lord is send [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere running in fear]], the Chosen One is shocked upon seeing it and meekly deems himself weaker with a PoseOfSupplication, while victim and the Mercenaries can do nothing but look at a recording of his CurbStompBattle against the Dark Lord in fear before putting him in a maximum security cage. The Second Coming's body language implies ''he's afraid of himself''. The only exception to
this character, see [[Characters/AnimatorVsAnimationAdversaries here]]''.are the [[FeralVillain ViraBots]], who [[OneHitKill don't live long enough to learn their lesson]].]]
* EmpoweredBadassNormal: [[spoiler:He is revealed to have powers in ''The Showdown''. Though the fact that it took a NearVillainVictory and the loss of his friends to trigger them, plus ending with a PostVictoryCollapse, indicate that they're not as easily used as they are for the Chosen One himself.]]
* ForgotFlandersCouldDoThat: In their debut, the Second Coming displays the ability to spontaneously create text when the Animator boxes them in. This trait was generally left to be forgotten as the series favored a dialogue-less SilenceIsGolden approach, but "Music Lesson" remembers Second Coming's text creation ability when he attempt to sing with Green.
* GoodIsNotSoft: He is mostly a NiceGuy willing to forgive his opponents despite his JerkWithAHeartOfGold tendencies, but he is not afraid to fight or even ''kill'' his opponents if they cross him. Herobrine, [=YouTube=], dozens upon dozens of hostile mobs and [[spoiler:the Dark Lord]] all learned this the hard way.
* HealingFactor: [[spoiler:One of his [[EleventhHourSuperpower secret superpowers]] is the ability to instantly heal his own injuries.]]
* HeroicSecondWind: [[spoiler:In tandem with EleventhHourSuperpower; not only does he gain powers like the Dark Lord and the Chosen One, his are actually powerful enough to finish off the Dark Lord completely.]]
* HiddenDepths: He's a really good artist--and in the end, he's willing to teach the Animator what he knows.
* InexplicablyAwesome: His name and title suggest he's ''somehow'' a remnant of the Chosen One, returned three years and a whole new computer later. Then it turns out The Chosen One was still alive the whole time doing his own thing on the internet. This makes it ''even more inexplicable'' that he has the name and title, [[spoiler:along with [[EleventhHourSuperpower latent powers]]]], especially since he wasn't named or empowered deliberately like the Chosen One or the Dark Lord. As far as anyone can tell, he's just a random half-finished doodle that developed an identity out of nowhere [[spoiler:and somehow possesses the strongest power in all of cyberspace]].
* TheLeader: Of his group of friends. That being said, they can do lots of cool things without him.
* LightIsGood: He's TheHero of the series and his color is a lighter shade of orange than King Orange's.
* LightningBruiser: Though [[spoiler:([[EleventhHourSuperpower at first]])]] lacking explicit superpowers like the Chosen One, he is much faster and stronger than victim was, capable of crazy acrobatics and breaking interface elements with strength alone.
* MacGyvering: This seems to be his key skill among his friends besides being an artist. He built a functioning ray gun out of Flash's tool icons, and figured out instantly how to make armor and weapons in Minecraft.
* MeaningfulName: Called "The Second Coming" and "The Chosen One's Return" by the task manager in his debut episode. His handiness with tools and random objects also evokes that of victim's, so he could also be considered a "second coming" of him. [[spoiler: Pulls out some similar powers to the Chosen One to win the fight against the Dark Lord in ''The Showdown''.]]
* NonindicativeName: A rare case of overlap with MeaningfulName above; with the original Chosen One revealed to have survived the events of ''III'' in ''V'', the Second Coming's name and status as "The Chosen One's Return" is very much not literal, despite the origins of his character in ''IV''. [[spoiler: Nonetheless, he has managed to inherit the legacy of both of Alan's previous stick figures debuting in ''I'' and ''II'', only with far greater power behind both their defining traits, namely victim's ingenuity and Chosen One's FlyingBrick powers.]]
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: Downplayed as other characters share his design, but as he is the only member of the Stick Gang to have a unique design, the Second Coming stands out among his friends. Compared to the other sticks, he has a bigger and more roughly drawn head, no feet, slightly smaller proportions, and his head is hollow. [[LampshadeHanging Lampshaded]] in "Basketball", where Blue turns his head into a basketball hoop (revealed to be AllJustADream), and "Color Correction", where Yellow fills Second Coming's head with color, weighing his head down.
* NoSell: The first and most consistently obvious indication that there's more to him than just an orange stick figure is that he ''will not'' be deleted. He resists the Animator trying to end his task while his friends instantly vanished, and [[spoiler:while the Dark Lord's energy blade erased his friends and clearly ''hurts'' him, no matter how many times he's slashed and stabbed, he doesn't fade away]].
* OnlySaneMan: Tends to be towards this in the newer animations.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: The Second Coming usually shows a lot of emotions no matter what: even when fighting, you can usually tell if he's [[BloodKnight enjoying a friendly spar]] or enraged at whoever he is fithing. [[spoiler:This makes his SuperMode all the more weird and unnerving, as he displays ''zero'' emotion while giving a total CurbStompBattle against the Dark Lord.]]
* OutsideContextProblem: [[spoiler:Not once has anyone witnessed powers as great as the Second Coming's SuperMode, and since only the Chosen One was around to witness them (with TSC gaining amnesia after he's done using them), nobody knows of their existence or how to deal around them. Even ''the Second Coming'' doesn't know his own powers due to the aforementioned amnesia, and is as shocked as everyone else when he learns what he can do.]]
* ThePenIsMightier: Befitting his skills as both a [[BloodKnight fighter]] and [[ArtAttacker an artist]], he uses a digital pencil that can draw up any weapon or an ally [[CreatingLife that can come to life]] in order to assist the Chosen One, even creating them to [[MundaneUtility help the Animator with drawings]].
* ThePowerOfCreation: In the ''[=AvA=]'' animations, their power tends to relate to their utilization of tools create: wielding a [[ThePenIsMightier pencil]] and using related animation implements to create actual weapons or spawn beasts. This is in contrast to the Chosen One's superpowers and the Fighting Stick Figures' martial arts, and serves as symbolism for how Second Coming is on friendlier terms the artistically-oriented Animator than the other stick figures.
* RedBaron: The Chosen One's Return.
* {{Reincarnation}}: Implied to be one of the Chosen One, as Task Manager calls it "The Chosen One's return". [[spoiler:Subverted when the Chosen One returns in ''[=AvA=] V'']].
* {{Retcon}}: He was originally meant to be a reincarnation of the Chosen One, but ''Animator vs. Animation V'' has the Chosen One come back.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge:
** He goes on like this when the Animator ends his friends by leaving insulting comments on the animator's Facebook posts of his friends.
** [[spoiler:He goes on a brief one against the Dark Lord in ''Animator vs. Animation V'' after seeing his friends killed, gaining [[EleventhHourSuperpower 11th-Hour Superpowers]] in the process.]]
* {{Sleepyhead}}: TSC has had moments where he'd have trouble sleeping due to his friends' shenanigans like playing heavy music or other times where he'd have trouble staying awake whenever his friends are building in the building competitions.
* StatusQuoIsGod: [[spoiler:Sure, he's got his own powers like the Chosen One and the Dark Lord, but he's one of the main characters, so how do you make sure he isn't overpowered for the rest of the series? Make him forget that he has powers, of course!]]
* SupportingProtagonist: Downplayed. While still TheHero, some of the ''[=AvM=] Shorts'' episodes have him take a backseat, allowing the Fighting Stick Figures to have the spotlight.
* TraumaInducedAmnesia: [[spoiler:Sure, he's got his own powers like the Chosen One and the Dark Lord, but unlike the former two, he retains no memory of his powers, having awakened them in a near-death experience and the death of his friends. He only learns of this when he sees Chosen One's memory of it, with his body language implying he's terrified of himself and what he can do.]]
* TurnedAgainstTheirMasters: It's a living drawing that initially wants his creator dead for killing his friends. When the animator revives The Second Coming's friends, TSC gets over it.
* TurnsRed:
** When he loses his temper in ''IV'', he blinks in and out with the Chosen One's appearance. [[EarlyInstallmentWeirdness This never happens again]].
** In ''The Showdown'', [[spoiler:he gains super powers in order to defeat the Dark Lord, after the Dark Lord killed all his friends and beat him to a pulp. Fittingly enough, he has green particles flowing around him to show how abnormal and enraged he is.]]
* WorldsStrongestMan: [[spoiler:His SuperMode makes him ''the'' strongest in the entire ''[=AvA=]'' series, no contest about it.]]
* VibrantOrange: He's orange in color and like his friends, he's incredibly enthusiastic and exciteful about many things as well as being sociable and full of tenacity.

