The creator of the stick figures, the titular animator, and the owner of the computers where the series takes place representing as a cursor. Originally starting out as nothing more than a heartless man seeking to torture his creations for fun, he later redeems himself and becomes friends with his stick figures and TSC personally.

* AchillesHeel: His cursor, it's his most important tool for interacting with objects on the computer. Destroy that and Alan's options become limited to keyboard shortcuts. Both [[EnergyWeapon The Second Coming]] & [[TouchOfDeath ViraBot]] exploit this.
* AllLowercaseLetters: His username, noogai3, is in lowercase letters and he'll also sometimes type like that when talking to other people.
* ArchEnemy: The Chosen One's first ever arch-enemy. The Animator has enslaved the Chosen One for four years, has made a stick figure with the sole purpose of killing him, and the Chosen One later destroyed his first computer. [[spoiler:They eventually forgive each other after the Chosen One helped him and his friends from [=ViraBot=]]].
* ArcVillain: Started out as a villain from his first ever appearance to ''Animator vs. Animation IV'' where becomes the BigGood in the end.
* ArtAttacker: He is "the animator" after all. He uses his mouse and his keyboard to be able to draw up various kinds of functioning weapons to fight against his stick figures in his computer whether they are digitally drawn or ASCII art forms.
* TheArtifact: Since Alan is no longer antagonistic to his stick figures (which was a key element of what started the series), he has a much a smaller role but still remains as a supporting character to the main cast [[ArtifactTitle making the franchise's title irrelevant]].
* AuthorAvatar: He is both the creator of the videos and a character within the series and is indeed named Alan Becker in real life and as noogai as a user in Newgrounds.
* BigBadDuumvirate: With the Dark Lord in ''Animator vs. Animation III'' until Alan gets betrayed by him for his carelessness.
* ButtMonkey: He tends to be the ultimate victim throughout the series; everyone else shrugs off their injuries, but the things that happen to him tend to be less inconsequential. ''Animator vs. Animation III'' ends with his computer [[UsefulNotes/BlueScreenOfDeath crashing]]. ''IV'' reveals that the computer was unusable because of a fried motherboard after the Chosen One and Dark Lord thrashed it, and has him scrambling to stop burned bridges when Second Coming vandalizes his Facebook page. Malware gets installed into his computer in ''V'', and when the other stick figures go on their adventure in ''VI'', the Animator is left blankly staring at the burning wreck that the Chosen One left his animation software in. Finally, in the videos to promote [=TeamTrees and TeamSeas=], the stick figures make a bank-breakingly large donation in his name ($5100 dollars and ''$18,547,800'' dollars, respectively).
* CapsLock: He'll sometimes type in all uppercase letters, typically used as a way to convey being in distress, [[FreudianSlip correcting himself]], or just using emoticons.
* ChallengeSeeker: He created [[TheHeavy the Chosen One]] simply because he was looking for a challenge.
* CommutingOnABus: After ''Animator vs. Animation IV'', he basically dissappeared from the series until the ''[=AvA=] Shorts'', where he is overshadowed by the stick figures. Besides this, he appears only as quick cameos in ''vs. League of Legends'' and ''vs. Pokemon''.
* EvilGod: He's not a god in his own world, but in his own computer, he's essentially like one to the stick figures he's created and the programs, as he is able to end many of the sentient programs using task manager. He, initially, starts out like this until he befriends The Second Coming eventually becoming the GodOfGood.
* TheFaceless: In-universe, we only ever see his hands--drawing, typing, picking up keys and laundry or just the back of his head, but not his face. Before the events of IV, he was only represented by his cursor never showing his real life appearance. We do get a glimpse of his face in the Actual Short "New Wallpaper", [[DownplayedTrope but it's out of focus]]. Averted in the short "Feel Better" where it's the first ever episode we see the animator's face in-universe. (Out of universe, Alan talks directly to the camera on each outro.)
* FatalFlaw: At first, his LackOfEmpathy [[WhatMeasureIsANonHuman towards stick figures]]. The reason the Chosen One managed to convince the Dark Lord to turn against him is because of his apathy to the fact his creation is about to get killed. Also, in IV, he mercilessly ends the Second Coming's friends and tries to end him as well despite the fact they weren't doing any real damage to the computer (through this might be justified as he feared that they will destroy his computer as well when they go on a rampage. Then again, it's a SelfFulfillingProphecy, as if he didn't end his friends, the Second Coming wouldn't try to destroy his computer). The Second Coming even has to spell out that the reason he's upset is because the Animator deleted his friends.