of the animator. He was marked as "The Chosen One" so four Fighting Stick Figures from the [=SticksFight=] website, and [[TheLancer the Second Coming's closest friend]]. He's very good at building and music, ocassionally has ButtMonkey tendencies, and has a troubled relationship with Purple that the animator could have a greater challenge to fight. After his defeat, he ends up enslaved until he manages to destroy and escape from Alan's computer and into the internet when he teams up with the Dark Lord.is finally settled in "Note Block Universe.

* AchillesHeel: He can take on single opponents no problem, but the few times he's been overpowered were when he was made to fight [[ZergRush several enemies at once]].
* ApeShallNeverKillApe: Implied, given how his HeelRealization starts when [[spoiler:seeing the Dark Lord killing fellow stick figures]] and that his ImagineSpot, which causes him to try and stop the Dark Lord, has him [[spoiler:killing stick figures]]. Even during ''III'', the Chosen One spares the Dark Lord so they could defeat the Animator, despite him trying to kill him throughout the entire episode. [[spoiler:This is completely subverted during "The Showdown": The Chosen One is perfectly willing to kill a fellow stick figure. That said, said stick figure is an AxCrazy bastard who tried to destroy entire computers without a second thought, so this is very much justified]].
* ArchEnemy: To two characters.
** The Animator. Even before being enslaved, the Chosen One started a rampage for absolutely zero reason mere seconds after his creation. Afterwards, the Animator made a stick figure with the sole purpose of killing the Chosen One. The Chosen One repays him by destroying his computer. They eventually team up to take down the bigger threat.
** [[spoiler:The Dark Lord was created for the sole purpose of killing the Chosen One, and after the two become friends, the Chosen One eventually distances himself from the Dark Lord due to his path of chaos and destruction. When they become enemies once again, the Chosen One goes absolutely NoNonsenseNemesis on him, fully determined to stop his once-friend's rampage, it being seen more than once that the Chosen One is absolutely ''pissed'']].
* BadassInDistress: [[spoiler:He ends up captured at the end of episode 1 of Animator vs. Animation VI-- "Wanted" ending up in a facility after he was pursued by a group of mercenaries of varying art styles and abilities who are all working for the stick figure who runs the organization (who resembles like him)]].
* BigDamnHeroes: When [=ViraBot=] was about to kill everyone, he appears right at the last second to fight against it; even when he has to help Alan and save his computer.
* BroughtDownToBadass: The Chosen One can still put up a fight even if his powers are disabled and he's fighting a superhuman opponent.
* BulletSeed: After eating text he gets the ability to spit letters.
* TheChosenOne: Invoked in his name but not played straight. He wasn't chosen by gods nor does he have any quests. His name seems to simply indicate his power level and the animator intentionally created an over-powered stick figure to fight for fun. It took years of real time to see him do something heroic, which is stopping a virus from infecting every computer in the world, starting with the animator's computer despite the animosity toward each other they used to have.
* ComboPlatterPowers: He's a FlyingBrick that can use FireIceLightning, and EyeBeams.
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Unlike victim who only became hostile against the animator for provoking and attempted to kill him, The Chosen One on the other hand, became destructive the moment he came to life and he ends up being enslaved instead of being deleted.
* {{Determinator}}: In "The Box", the Chosen One gives his all against [[spoiler:victim despite the latter having a HomeFieldAdvantage that can disable the Chosen One's powers and power himself up. Even when the Chosen One is too injured to fight back, he refuses to tell victim anything about the Animator. When a device is attached to the Chosen One's head to show his memories, he tries to stop it by banging his head on the ground.]]
* DeusExMachina: There was no foreshadowing he would return and save everyone from [=ViraBot=] especially since he destroyed the old computer he resided in. Subverted in "The Flashback", which showed not only how he survived the computer's destruction, but why he was chasing [=ViraBot=].
* EvenEvilHasStandards: [[spoiler: Has no issues wreaking havoc throughout the internet alongside the Dark Lord for a while, but as the Dark Lord begins harming other stick figures and the like, the Chosen One starts having second thoughts. When the Dark Lord creates [=ViraBot=], the Chosen One decides he's gone too far. Even when he sees that it was shot at Alan's computer and remembers how Alan treated him, the Chosen One still decides to chase after [=ViraBot=].]]
* ExtremeOmnivore: He's shown to swallow text and icons.
* EyeBeams: He can fire [[EnergyWeapon Frickin' Laser Beams]] from eyes.
* FireIceLightning: He mainly uses fire attacks, but he has shown the ability to summon down lightning, and has occasionally launched a freezing blast from his hands, even creating a giant iceberg to obscure the mercenaries view.
* TheHeavy: His rampage caused a chain of events leading to the Dark Lord being created, the Animator's first computer being destroyed, [[TheHero the Second Coming]] being created, him befriending the Fighting Stick Figures and causing the Animator to pull a HeelFaceTurn.
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler:In ''The Chosen One's Return'' it's finally revealed he no longer holds a grudge against Alan. Confirmed further in ''The Flashback'' where he chases after the virus after realizing it was shot at Alan's computer.]]
* AnIcePerson: He rarely uses his ice powers but has shown to use them such as being able to freeze Mozilla Firefox in II and at one point create a giant iceberg to block the mercenaries vantage point.
* IdenticalStranger: He has the exact same appearance as victim but they are separate characters with different powers and personalities. Alan did consider naming him victim as well before changing his mind, but he didn't change his appearance.
* ImprovisedWeaponUser: He can use the scroll bar as a staff, the MS Paint's paintbrush as swords and the arrows as spears.
* LateArrivalSpoiler: His survival would have certainly be a huge spoiler if not for the fact that one of the episodes is titled "The Chosen One's Return" and that all but ''one'' of the ''[=AvA=] Shorts'' thumbnails include him in them.
* MegatonPunch:
** His final attack after using all his powers on [=ViraBot=], the one that completely destroys him.
** Also does this on [[spoiler:The Dark Lord to stop him from launching his virus]]. It failed, but he did break the machine and launched [[spoiler:the Dark Lord quite a ways away.]]
* MundaneUtility: While under slavery by Alan, his powers are simply used to destroy pop-ups.
* NonIndicativeName: For name like "The Chosen One", you'd think he would be the one chosen to be granted with powers to protect the world and help the common people, right? Well you'd be wrong, because pretty much everything he does the moment he came to life, is the '''exact''' opposite of what would be expected, with him destroying everything and killing everyone in his path to the point he's teamed up with "The Dark Lord" and destroy their creator's computer and continue down their sinister path. That is, until, he starts to have second thought about his actions and makes a HeelFaceTurn.
* NoNonsenseNemesis: When he finally has [=ViraBot=] in a vulnerable position, he unleashes absolutely ''everything'' in his arsenal to take it out. Even more when he faces off against [[spoiler:the Dark Lord]] afterwards.
* NoSell: He can resist [=ViraBot=]'s TouchOfDeath unlike Alan's cursor.
* NotQuiteDead: [[spoiler:He escaped off-screen during the destruction of Alan's old PC by jumping into the internet itself]], showing how he returned to stop [=ViraBot=].
* NotQuiteFlight: He can levitate by shooting fire from his hands.
* NotSoInvincibleAfterAll: Upon his creation, he immediately proves to be a force to be reckoned with, fighting through most of the Animator's defenses and desktop icons with relative ease. The Animator's programmer friend even says that creating The Chosen One is a "suicide" move. That being said, the programmer was about to reveal a way to defeat The Chosen One before [[HisNameIs being cut off by AIM's death]], and The Chosen One is eventually restrained by Avast! Antivirus. Thus it's established from the beginning that The Chosen One is extremely powerful, but not ''uniquely'' or ''insurmountably'' powerful.
* PlayingWithFire: His most often used powers are fire-related ones. He can [[WreathedInFlames engulf himself in flame]] as a BattleAura, shoot {{Fireballs}} or streams of fire from his hands as an attack or to [[NotQuiteFlight propel himself through the air]], and [[BreathWeapon breathe fire]].
* PoseOfSupplication: Gives one to [[spoiler:the Second Coming]] at the end of ''The Showdown'', [[spoiler:out of respect for his ability to defeat the Dark Lord, whereas he could not.]]
* ShockAndAwe: Was able to summon a thundercloud complete with lightning in II. He also uses lightning to finish [=ViraBot=] off in ''The Chosen One's Return''.
* SuicidalCosmicTemperTantrum: Immediately after being created he sets about carving a path of destruction across his creator's software, working his way up to threatening the existence of the system itself, seemingly not caring that he himself is in the system and would go down with it. The second time it's {{Subverted|Trope}} as it's later revealed he had the idea to escape through the internet connection -- but the first time he gives no indication of stopping or escaping even as he's about to stomp on the shutdown.
* ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill: The way he finishes off [=ViraBot=]. He sucks him into tornado before blasting him with lightning, shooting him with massive laser beams and huge jets of fire before finishing it with a charged punch.
* WeUsedToBeFriends: He fell out with [[spoiler:the Dark Lord]] when he realized that [[spoiler:he is ''[[OmnicidalManiac absolutely demented]].]]'' When he discovers [[spoiler:him making the [=ViraBot=]]], he is quick to try and stop him.
* WhatYouAreInTheDark: [[spoiler:He failed to stop the Dark Lord from launching [=ViraBot=], and was about to go after it when he noticed the destination: ALANSPC]]. He could have let [=ViraBot=] destroy the computer, not only as revenge against the Animator who created him to be tormented and locked him up as a pop-up blocker, but as karma for [[spoiler:creating the Dark Lord]] in the first place, and Alan would be none the wiser. The Chosen One decided to go after it anyways.
* TheWorfEffect: In "The Showdown", he fights the Dark Lord evenly in prolonged combat, but is eventually overwhelmed by [[spoiler:the Dark Lord's [=ViraBot=] army, leaving the Second Coming as the final hope of defeating the Dark Lord]].
* WorfHadTheFlu: In "The Box", his losing fight and subsequent interrogation from [[spoiler:victim was only possible due to the fact that he was confined in the titular box, causing his powers to be seized and sometimes backfire against him. Not to mention, victim was also heavily buffed while The Chosen One was fresh off his fight with the Mercenaries, making the whole ordeal a massive disadvantage to him]].