* GodOfGood: He becomes this eventually when he resurrects The Second Coming's friends after the events of Animator vs. Animation IV.
* HeelFaceTurn: While he creates stick figures just to fight for fun in the first videos, by IV, he's made peace with his newest stick figure adversary.
* NoNonsenseNemesis: Not in I-III, where he sadistically tortures the stick figure because he doesn't consider it a serious threat, but in IV, the very second he recovers from the MassOhCrap of seeing the stick figure (as well as the others on his computer) rummaging about, he force boots [[NoKillLikeOverkill Task Manager]]. Also, when the Second Coming tries to fight him, he uses the most direct means of disposal possible (select all + delete) when in the animation program.
* OhCrap: After ending the tasks of the Fighting Stick Figures, he discovers that the orange one he drew is represented by the file [=TheSecondComing.exe=], "The Chosen One's Return". We don't see his face, but his cursor slows noticeably before he tries to end the task, indicating that [[ThisIsGonnaSuck he already knows it's not going to be that easy]].
* OutOfFocus: After ''Animator Vs Animation IV'', he has a much smaller role with most of the spotlight given to The Second Coming and The Fighting Stick Figures.
* RapidFireTyping: Besides [[TechnoWizard Yellow]], Alan is very skilled and quick with typing with a keyboard as showcased in IV when he designed a stronger customized cursor without ever using his mouse after The Second Coming destroys his cursor. In III, he was able to create an ASCII version of a pistol in just a short timeframe of approximately 10 seconds.
* RageBreakingPoint: After everything the Chosen One did, up to and including destroying his computer, when the Second Coming "likes" a sad Facebook post to ruin his reputation, Alan is furious enough to slam his fist on the table and go all out on trying to destroy the Second Coming.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Has evolved into this by the end of IV. He gives The Second Coming and his friends free rein to use his computer, letting them play Minecraft and surf the web, in exchange for the Second Coming's advice on animation.
* SuddenlyVoiced: He starts talking and makes an appearance in IV as his "appearances" before were just his cursor and typing up words.
* SummonBiggerFish: [[spoiler:He is the bigger fish during ''The Showdown'', with Yellow writing a program from The Dark Lord's PC to let him contribute to the fight - represented from the stick figures' perspective as a giant cursor manifesting upon the battlefield.]]
* TerribleArtist: When he started animating, the best he could animate were stick figures with his fourth stick figure, the Second Coming, being a better artist than him. This is averted when the Second Coming teaches him how to draw and animate.
* UnexplainedRecovery: During the first ''Animator vs. Animation'' short, [=ViraBot=] destroys his cursor and then shreds the Start menu to prevent him from summoning a new one. When the scene cuts back to him in the fourth short, he's somehow managed to re-summon his cursor and is dragging the wreckage into the Recycle Bin, indicating that he didn't reboot his computer.
* UnsportsmanlikeGloating: Implicitly and wordlessly so in ''Animator vs. Animation VI'': after knocking over all the stick figures in a single blow, he flauntingly floats his cursor in a figure eight above them.
* TheWorfEffect: With his near-total external control of his computer, he is one of the most powerful allies the Second Coming and the fighting stick figures have in their setting. Naturally, whenever the stick figures face major threats, he either [[DeusExitMachina happens to be absent]] or is neutralized quickly.
* YouCannotGraspTheTrueForm: Inverted. Although he appears in the computer as a simple cursor, programs can see him through the monitor.

The second creation of the animator. He was marked as "The Chosen One" so that the animator could have a greater challenge to fight. After his defeat, he ends up enslaved until he manages to destroy and escape from Alan's computer and into the internet when he teams up with the Dark Lord.

* AchillesHeel: He can take on single opponents no problem, but the few times he's been overpowered were when he was made to fight [[ZergRush several enemies at once]].
* ApeShallNeverKillApe: Implied, given how his HeelRealization starts when [[spoiler:seeing the Dark Lord killing fellow stick figures]] and that his ImagineSpot, which causes him to try and stop the Dark Lord, has him [[spoiler:killing stick figures]]. Even during ''III'', the Chosen One spares the Dark Lord so they could defeat the Animator, despite him trying to kill him throughout the entire episode. [[spoiler:This is completely subverted during "The Showdown": The Chosen One is perfectly willing to kill a fellow stick figure. That said, said stick figure is an AxCrazy bastard who tried to destroy entire computers without a second thought, so this is very much justified]].