* AchillesHeel: He can take on single opponents no problem, TheAce: His defining character trait as of ''vs. Minecraft''. Not only is Green a skilled artist and musician, but the few times he's been overpowered were when he was made to fight [[ZergRush several enemies at once]].
* ApeShallNeverKillApe: Implied, given how
also one of the best fighters of the gang and his HeelRealization starts when [[spoiler:seeing the Dark Lord killing fellow stick figures]] and that his ImagineSpot, which causes him to try and stop the Dark Lord, has him [[spoiler:killing stick figures]]. Even during ''III'', the Chosen One spares the Dark Lord so they could defeat the Animator, despite him trying to kill him throughout the entire episode. latter stick figure to fight for fun. It took years of real time to see him do something heroic, collapse in shame. That said, there are just a few fields that he's less skilled at than his peers, which would make him closer to a JackOfAllTrades.
* ArchEnemy: Used to have this relationship with Purple, which was best showcased in Season 3 of the ''[=AvM Shorts=]'', where Green's character arc revolves around tracking down Purple after [[spoiler:he ''once again'' betrays the Stick Gang, at first being simply enraged at him, but eventually calming down and just trying to find out ''why''
is he doing all this. Upon learning of Purple's DarkAndTroubledPast, he forgives him and gives him another chance, resulting in Purple finally stopping the HeelFaceRevolvingDoor by choosing to stay on the good side]].
* BestFriend:
** He’s probably the closest friend to Second Coming. In ''Animator vs. Animation IV'', he is the first to greet and welcome Second Coming then runs to hug him before he disappeared as the last stick figure, and he gives him
a virus from infecting every computer friendly hug in the world, starting epilogue before they have a sparing match. In ''vs. Minecraft'', in addition to being the second stick figure to interact with the animator's computer Minecraft block, he also personally helps to pull Second Coming away from being killed despite his own injuries and near defeat at the animosity toward each other hands of a possessed Red. In ''vs. [=YouTube=]'', he helps Second Coming defeat [=YouTube=] itself. In the [=SkyBlock=] arc of the ''[=AvM=]'' shorts, he’s also the one who misses Second Coming the most. Right before reuniting with him in The Dolphin Kingdom video, Green makes it known to the others that he misses him as he is looking at a picture of them all. And as soon as they used to have.
* ComboPlatterPowers: He's a FlyingBrick that can use FireIceLightning, and EyeBeams.

* {{Deuteragonist}}: Of ''vs. [=YouTube=]''. He's the one who defeats [=YouTube=] with the Second Coming's help, by uploading himself as a video so

* AnIcePerson: He rarely uses his ice powers but has shown to use them such

* IdenticalStranger: He has the exact same appearance as victim but they are separate characters with different powers and personalities. Alan did consider naming him victim as well before changing his mind, but he didn't change his appearance.
* ImprovisedWeaponUser: He can use the scroll bar as a staff, the MS Paint's paintbrush as swords and the arrows as spears.

Well you'd be wrong, because pretty much everything he does the moment he came to life, is the '''exact''' opposite of what would be expected, with him destroying everything and killing everyone in his path most by a large margin to the point he's teamed up with "The Dark Lord" and destroy their creator's computer and continue down their sinister path. That is, until, he starts to have second thought about his actions and makes a HeelFaceTurn.
* NoNonsenseNemesis: When he finally has [=ViraBot=] in a vulnerable position, he unleashes absolutely ''everything'' in his arsenal to take

That
being said, the programmer was about his [[WeaponSpecialization weapon of choice]].
* RunningGag: Almost every time he wins a build contest, [[SoreLoser someone tries

* WeUsedToBeFriends: He fell out with [[spoiler:the Dark Lord]] when he realized that [[spoiler:he is ''[[OmnicidalManiac absolutely demented]].]]''
TookALevelInBadass: When he discovers [[spoiler:him making the [=ViraBot=]]], he is quick to try and stop him.
* WhatYouAreInTheDark: [[spoiler:He failed to stop the Dark Lord from launching [=ViraBot=], and was about to go after it when he noticed the destination: ALANSPC]]. He could have let [=ViraBot=] destroy the computer, not only as revenge against the Animator who created him to be tormented and locked him up as a pop-up blocker, but as karma for [[spoiler:creating the Dark Lord]] in the

* TheWorfEffect: In "The Showdown", he fights the Dark Lord evenly

* WorfHadTheFlu: In "The Box", his losing fight and subsequent interrogation from [[spoiler:victim was only possible due to the fact that he was confined in the titular box, causing his powers to be seized and sometimes backfire against him. of the animator. He was marked as "The Dark Lord" sticks from the [=SticksFight=] website. Compared to his friends, he's shown to enjoy gardening, alchemy and was created to fight against the Chosen One to stop his rampage, but they teamed up cooking. He also prefers using a bow over swordfighting, and escaped into the Internet.is Yellow's BestFriend. [[BreadEggsMilkSquick He's obsessed with eating nether wart]].