* ArchEnemy: To two characters.
** The Animator. Even before being enslaved, the Chosen One started a rampage for absolutely zero reason mere seconds after his creation. Afterwards, the Animator made a stick figure with the sole purpose of killing the Chosen One. The Chosen One repays him by destroying his computer. They eventually team up to take down the bigger threat.
** [[spoiler:The Dark Lord was created for the sole purpose of killing the Chosen One, and after the two become friends, the Chosen One eventually distances himself from the Dark Lord due to his path of chaos and destruction. When they become enemies once again, the Chosen One goes absolutely NoNonsenseNemesis on him, fully determined to stop his once-friend's rampage, it being seen more than once that the Chosen One is absolutely ''pissed'']].
* BadassInDistress: [[spoiler:He ends up captured at the end of episode 1 of Animator vs. Animation VI-- "Wanted" ending up in a facility after he was pursued by a group of mercenaries of varying art styles and abilities who are all working for the stick figure who runs the organization (who resembles like him)]].
* BigDamnHeroes: When [=ViraBot=] was about to kill everyone, he appears right at the last second to fight against it; even when he has to help Alan and save his computer.
* BroughtDownToBadass: The Chosen One can still put up a fight even if his powers are disabled and he's fighting a superhuman opponent.
* BulletSeed: After eating text he gets the ability to spit letters.
* TheChosenOne: Invoked in his name but not played straight. He wasn't chosen by gods nor does he have any quests. His name seems to simply indicate his power level and the animator intentionally created an over-powered stick figure to fight for fun. It took years of real time to see him do something heroic, which is stopping a virus from infecting every computer in the world, starting with the animator's computer despite the animosity toward each other they used to have.
* ComboPlatterPowers: He's a FlyingBrick that can use FireIceLightning, and EyeBeams.
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Unlike victim who only became hostile against the animator for provoking and attempted to kill him, The Chosen One on the other hand, became destructive the moment he came to life and he ends up being enslaved instead of being deleted.
* {{Determinator}}: In "The Box", the Chosen One gives his all against [[spoiler:victim despite the latter having a HomeFieldAdvantage that can disable the Chosen One's powers and power himself up. Even when the Chosen One is too injured to fight back, he refuses to tell victim anything about the Animator. When a device is attached to the Chosen One's head to show his memories, he tries to stop it by banging his head on the ground.]]
* DeusExMachina: There was no foreshadowing he would return and save everyone from [=ViraBot=] especially since he destroyed the old computer he resided in. Subverted in "The Flashback", which showed not only how he survived the computer's destruction, but why he was chasing [=ViraBot=].
* EvenEvilHasStandards: [[spoiler: Has no issues wreaking havoc throughout the internet alongside the Dark Lord for a while, but as the Dark Lord begins harming other stick figures and the like, the Chosen One starts having second thoughts. When the Dark Lord creates [=ViraBot=], the Chosen One decides he's gone too far. Even when he sees that it was shot at Alan's computer and remembers how Alan treated him, the Chosen One still decides to chase after [=ViraBot=].]]
* ExtremeOmnivore: He's shown to swallow text and icons.
* EyeBeams: He can fire [[EnergyWeapon Frickin' Laser Beams]] from eyes.
* FireIceLightning: He mainly uses fire attacks, but he has shown the ability to summon down lightning, and has occasionally launched a freezing blast from his hands, even creating a giant iceberg to obscure the mercenaries view.
* TheHeavy: His rampage caused a chain of events leading to the Dark Lord being created, the Animator's first computer being destroyed, [[TheHero the Second Coming]] being created, him befriending the Fighting Stick Figures and causing the Animator to pull a HeelFaceTurn.
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler:In ''The Chosen One's Return'' it's finally revealed he no longer holds a grudge against Alan. Confirmed further in ''The Flashback'' where he chases after the virus after realizing it was shot at Alan's computer.]]
* AnIcePerson: He rarely uses his ice powers but has shown to use them such as being able to freeze Mozilla Firefox in II and at one point create a giant iceberg to block the mercenaries vantage point.
* IdenticalStranger: He has the exact same appearance as victim but they are separate characters with different powers and personalities. Alan did consider naming him victim as well before changing his mind, but he didn't change his appearance.
* ImprovisedWeaponUser: He can use the scroll bar as a staff, the MS Paint's paintbrush as swords and the arrows as spears.
* LateArrivalSpoiler: His survival would have certainly be a huge spoiler if not for the fact that one of the episodes is titled "The Chosen One's Return" and that all but ''one'' of the ''[=AvA=] Shorts'' thumbnails include him in them.
* MegatonPunch:
** His final attack after using all his powers on [=ViraBot=], the one that completely destroys him.
** Also does this on [[spoiler:The Dark Lord to stop him from launching his virus]]. It failed, but he did break the machine and launched [[spoiler:the Dark Lord quite a ways away.]]
* MundaneUtility: While under slavery by Alan, his powers are simply used to destroy pop-ups.
* NonIndicativeName: For name like "The Chosen One", you'd think he would be the one chosen to be granted with powers to protect the world and help the common people, right? Well you'd be wrong, because pretty much everything he does the moment he came to life, is the '''exact''' opposite of what would be expected, with him destroying everything and killing everyone in his path to the point he's teamed up with "The Dark Lord" and destroy their creator's computer and continue down their sinister path. That is, until, he starts to have second thought about his actions and makes a HeelFaceTurn.
* NoNonsenseNemesis: When he finally has [=ViraBot=] in a vulnerable position, he unleashes absolutely ''everything'' in his arsenal to take it out. Even more when he faces off against [[spoiler:the Dark Lord]] afterwards.
* NoSell: He can resist [=ViraBot=]'s TouchOfDeath unlike Alan's cursor.
* NotQuiteDead: [[spoiler:He escaped off-screen during the destruction of Alan's old PC by jumping into the internet itself]], showing how he returned to stop [=ViraBot=].
* NotQuiteFlight: He can levitate by shooting fire from his hands.
* NotSoInvincibleAfterAll: Upon his creation, he immediately proves to be a force to be reckoned with, fighting through most of the Animator's defenses and desktop icons with relative ease. The Animator's programmer friend even says that creating The Chosen One is a "suicide" move. That being said, the programmer was about to reveal a way to defeat The Chosen One before [[HisNameIs being cut off by AIM's death]], and The Chosen One is eventually restrained by Avast! Antivirus. Thus it's established from the beginning that The Chosen One is extremely powerful, but not ''uniquely'' or ''insurmountably'' powerful.
* PlayingWithFire: His most often used powers are fire-related ones. He can [[WreathedInFlames engulf himself in flame]] as a BattleAura, shoot {{Fireballs}} or streams of fire from his hands as an attack or to [[NotQuiteFlight propel himself through the air]], and [[BreathWeapon breathe fire]].
* PoseOfSupplication: Gives one to [[spoiler:the Second Coming]] at the end of ''The Showdown'', [[spoiler:out of respect for his ability to defeat the Dark Lord, whereas he could not.]]
* ShockAndAwe: Was able to summon a thundercloud complete with lightning in II. He also uses lightning to finish [=ViraBot=] off in ''The Chosen One's Return''.
* SuicidalCosmicTemperTantrum: Immediately after being created he sets about carving a path of destruction across his creator's software, working his way up to threatening the existence of the system itself, seemingly not caring that he himself is in the system and would go down with it. The second time it's {{Subverted|Trope}} as it's later revealed he had the idea to escape through the internet connection -- but the first time he gives no indication of stopping or escaping even as he's about to stomp on the shutdown.
* ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill: The way he finishes off [=ViraBot=]. He sucks him into tornado before blasting him with lightning, shooting him with massive laser beams and huge jets of fire before finishing it with a charged punch.
* WeUsedToBeFriends: He fell out with [[spoiler:the Dark Lord]] when he realized that [[spoiler:he is ''[[OmnicidalManiac absolutely demented]].]]'' When he discovers [[spoiler:him making the [=ViraBot=]]], he is quick to try and stop him.
* WhatYouAreInTheDark: [[spoiler:He failed to stop the Dark Lord from launching [=ViraBot=], and was about to go after it when he noticed the destination: ALANSPC]]. He could have let [=ViraBot=] destroy the computer, not only as revenge against the Animator who created him to be tormented and locked him up as a pop-up blocker, but as karma for [[spoiler:creating the Dark Lord]] in the first place, and Alan would be none the wiser. The Chosen One decided to go after it anyways.