--> ''For more information on this character, see [[Characters/AnimatorVsAnimationAdversaries here]]''.

to:

--> ''For * ADayInTheLimelight: He gets the spotlight in the promotional plugs ''Blue's New Superpower'' and ''Animation vs. Trash'' where he has the ability to cast from money.
* AlchemyIsMagic:
** "Potions" has him discover and subsequently experiment with Minecraft's brewing mechanics.
** In "[=PvP=]", he's shown brewing potions of invisibility to give himself and Red an edge in the fight.
** Becomes a true master by "The Witch", making incredibly complex transformation potions just as well as the titular witch.
* ArcherArchetype: He often wields a bow in the ''Minecraft'' episodes. Also, in ''vs. League of Legends'', he becomes the Rogue of the team, bow and all.
* BestFriend: Of Yellow. While they were shown to be close since as early as Season 1 of the ''[=AvM=] Shorts'', but Season 3 ''really'' hammers it down by having them be by each other's side throughout the majority of the season.
* BizarreTasteInFood: Blue ''[[ICantBelieveItsNotHeroin really]]'' likes eating nether wart, which isn't normally edible in ''Minecraft''. He's seemingly the only person to enjoy it.
* BlueIsHeroic: He's blue in color and is heroic member of the main cast.
* CaringGardener: His first impulse with the ''Minecraft'' Game Icon is to grow a garden, and he's introduced lovingly tending his garden in "Potions". When Red's pig goes after his plants, he's visibly upset.
* CastFromMoney: In the videos for [=#TeamTrees and #TeamSeas=], the effects of dollar donations are represented by Blue's superpowers, which work like this. Throw a bill on empty ground, grow a tree. Throw a bill on oceanic trash, cause it to vanish. Although in reality, his superpowers happen in TSC's dreams.
* CharacterDevelopment: If "The Chef" is any indication, while he still enjoys nether wart, he's not as crazy about it as he was before. The only time his previous obsession comes up in that episode is when he tops his pizza with nether wart, and even then he easily resists eating it himself as it's needed for a trade.
* ChefOfIron: Is shown to be the best cook of the group (yes, including recipes that don't include [[RunningGag nether wart]]), and is as capable in a fight as any of his friends.
* ChekhovsSkill: Blue smacking himself in the face with his freshly-grown tree [[spoiler:is the key to defeating a possessed Red at the end of ''vs. Minecraft''.]]
* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: Blue is basically a nether wart addict ever since he first tasted them in "Potions", being shown eating them very often.
** Taken to its extreme in Season 3, where ''the entire season'' starts with Blue losing his crap at lacking nether wart and gunning to the Nether to get some, causing a massive ButterflyEffect that results in [[spoiler:King Orange almost succeeding in destroying the entirety of ''Minecraft'']].
*** The Witch and King Orange are both aware of this and use it to their advantage throughout the season: The former turns him into a piston as part of an automatic nether wart far, relying on him to automatically lunge after it and break it. His body language indicates that he doesn't even realize the ForcedTransformation at first, and not being able to eat the nether wart growing in front of him is basically [[AndIMustScream his own personal hell]]. Meanwhile, when Blue is initially hesitant to join the latter when offered, due to remembering how that went with Purple, he ''immediately'' changes his mind when he sees his offered throne is surrounded by nether wart; emphasized by the slow manner with which he puts on the crown and walks toward the throne while reaching out towards it, almost like he's hypnotized, only snapping out of it when Green breaks in to explain King Orange's true intentions.
** In "Carrot on a Stick", Yellow uses Blue's obsession with nether wart to win the race, riding his back and luring him with nether wart on a stick. Later on in "Color Confusion", it's shown Blue's obsession goes so far he's drawing nether wart.
** In "The Chef", when everyone is making pizza, Blue tops his with nether wart.
* ICantBelieveItsNotHeroin: While not exactly high after it, his "addiction" to nether wart rather seems like a heroin addiction. This makes his friends unfortunately look like enablers, as while they are aware and disgusted by it, they never directly try to stop him from consuming more.
* ImprobableAimingSkills: In the climax of ''vs. Minecraft'', a well-timed arrow tossed at the ''Minecraft'' Game Icon saves it from getting grabbed by the Herobrine-haunted Red.
* LongRangeFighter: In contrast with the rest of the team, he prefers bows and crossbows in combat. Fittingly, the Second Coming equips Blue with a pair of pistols in ''Animator vs. Animation VI'' during their playfight against the Animator.
* ThePacifist: Downplayed, as he ''is'' willing to get his hands dirty, but it's shown several times he's willing to go the less-brutal way if he has the option to. He tries to play peacemaker between TSC and Orange in "[=PvP=]", he's trying to befriend the Piglins instead of attacking him, and the In Real Time release of ''[=AvM=]'' Season 3 has him trying to discuss things with his Piglin Brute before resulting to a very brief fight where he's
more information focused on running away then defeating the Piglin.
* ObsessedWithFood: His second character trait after CaringGardener: he's typically associated with food. He prepares a cake in "The Nether", the videos for [=#TeamTrees and #TeamSeas=] are about him running food stands, and in "The Piglin War" his first reaction to seeing the new Nether is trying to eat the unfamilliar flora. By the time "The Chef" happened, he's essentially become the TeamChef. And
this character, see [[Characters/AnimatorVsAnimationAdversaries here]]''.is ignoring the nether wart.
* TeamChef: Effectively became this for the stick figures, having the most knowledge in raising crops and cooking them, and was the one that wrote the cookbook in "The Chef".
* PapaWolf: To the Piglin Child, as much as the tribe's leader.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: [[AlienKudzu Nether wart]], of all things. He discovers its taste in "Potions" and it's become an important part of his character ever since.