* TheWorfEffect: In "The Showdown", he fights the Dark Lord evenly in prolonged combat, but is eventually overwhelmed by [[spoiler:the Dark Lord's [=ViraBot=] army, leaving the Second Coming as the final hope of defeating the Dark Lord]].
* WorfHadTheFlu: In "The Box", his losing fight and subsequent interrogation from [[spoiler:victim was only possible due to the fact that he was confined in the titular box, causing his powers to be seized and sometimes backfire against him. Not to mention, victim was also heavily buffed while The Chosen One was fresh off his fight with the Mercenaries, making the whole ordeal a massive disadvantage to him]].

An orange stick figure created by the animator. He rebelled against his creator and managed to avoid his deletion after the latter wiped his friends out, but made peace with him when the latter revived his friends, becoming TrueCompanions.

After seeing his friends killed and receiving a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown from the Dark Lord, he awakens to his latent superpowers similar to the Chosen One's, although his are [[ColorCodedForYourConvenience green]] and actually strong enough to finish off the Dark Lord once and for all.]]
* AlwaysABiggerFish: [[spoiler:He's this to both The Chosen One and The Dark Lord when his powers are awakened. Whereas it took The Chosen One an entire video to take down a single Virabot and The Dark Lord uses technology to get the upper hand, The Second Coming destroys ''the entire Virabot army'' in one fell swoop and annihilates The Dark Lord. Oh, and he can use his powers on technology to revive his deleted friends]].
* ArtAttacker: The Second Coming is a very resourceful stick figure able to use just a pencil to summon various weapons and allies against such as the likes of Alan Becker, [=ViraBot=], and the Mercenaries.
* ArtifactName: His name, "The Second Coming", was originally meant to indicate that he was some kind of reincarnation of the Chosen One. There's even a moment in ''Animator vs Animation IV'' where he glitches into the Chosen One's appearance for a split second. However, in the ''[=AvA=] Shorts'', we learn that the Chosen One was alive all along and he and the Second Coming doesn't seem to know each other nor do they seem to be related in any way, meaning that the name of the Second Coming has lost its meaning, but he's still called like this despite the contradiction with the fact that The Chosen One was never gone to begin with.
* AscendedFanboy: Very quickly goes from being awestruck by Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow's fighting, then to being close friends, then to being the strongest of the group and TheLeader, then his four friends are the fans and watch his adventures in Pokémon.
* BadassBoast: "You ended my friends. Now I will end you."
* BadassNormal: He's much like victim rather than The Chosen One. He doesn't ([[EleventhHourSuperPower usually]]) have any special powers, only fighting Alan by physical punches, kicks, and whatever [[ImprovisedWeapon jury rigged weapons and tools]] he can create (like a laser pistol) or use (using the pencil tool to create drawings to wreck the animation interface).
* TheBeastmaster: Shows shades of this in ''Wanted'', as he draws several animals to aid him in battle.
* BreakoutCharacter: He went from another [[VictimOfTheWeek stick figure of the week]] to TheHero of the entire series.
* TheCameo: He makes a cameo as a structure in [=YouTube's=] 1 trillion view milestone for Minecraft content due to the popularity of Alan Becker's Animation vs. Minecraft video.
* CharacterDevelopment: After the Stick Gang's incident with the different worlds explored through the Nether Portals in Season 1, the Second Coming wanted nothing more than to avoid leaving Alan's PC at any cost and was heavily disappointed when Blue's quest for nether wart forced him and the others to leave home once again to find him. In "Lush Caves", however, he realizes that if he never left Alan's PC, he would've never discovered the amazing worlds that existed outside and became more willing to explore.
* TheChosenOne: Alan's orange stick figure is named [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast "The Second Coming"]], but unlike The Chosen One, we don’t know where the name came from - Alan never even turned him into a named symbol. He also fits the role of hero much more cleanly than The Chosen One, being a FriendToAllLivingThings with a [[spoiler:[[SuperpoweredEvilSide Superpowered]] ''[[PlayingWith Good]]'' [[SuperpoweredEvilSide Side]]]], an ally to [[BigGood Alan]], and TheLeader of his group of friends; and he’s been on multiple adventures to save his friends and [[{{Cyberspace}} the internet]], even [[spoiler:singlehandedly defeating The Dark Lord]].
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Unlike his animated predecessors, The Second Coming became on good terms with Alan and is a permanent character in the series.

* AesopAmnesia: Demonstrates this in the Actual Short ''It's Alive!'', where he apparently forgets the events of ''Command Blocks'' and decides it'd be a great idea to use a Potion of Awakening on such a block. The only reason that this doesn't end in disaster is because his friends remember those events all too well and are quick to stop him.
* BadassTeacher: A skilled fighter that also happens to be the teacher of his Redstone Academy.
* ADayInTheLimelight: Gets the most focus out of all the stick figures, including Second Coming, in ''vs. Arcade Games''. He creates a functioning arcade cabinet, is skilled in arcade gaming, defeated a rogue [[WellIntentionedExtremist Q*bert]] bringing back his friends who got swallowed by Q*bert.
* DemolitionsExpert: Out of all the stick figures, he seems to be the one who handles [=TNT=] the most, even utilizing them in a grenade-like fashion.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: See TooCleverByHalf. He often comes up with what are seemingly clever solutions, only to inadvertently reap even worse repercussions.
* DumbAndDrummer: Inverted. He serves as the drummer in both the episodes "Note Blocks" and "Note Block Battle" as well as being one of the most intelligent stick figures capable of coding and making redstone contraptions.
* TheGadfly: The first thing he does when finding out about command blocks is troll Red with a hard-to-get cake.
* GadgeteerGenius: His persona--he's an absolute genius with redstone. He graduates from building a rapid-fire arrow dispenser in ''vs. Minecraft'' to a huge underground roller coaster network, he's the one who sets up the drumbeats with redstone torches in ''Note Blocks'', and figures out the command blocks in no time at all in ''Command Blocks''.
* HollywoodHacking: In ''The Showdown'', he manages to hack and access the Dark Lord's computer in his console in order to summon the animator to aid the Chosen One against the Dark Lord.
* MagicStaff: In ''The Raid'', the Villagers make Yellow a staff not unlike [[spoiler:King's]] in order for him to efficiently wield the Command Block that he swiped. It's not quite enough to stop [[spoiler:King, who at that point had ''two'' Master Blocks]]. [[spoiler:It gets destroyed in ''The King'', but at the end of the episode the titular King entrusts his own staff and the Command Block to Yellow]]. From that point on, it becomes Yellow's [[WeaponSpecialization signature weapon]], specifically with the Command Block installed.
* TheSmartGuy: Is the one to figure out how to [[spoiler:use the Dark Lord's computer to call for help from the Animator against the Dark Lord.]] He also takes to redstone builds like a duck to water in Minecraft.
* SmartPeopleWearGlasses: Is characterized like this in the ''Faces'' Actual Short, due to his extensive smarts in redstone.
* SoreLoser: Shares this trait with Blue. On multiple occasions, he has griefed or helped someone grief Green's creations whenever Green wins a building contest.
* TooCleverByHalf: One of his trademarks has him ideate and realise some of his greatest ideas, only to face hilarious fails when he progresses through them:
** In ''The Roller Coaster'', he builds a vast, intricate, layered, amazing roller coaster underground... but fails to account for Minecraft physics, causing his friends to fall off a cliff. Oops.
** In ''Command Blocks'', he spawns lightning to make a dramatic display for Red, smiting zombies from on high. [[spoiler:The lightning hits the command blocks, causing a massive [[InterfaceScrew Interface Screw]] that engulfs the computer itself--only the Second Coming's quick thinking saves the day.]]
** In ''Lucky Blocks'', he decides to take apart a Lucky Block to see how it works, and eventually returns with a mysterious orb that spawns all the mobs and items spawned by a lucky block. [[spoiler:The orb ends up possessing him and eventually the rest of his friends. They end up getting saved by, of all things, a flying, armed, and armored pig.]]

* TheBeastmaster: His niche among his friends is spawning mobs like his pet pigs.
* ButtMonkey: He's this so much in "Monster School", it's not even remotely funny. All of the monsters grief Red's attempts to perform all of the assignments from the Spider tripping Red trying to ambush a Steve clone, to basically being used as a stepping stool for the race by his "teammates". He even considered leaving his team for dead because they were bullying him into the ground.
* BerserkButton: Do not, we repeat, ''do not'' mess with his animals. Unless you ''want'' to experience his fighting skills firsthand.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: He gets possessed by the spirit of [[MythologyGag Herobrine]] in ''vs. Minecraft'', leading him to try and stomp his friends into a paste.
* DemonicPossession: Gets one courtesy of [[UrbanLegendOfZelda Herobrine]]. The team has to delete the Minecraft icon itself to stop him.