One of the [=SticksFight=] fighters, Yellow is an expert at engineering and coding, being considered TheSmartGuy of the group. He is additionally the BestFriend of Blue. At the end of Season 3 of the ''[=AvM Shorts=]'', he is given the Command Block Staff by King Orange, thus making him very dangerous if the situation calls for it, though he prefers using the staff for harmless things like making a racetrack for his friends.
----
* AesopAmnesia: Demonstrates this in the Actual Short "It's Alive!", where he apparently forgets the events of "Command Blocks" and decides it'd be a great idea to give life to such a block. The only reason that this doesn't end in disaster is because his friends remember those events all too well and are quick to stop him. In general, Yellow's entire obssession with King Orange's command block in Season 3 can be called a big case of this, as he's determined to get it while apparently not remembering what happened the last time he used one.
* BadassTeacher: A skilled fighter that also happens to be the teacher of his Redstone Academy.
* BestFriend: Of Blue. While they were shown to be close since as early as Season 1 of the ''[=AvM=] Shorts'', but Season 3 ''really'' hammers it down by having them be by each other's side throughout the majority of the season.
* ADayInTheLimelight: Gets the most focus out of all the stick figures, including the
Second Coming]]
!!The
Coming, in ''vs. Arcade Games''. He creates a functioning arcade cabinet, is skilled in arcade gaming, defeated a rogue [[WellIntentionedExtremist Q*bert]] and convinced him to bring back his friends.
* DemolitionsExpert: Out of all the stick figures, he seems to be the one who handles [=TNT=] the most, even utilizing them in a grenade-like fashion.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: See TooCleverByHalf. He often comes up with what are seemingly clever solutions, only to inadvertently reap even worse repercussions.
* DumbAndDrummer: Inverted. He serves as the drummer in both the episodes "Note Blocks" and "Note Block Battle" as well as being one of the most intelligent stick figures capable of coding and making redstone contraptions.
* TheGadfly: The first thing he does when finding out about command blocks is troll Red with a hard-to-get cake.
* GadgeteerGenius: His persona--he's an absolute genius with redstone. He graduates from building a rapid-fire arrow dispenser in ''vs. Minecraft'' to a huge underground roller coaster network, he's the one who sets up the drumbeats with redstone torches in "Note Blocks", and figures out the command blocks in no time at all in "Command Blocks".
* HollywoodHacking: In "The Showdown", he manages to hack and access the Dark Lord's computer in his console in order to summon the Animator to aid the Chosen One against the Dark Lord. Don't ask us how he knew the password to the console, he just did.
* MagicStaff: [[spoiler:In "The Raid", the Villagers make Yellow a staff not unlike King Orange's in order for him to efficiently wield the Command Block that he swiped. It's not quite enough to stop King Orange, who at that point had ''two'' Game Icons. It gets destroyed in "The King", but at the end of the episode the titular King entrusts his own staff and the Command Block to Yellow. From that point on, it becomes Yellow's [[WeaponSpecialization signature weapon]], specifically with the Command Block installed]].
* TheSmartGuy: Is the one to figure out how to [[spoiler:use the Dark Lord's computer to call for help from the Animator against the Dark Lord]]. He also takes to redstone builds like a duck to water in ''Minecraft''.
* SmartPeopleWearGlasses: Is characterized like this in the "Faces" Actual Short, due to his extensive smarts in redstone.
* TooCleverByHalf: One of his trademarks has him ideate and realise some of his greatest ideas, only to face hilarious fails when he progresses through them:
** In "The Roller Coaster", he builds a vast, intricate, layered, amazing roller coaster underground... but fails to account for ''Minecraft'' physics, causing his friends to fall off a cliff. Oops.
** In "Command Blocks", he spawns lightning to make a dramatic display for Red, smiting zombies from on high. [[spoiler:The lightning hits the command blocks, causing a massive InterfaceScrew that engulfs the computer itself--only the
Second Coming
Coming's quick thinking saves the day.]]
** In "Lucky Blocks", he decides to take apart a Lucky Block to see how it works, and eventually returns with a mysterious orb that spawns all the mobs and items spawned by a Lucky Block. The Orb ends up possessing him and eventually the rest of his friends. They end up getting saved by, of all things, a flying, armed, and armored pig. He at least learns his lesson, unlike Red, as proven in "Lucky Block Staff".
* YouShallNotPass: Does this is in the Actual Short of the same name against the Spider Queen and Wither King.

The final of the [=SticksFight=] fighters, Red is somewhat childish and impulsive while also being TheBeastmaster and a FriendToAllLivingThings. He really likes pigs and has a weird connection to Herobrine.
----
* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: In "Monster School". After Herobrine's teleportation makes him accidentally bump into Endie, Skellington and Spider, they begin to hate him. When the lattermost trips him for fun, ''every other student in the school'' begins bullying him for amusement. [[spoiler:This seemingly ends after the Team Race, where he befriends the three mobs and proves his strength to the rest of the students]].
* ArchEnemy: {{Subverted|Trope}}! Despite Herobrine possessing him and trying to murder his friends in ''Animation vs. Minecraft'', when they meet again several years later, [[spoiler:Red doesn't seem to even care (despite seemingly recognizing and being unnerved by Herobrine), while Herobrine himself [[UnknownRival completely forgot]]. Several episodes later, the two team up to fight King Orange, Red ''lets'' Herobrine possess him for a second time, and they part ways with no hard feelings, the "Rainstorm" short proving he even attends the Monster School from time to time]].
* TheBeastmaster: His niche among his friends is spawning mobs like his pet pigs.
* ButtMonkey: Tends to be the butt of the joke in the main episodes, while Green is one for the ''An Actual Short'' miniseries. This is {{Exaggerated|Trope}} in "Monster School" to the point of not being funny. All of the monsters grief Red's attempts to perform all of the assignments, from Spider tripping Red trying to ambush a Steve clone, to basically being used as a stepping stool for the race by his "teammates". He even considered leaving his team for dead because they were bullying him into the ground.
* BerserkButton: Do not, we repeat, ''do not'' mess with his animals. Unless you ''want'' to experience his fighting skills firsthand.
* DemonicPossession: Gets one courtesy of [[UrbanLegendOfZelda Herobrine]]. The team has to delete the Minecraft Game Icon itself to stop him. [[spoiler:Gets possessed by Herobrine ''again'' in the climax of "The King", but at this point Herobrine is [[EnemyMine a lot less demonic]].]]
* FriendToAllLivingThings: He's the animal lover of the bunch, summoning a cat during "The Building Contest", bonding with a pig during "Potions" (and being heartbroken when it dies, despite it trying to kill him), building a statue of his pet chicken with Blue in "Note Blocks", and even befriending ''[[DidWeJustHaveTeaWithCthulhu three hostile mobs]]'' in ''Monster School''.
* TheGadfly: "The Rediscovery", the first mini-episode, focuses on the team finding the ''Minecraft'' Game Icon again after it was tossed in the trash during ''vs. Minecraft''. Everyone's excited, passing out blocks and items, when Yellow pauses just before giving it to Red. The scene cuts to the team in full diamond armour, gear and weapons ready for a massive battle, and the Second Coming tentatively giving the block to Red before dashing to safety, not wanting Herobrine to strike again. [[OhCrap Red starts twitching erratically]], [[HereWeGoAgain the ominous music builds]]... and he summons a few rabbits. (He gets a well-earned [[DopeSlap Dope Slap]] from Blue with a diamond helmet for that, which promptly knocks him out since, you know, it's ''diamond'').
* InstantKnots: In "Monster School", he uses his [[ImprovisedWeapon yellow headband]] to snatch away the enemies' weapons.
* KiddieKid: While the entire Stick Gang is around the ages of 10-13, Red ticks all the boxes of the typical characterization of the youngest member of a group of heroes: He's impulsive, short-sighted, hot-blooded, more emotional, too curious for his own good (as seen in "Lucky Block Staff" where the Stick Gang didn't want to test out the titular block on Yellow's staff, remembering what happened the last time they misused the block, but Red took the staff to test it out himself, which lead to disastrous results), and inexperienced in various fields compared to the rest of his friends. In "Power Outage", he can be seen jumping on the couch like a five-year-old. Also whenever he's in danger, the rest of the Stick Gang [[TheHeart notably work extra hard to get him out of trouble]] compared to when any of the other members are in danger.
* TheLeader: Of the [[{{Irony}} Yellow]] Team from "Monster School".
* LeeroyJenkins: Tends to be the most impulsive out of the gang, which carries over to combat. When a fight breaks out, expect this guy to make the first move.
* MartialArtsHeadband: Gains a yellow one in "Monster School", as provided by Herobrine to denote who his teammates are in the final exam. He then ditches it while taking the opportunity to escape, but after seeing his appointed teammates take a beating, he puts it back on and goes to help them. After that, Red wears it to symbolize his bond with his new friends. He even utilizes it in combat at a couple points, such as whipping and grabbing King's staff with it. [[spoiler:At the end of "The King", he bequeaths it to the Warden.]]
* MinionMaster: Crossed with TheBeastmaster. In "[=PvP=]", he summons both one large Iron Golem and an endless stream of snowball-tossing Snow Golems.
* NiceGuy: He loves animals and he's a good friend--notably, he's the first person to wave to the Second Coming when the team's revived in ''IV''. He also waves back at the armor stand waiving at him in "Command Blocks", [[UnusuallyUninterestingSight interacting with it like it was just another stick figure]].
* RedIsHeroic: He's red in color and is heroic member of the main cast.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: During his rampage in ''vs. Minecraft'', the Second Coming flashes back to Red playing with the emojis to make them feel better during ''IV''. That said, he ''was'' NotHimself in that scene due to Herobrine.

* EleventhHourSuperpower: [[spoiler:In ''The Showdown''. Oh, and he can use his powers on technology to revive his deleted friends]].
* ArtAttacker: The Second Coming is a very resourceful stick figure able to use just a pencil to summon various weapons and allies against such as the likes of Alan Becker, [=ViraBot=], and the Mercenaries.
* ArtifactName: His name, "The Second Coming", was originally meant to indicate that he was some kind of reincarnation of the Chosen One. There's even a moment in ''Animator vs Animation IV'' where he glitches into the Chosen One's appearance for a split second. However, in the ''[=AvA=] Shorts'', we learn that the Chosen One was alive all along and he and the Second Coming doesn't seem to know each other nor do they seem to be related in any way, meaning that the name of the Second Coming has lost its meaning, but he's still called like this despite the contradiction with the fact that The Chosen One was never gone to begin with.
* AscendedFanboy: Very quickly goes from being awestruck by Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow's fighting, then to being close friends, then to being the strongest of the group and TheLeader, then his four friends are the fans and watch his adventures in Pokémon.
* BadassBoast: "You ended my friends. Now I will end you."
* BadassNormal: He's much like victim rather than The Chosen One. He doesn't ([[EleventhHourSuperPower usually]]) have any special powers, only fighting Alan by physical punches, kicks, and whatever [[ImprovisedWeapon jury rigged weapons and tools]] he can create (like a laser pistol) or use (using the pencil tool to create drawings to wreck the animation interface).
* TheBeastmaster: Shows shades of this in ''Wanted'', as he draws several animals to aid him in battle.
* BreakoutCharacter: He went from another [[VictimOfTheWeek stick figure of the week]] to TheHero of the entire series.
* TheCameo: He makes a cameo as a structure in [=YouTube's=] 1 trillion view milestone for Minecraft content due to the popularity of Alan Becker's Animation vs. Minecraft video.
* CharacterDevelopment: After the Stick Gang's incident with the different worlds explored through the Nether Portals in Season 1, the Second Coming wanted nothing more than to avoid leaving Alan's PC at any cost and was heavily disappointed when Blue's quest for nether wart forced him and the others to leave home once again to find him.
He also fits the role of hero much more cleanly than The Chosen One, being a FriendToAllLivingThings with a [[spoiler:[[SuperpoweredEvilSide Superpowered]] ''[[PlayingWith Good]]'' [[SuperpoweredEvilSide Side]]]], an ally to [[BigGood Alan]], and TheLeader of his group of friends; and he’s been on multiple adventures to save his friends and [[{{Cyberspace}} the internet]], even [[spoiler:singlehandedly defeating The Dark Lord]].
* EnsembleCast: Alongside the Fighting Stick Figures, The Second Coming is one of the series' five main protagonists.

are [[ColorCodedForYourConvenience green]] digitally drawn or ASCII art forms.
* TheArtifact: Since Alan is no longer antagonistic to his stick figures (which was a key element of what started the series), he has a much a smaller role but still remains as a supporting character to the main cast, [[ArtifactTitle making the franchise's title irrelevant]] (though he ''does'' battle [[spoiler:the Dark Lord]] in ''[=AvA=] V''
and actually strong enough has a brief playfight with the Stick Gang in ''[=AvA=] VI'', proving it's not completel null).
* AuthorAvatar: The fictionalized version of series creator Alan Becker. The in-universe Animator outright has the same name as his real-life self, and Noogai ''is'' the real life Alan's username on Newgrounds.
* BigBad: Of the first four entries, which showcase his cruel treatment of stick figures.
* ButtMonkey: He tends
to finish be the ultimate victim throughout the series; everyone else shrugs off their injuries, but the things that happen to him tend to be less inconsequential. In the videos to promote [=TeamTrees and TeamSeas=], the stick figures make a bank-breakingly large donation in his name ($5100 dollars and ''$18,547,800'' dollars, respectively). Finally, several ''Actual Shorts'' have him suffer due to the Stick Gang's incompetence, whether it is him losing his family photos or being interrupted while working.
* CapsLock: He'll sometimes type in all uppercase letters, typically used as a way to convey being in distress, [[FreudianSlip correcting himself]], or just using emoticons.
* ChallengeSeeker: He created the Chosen One simply because he was looking for a challenge.
* CommutingOnABus: After ''Animator vs. Animation IV'', he basically dissappeared from the series until ''[=AvA=] V'' and ''VI'', where he is overshadowed by the stick figures. Besides this, he appears only as quick cameos in ''vs. League of Legends'' and ''vs. Pokemon'', and is a semi-recurring character in the ''An Actual Short'' series.
* EvilGod: He's not a god in his own world, but in his own computer, he's essentially like one to the stick figures he's created and the programs, as he is able to end many of the sentient programs using task manager. He becomes the GodOfGood upon redeeming.
* TheFaceless: In-universe, we only ever see his hands--drawing, typing, picking up keys and laundry or just the back of his head, but not his face. Before the events of IV, he was only represented by his cursor never showing his real life appearance. We do get a glimpse of his face in the ''Actual Short'' "New Wallpaper", [[DownplayedTrope but it's out of focus]]. Averted in the short "Feel Better" where it's the first ever episode we see the Animator's face in-universe. (Out of universe, Alan talked directly to the camera in several outros, though even that eventually stopped.)
* FatalFlaw: His LackOfEmpathy [[WhatMeasureIsANonHuman towards stick figures]], which continues biting him in the ass years after he moves past this. The reason the Chosen One managed to convince
the Dark Lord once to turn against him is because of his apathy to the fact his creation is about to get killed. Also, in ''IV'', he mercilessly ends the Second Coming's friends and tries to end him as well despite the fact they weren't doing any real damage to the computer (through this might be justified as he feared that they will destroy his computer as well when they go on a rampage. Then again, it's a SelfFulfillingProphecy, as if he didn't end his friends, the Second Coming wouldn't try to destroy his computer). The Second Coming even has to spell out that the reason he's upset is because the Animator deleted his friends. [[spoiler:All of ''Animator vs. Animation VI'' is happening because of how he mistreated victim, his original creation]].
* GodOfGood: He becomes this when he resurrects the Second Coming's friends at the end of of ''Animator vs. Animation IV''.
* HeelFaceTurn: While he creates stick figures just to fight

In "Lush Caves", however, he realizes that if he never left Alan's PC, he would've never discovered the amazing worlds that existed outside and became more willing to explore.
* TheChosenOne: Alan's orange stick figure is named [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast "The Second Coming"]], but unlike The Chosen One, we don’t know where the name came from - Alan never even turned him into a named symbol. He also fits the role

That is, until, he starts to have second thought about his actions and makes a HeelFaceTurn.

[[folder:Green]]
!![=StickFigureGreen=]
[[quoteright:1000:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/green_render_0.png]]
A green stick figure from a short fighting animation the animator watched, who quickly becomes the Second Coming's friend. He's very good at building and music.
----
* TheAce: His defining character trait as of ''vs. Minecraft''. Not only is Green a skilled artist and musician, but he's also one of the best fighters of the gang and his Redstone knowledge is on par with Yellow's. Hell, he once even made a better robot than Yellow's, causing the latter stick figure to collapse in shame. That said, there are just a few fields that he's less skilled at than his peers, which would make him closer to a JackOfAllTrades.
* BestFriend: He’s probably the closest friend to Second Coming. In ''Animator vs. Animation IV'', he is the first to greet and welcome Second Coming then runs to hug him before he disappeared as the last stick figure, and he gives him a friendly hug in the epilogue before they have a sparing match. In ''vs. Minecraft'', in addition to being the second stick figure to interact with the Minecraft block, he also personally helps to pull Second Coming away from being killed despite his own injuries and near defeat at the hands of a possessed Red. And as soon as they do get back together, he’s the first to hug Second Coming. Needless to say, while the group as a whole is close, Green is extremely close to Second Coming.
* ButtMonkey: Despite being TheAce, he's this in the ''An Actual Short'' series. He keeps getting beat up by the titular ''Bob'', is pecked by a paper crane in ''Enchanted Origami'', crashes into a tree in ''Carrot on a Stick'', gets slammed by Blue's cauldron in ''Bottle Flip'', gets verbally assaulted by Second Coming in ''Music Lesson'', shot by Yellow in ''Gunslinger'', is roasted alive in ''Pork'' and gets eaten by the chest ''It's Alive!''.
* ConstructionIsAwesome: This is Green's expertise in Minecraft as he is one the best architects out of all his friends winning in the building competitions multiple times.
* DeathIsCheap: [[spoiler:Dies in ''[=PvP=]'', only to respawn sans inventory in the original "Stick Figures Fight" room, per ''Minecraft'' rules.]]
* {{Deuteragonist}}: Of ''vs. [=YouTube=]''. He's the one who defeats [=YouTube=], with the Second Coming's help, by uploading himself as a video so that the website can't punch him and pushing it apart from the inside.
* TheDogBitesBack: After being treated as Bob's punching bag for who knows how long, he throws the animation in a pit and closes it.
* HiddenDepths: A master of music surprisingly. He takes to noteblocks like a fish to water. [[spoiler:After arriving in ''Note Block Universe'', he eventually learns to "speak" in Note Block sounds.]]
* InstantExpert: The Second Coming gives him the Minecraft block and he manages to build ''a working windmill'' in ''vs. Minecraft'' in less than a minute while he's off-screen. He's also the one who first figures out the zombie spawner, destroying it with his pickaxe, and builds an entire jamming session after watching the note blocks for a few seconds in ''Note Blocks''.
* TheLancer: To the Second Coming, being both his BestFriend and the first (and sometimes only) person to back him up, such as in ''vs. [=YouTube=]''.
* LeadSingerPlaysLeadGuitar: Being the expert musician, he has managed to attain the ability to sing superbly from his adventures in the Note Block Universe as well as being the one to lead his friends as a music band and his amazing skills with a guitar.
* NeckLift: Does this to Bob before throwing him down a pit.
* RodAndReelRepurposed: While all five sticks are experienced with using the fishing rod for [[GrapplingHookPistol maneuvering]] and [[YouWillNotEvadeMe combat]], Green is notable for using it the most by a large margin to the point of it being his [[WeaponSpecialization weapon of choice]].
* RunningGag: Almost every time he wins a build contest, [[SoreLoser someone tries to throw TNT at it]]. He's gotten used to it by Season 2.
* SuddenlyVoiced: Green learns to "speak" in Note Block sounds after being pressured by some Villagers in ''Note Block Universe''. Downplayed in that it's not really speech but still a form of audible communication.
* ThrowingYourSwordAlwaysWorks: In ''vs. Minecraft''.
* TookALevelInBadass: When he first debuted in Animator vs. Animation IV, he was the one whose ass got kicked the most. In later videos, he's shown to be the most skilled out of the stick figures, even surprassing Yellow's engineer skills once.

A blue stick figure from a short fighting animation the animator watched, who quickly becomes the Second Coming's friend. He enjoys gardening, alchemy and cooking.
----
* ADayInTheLimelight: He gets the spotlight in the promotional plugs ''Blue's New Superpower'' and ''Animation vs. Trash'' where he has the ability to cast from money.
* AlchemyIsMagic:
** ''Potions'' has him discover and subsequently experiment with Minecraft's brewing mechanics.
** In ''[=PvP=]'', he's shown brewing potions of invisibility to give himself and Red an edge in the fight.
** Becomes a true master by ''The Witch'', making incredibly complex transformation potions just as well as the titular witch.
* ArcherArchetype: He often wields a bow in the ''Minecraft'' episodes. Also, in ''vs. League of Legends'', he becomes the Rogue of the team, bow and all.
* BizarreTasteInFood: Blue ''[[ICantBelieveItsNotHeroin really]]'' likes eating nether wart, which isn't normally edible in Minecraft.
* BlueIsHeroic: He's blue in color and is heroic member of the main cast.
* CaringGardener: His first impulse with the Minecraft block is to grow a garden, and he's introduced lovingly tending his garden in ''Potions''.
* CharacterDevelopment: If ''The Chef'' is any indication, while he still enjoys nether wart, he's not as crazy about it as he was before.
* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: Blue is basically a nether wart addict.
** The second he gets a taste in ''Potions'', he falls in love with it.
** In ''Command Blocks'', he is shown eating them and offers some to Green, who refuses.
** In ''Redstone Academy'', his build is related to them.
** In ''Lucky Blocks'', once Yellow has possession of the orb that spawns what can come out of a Lucky Block, he gives Blue a wand that instantly spawns full-grown nether wart, to Blue's delight.
** Taken to its logical extreme in Season 3, as his addiction kickstarts the entire plot.
*** In ''The Piglin War'', he keeps eating nether wart while preparing delicious food that he won't even eat, Blue panics when realising he's out of nether wart, and goes to the Nether just to get it (and a flashback shows he did it before). He is visibly saddened when there's no nether wart in the Nether and practically gives up until the Second Coming (or rather, a witch) drops one on the floor, and he instantly goes after it. After realising he's out of them, instead of just using Creative Block to drop them like anyone would do, he goes after the Nether without even thinking out of sheer panic.
*** In ''The Witch'', the first thing he does after entering the portal is wondering where is nether wart. The Witch turns him into a piston as part of an automatic nether wart farm, relying on him to automatically lunge after it and break it. His body language indicates that he doesn't even realize the ForcedTransformation at first, and not being able to eat the nether wart growing in front of him is basically his own personal hell. To make matters worse, his friends seem happy for him when they see that "Blue" did manage to find some nether wart, even after his search dragged them through the Nether looking for him, making them come across as enablers.
*** In ''The Ultimate Weapon'', Blue is initially hesitant to join King when offered, due to remembering how that went with Purple. He changes his mind when he sees his offered throne is surrounded by nether wart; emphasized by the slow manner with which he puts on the crown and walks toward the throne while reaching out towards it, almost like he's hypnotized, only snapping out of it when Green breaks in to explain King's true intentions.
** In ''[[https://youtu.be/dOyE-nEUco4 Carrot on a Stick]]'', Red, Green, and the Second Coming are racing on the backs of a Pig, Cow, and Dog, respectively; luring them with their favorite food on a fishing rod (Carrot, Wheat, and a Bone). Yellow ends up zooming past them while riding on Blue's back and luring him with Nether Wart.
** In ''[[https://youtu.be/g5FCa7myUwY Color Confusion]]'', Blue is shown drawing Nether Wart as Yellow sneaks up on him.
** In ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baUkeYKZa9Y Fireworks]]'', Blue spends most of the short munching on Nether Wart. Eventually Green gets fed up and smacks the Nether Wart out of Blue's hands, but Blue just picks it back up and eats it in one bite out of defiance.
** In ''The Chef'', when everyone is making pizza, Blue tops his with Nether Wart.
* ICantBelieveItsNotHeroin: While not exactly high after it, his "addiction" to nether wart rather seems like a heroin addiction.
* ImprobableAimingSkills: In the climax of ''vs. Minecraft'', [[spoiler:a well-timed arrow tossed at the Minecraft block saves it from getting grabbed by Red.]]
* LongRangeFighter: In contrast with the rest of the team, he prefers bows and crossbows in combat. Fittingly, The Second Coming equips Blue with a pair of pistols in "Animator Vs Animation IV".
* NonActionGuy: Downplayed as all members of the Fighting Stick Figures are competent fighters, but Blue is usually less prone to resorting to direct combat compared to his friends.
* ObsessedWithFood: His second character trait after CaringGardener: he's typically associated with food. He prepares a cake in ''The Nether'', the videos for [=#TeamTrees and #TeamSeas=] are about him running food stands, and in ''The Piglin War'' his first reaction to seeing the new Nether is trying to eat the unfamilliar flora. By the time ''The Chef'' happened, he's essentially become the TeamChef.
* TeamChef: Effectively became this for the stick figures, having the most knowledge in raising crops and cooking them, and was the one that wrote the cookbook in ''The Chef''.
* SoreLoser: He does ''not'' [[StuffBlowingUp graciously concede]] to Green winning the building contest.
* PapaWolf: To the piglin child.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: [[AlienKudzu Nether Wart]], of all things. He discovers its taste in ''Potions'' and is seen snacking on it like potato chips in ''Command Blocks''.

[[quoteright:1000:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/stickfigureyellow_3.png]]
A yellow stick figure from a short fighting animation the animator watched, who quickly becomes the Second Coming's friend. He's an expert at engineering and coding.
----
* AesopAmnesia: Demonstrates this in the Actual Short ''It's Alive!'', where he apparently forgets the events of ''Command Blocks'' and decides it'd be a great idea to use a Potion of Awakening on such a block. The only reason that this doesn't end in disaster is because his friends remember those events all too well and are quick to stop him.
* BadassTeacher: A skilled fighter that also happens to be the teacher of his Redstone Academy.
* ADayInTheLimelight: Gets the most focus out of all the stick figures, including Second Coming, in ''vs. Arcade Games''. He creates a functioning arcade cabinet, is skilled in arcade gaming, defeated a rogue [[WellIntentionedExtremist Q*bert]] bringing back his friends who got swallowed by Q*bert.
Minecraft'' to a huge underground roller coaster network, he's the one who sets up the drumbeats with redstone torches in ''Note Blocks'', and figures out the command blocks in no time at all in ''Command Blocks''.
* HollywoodHacking: In ''The Showdown'', he manages to hack and access the Dark Lord's computer in his console in order to summon the animator to aid the Chosen One against the Dark Lord.
* MagicStaff: In ''The Raid'', the Villagers make Yellow a staff not unlike [[spoiler:King's]] in order for him to efficiently wield the Command Block that he swiped. It's not quite enough to stop [[spoiler:King, who at that point had ''two'' Master Blocks]]. [[spoiler:It gets destroyed in ''The King'', but at the end of the episode the titular King entrusts his own staff and the Command Block to Yellow]]. From that point on, it becomes Yellow's [[WeaponSpecialization signature weapon]], specifically with the Command Block installed.
* TheSmartGuy: Is the one to figure out how to [[spoiler:use the Dark Lord's computer to call for help from the Animator against the Dark Lord.]] He also takes to redstone builds like a duck to water in Minecraft.
* SmartPeopleWearGlasses: Is characterized like this in the ''Faces'' Actual Short, due to his extensive smarts in redstone.
* SoreLoser: Shares this trait with Blue. On multiple occasions, he has griefed or helped someone grief Green's creations whenever Green wins a building contest.
* TooCleverByHalf: One of his trademarks has him ideate and realise some of his greatest ideas, only to face hilarious fails when he progresses through them:
** In ''The Roller Coaster'', he builds a vast, intricate, layered, amazing roller coaster underground... but fails to account for Minecraft physics, causing his friends to fall off a cliff. Oops.
** In ''Command Blocks'', he spawns lightning to make a dramatic display for Red, smiting zombies from on high. [[spoiler:The lightning hits the command blocks, causing a massive [[InterfaceScrew Interface Screw]] that engulfs the computer itself--only the Second Coming's quick thinking saves the day.]]
** In ''Lucky Blocks'', he decides to take apart a Lucky Block to see how it works, and eventually returns with a mysterious orb that spawns all the mobs and items spawned by a lucky block. [[spoiler:The orb ends up possessing him and eventually the rest of his friends. They end up getting saved by, of all things, a flying, armed, and armored pig.]]

A red stick figure from a short fighting animation the animator watched, who quickly becomes the Second Coming's friend. He's the animal lover of the group.
----
* TheBeastmaster: His niche among his friends is spawning mobs like his pet pigs.
* ButtMonkey: He's this so much in "Monster School", it's not even remotely funny. All of the monsters grief Red's attempts to perform all of the assignments from the Spider tripping Red trying to ambush a Steve clone, to basically being used as a stepping stool for the race by his "teammates". He even considered leaving his team for dead because they were bullying him into the ground.
* BerserkButton: Do not, we repeat, ''do not'' mess with his animals. Unless you ''want'' to experience his fighting skills firsthand.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: He gets possessed by the spirit of [[MythologyGag Herobrine]] in ''vs. Minecraft'', leading him to try and stomp his friends into a paste.
* DemonicPossession: Gets one courtesy of [[UrbanLegendOfZelda Herobrine]]. The team has to delete the Minecraft icon itself to stop him.
** [[spoiler:Gets possessed by Herobrine ''again'' in the climax of ''The King'', but at this point Herobrine is [[EnemyMine a lot less demonic]].]]
* FriendToAllLivingThings: He's the animal lover of the bunch, summoning a cat during ''The Building Contest'', bonding with a pig during ''Potions'', and even befriending some ''Minecraft'' mobs in ''Monster School''. [[spoiler:When the pig dies, he's visibly heartbroken.]] ''Note Blocks'' opens with Blue building him a statue of his pet chicken (who wanders off after they discover the note blocks and doesn't come back).
* TheGadfly: ''The Rediscovery'', the first mini-episode, focuses on the team finding the Minecraft block again after it was tossed in the trash during ''vs. Minecraft''. Everyone's excited, passing out blocks and items, when Yellow pauses just before giving it to Red. The scene cuts to the team in full diamond armour, gear and weapons ready for a massive battle, and the Second Coming tentatively giving the block to Red before dashing to safety. [[OhCrap Red starts twitching erratically]], [[HereWeGoAgain the ominous music builds]]...and Red summons a few rabbits.
* KiddieKid: While Alan reveals that the Stick Gang are revealed to be around the ages of 10-13, Red ticks all the boxes of the typical characterization of the youngest member of a group of heroes: He's impulsive, short-sighted, hot-blooded, more emotional, too curious for his own good (as seen in "Lucky Block Staff" where the Stick Gang didn't want to test out the titular block on Yellow's staff, remembering what happened the last time they misused the block, Red took the staff to test it out himself, which lead to disastrous results), and inexperienced in various fields compared to the rest of his friends. In "An Actual Short - Power Outage", he can be seen jumping on the couch like a five-year-old. Also whenever he's in danger, the rest of the Stick Gang [[TheHeart notably work extra hard to get him out of trouble]] compared to when any of the other members are in danger.
* TheLeader: Of the "yellow team" from "Monster School".
* LeeroyJenkins: Tends to be the most impulsive out of the gang, which carries over to combat. When a fight breaks out, expect this guy to make the first move.
* MartialArtsHeadband: Gains a yellow one in ''Monster School'', as provided by his teacher Herobrine to denote who his teammates are in the final exam. [[spoiler:At the end of ''The King'', he bequeaths it to the Warden.]]
* MinionMaster: Crossed with [[TheBeastmaster The Beastmaster]], above. In ''[=PvP=]'' he summons both one large iron golem and an endless stream of snowball-tossing snowmen.
* NiceGuy: He loves animals and he's a good friend--notably, he's the first person to wave to the Second Coming when the team's revived in IV. He also waves back at the armor stand waiving at him in ''Command Blocks'', interacting like it like it was just another stick figure.
* RedIsHeroic: He's red in color and is heroic member of the main cast.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: During his rampage in ''vs. Minecraft'', the Second Coming flashes back to Red playing with the emojis to make them feel better during IV. [[spoiler:Though it would be revealed that he was just possessed by Herobrine.]]

* FighterMageThief: In ''vs. Minecraft'':
** Red is a Fighter, using a sword and shield in combat and typically being the first to charge headfirst into fights.
** Yellow is a Mage; his command block staff allows him an endless array of commands to "cast", and he usually serves as support.
** Blue is a Thief, favoring ranged weapons such as bows.
** Green is a Fighter with elements of the Thief archetype, using a sword in tandem with a fishing rod to be a fast and agile attacker.
** The Second Coming combines all three archetypes, using a variety of techniques and skills in combat.