** [[spoiler:Gets possessed by Herobrine ''again'' in the climax of ''The King'', but at this point Herobrine is [[EnemyMine a lot less demonic]].]]
* FriendToAllLivingThings: He's the animal lover of the bunch, summoning a cat during ''The Building Contest'', bonding with a pig during ''Potions'', and even befriending some ''Minecraft'' mobs in ''Monster School''. [[spoiler:When the pig dies, he's visibly heartbroken.]] ''Note Blocks'' opens with Blue building him a statue of his pet chicken (who wanders off after they discover the note blocks and doesn't come back).
* TheGadfly: ''The Rediscovery'', the first mini-episode, focuses on the team finding the Minecraft block again after it was tossed in the trash during ''vs. Minecraft''. Everyone's excited, passing out blocks and items, when Yellow pauses just before giving it to Red. The scene cuts to the team in full diamond armour, gear and weapons ready for a massive battle, and the Second Coming tentatively giving the block to Red before dashing to safety. [[OhCrap Red starts twitching erratically]], [[HereWeGoAgain the ominous music builds]]...and Red summons a few rabbits. (He gets a well-earned [[DopeSlap Dope Slap]] from Blue with a diamond helmet for that, which promptly knocks him out since, you know, it's ''diamond'').
* InstantKnots: In "Monster School", he uses his [[ImprovisedWeapon yellow headband]] to snatch away the enemies' weapons.
* KiddieKid: While Alan reveals that the Stick Gang are revealed to be around the ages of 10-13, Red ticks all the boxes of the typical characterization of the youngest member of a group of heroes: He's impulsive, short-sighted, hot-blooded, more emotional, too curious for his own good (as seen in "Lucky Block Staff" where the Stick Gang didn't want to test out the titular block on Yellow's staff, remembering what happened the last time they misused the block, Red took the staff to test it out himself, which lead to disastrous results), and inexperienced in various fields compared to the rest of his friends. In "An Actual Short - Power Outage", he can be seen jumping on the couch like a five-year-old. Also whenever he's in danger, the rest of the Stick Gang [[TheHeart notably work extra hard to get him out of trouble]] compared to when any of the other members are in danger.
* TheLeader: Of the "yellow team" from "Monster School".
* LeeroyJenkins: Tends to be the most impulsive out of the gang, which carries over to combat. When a fight breaks out, expect this guy to make the first move.
* MartialArtsHeadband: Gains a yellow one in ''Monster School'', as provided by his teacher Herobrine to denote who his teammates are in the final exam. He then ditches it while taking the opportunity to escape, but after seeing his appointed teammates take a beating, he puts it back on and goes to help them. After that, Red wears it to symbolize his bond with his new friends. He even utilizes it in combat at a couple points, such as whipping and grabbing King's staff with it. [[spoiler:At the end of ''The King'', he bequeaths it to the Warden.]]
* MinionMaster: Crossed with [[TheBeastmaster The Beastmaster]], above. In ''[=PvP=]'' he summons both one large iron golem and an endless stream of snowball-tossing snowmen.
* NiceGuy: He loves animals and he's a good friend--notably, he's the first person to wave to the Second Coming when the team's revived in IV. He also waves back at the armor stand waiving at him in ''Command Blocks'', interacting like it like it was just another stick figure.

* LongRageFighter: In contrast with the rest of the team, he prefers bows and crossbows in combat. Fittingly, The Second Coming equips Blue with a pair of pistols in "Animator Vs Animation IV".
* NonActionGuy: Downplayed as all members of the Fighting Stick Figures are competent fighters, but Blue is less prone to resort to direct combat compared to his friends.

* TheAce: His defining character trait as of ''vs. Minecraft''. Hell, he once even made a better robot than Yellow's, causing the latter stick figure to collapse in shame. That said, there are just a few fields that he's less skilled at than his peers, which would make him closer to a JackOfAllTrades.

* RodAndReelRepurposed: While all five sticks are experienced with using the fishing rod for [[GrapplingHook maneuvering]] and [[YouWillNotEvadeMe combat]], Green is notable for using it the most by a large margin to the point of it being his WeaponOfChoice.

* RodAndReelRepurposed: Alongside the Second Coming, all five of the main cast have a fishing rod on with them whether they use it as a [[GrapplingHookPistol grappling hook]], bind enemies with it or when in combat using it to grapple or throw any opponent.

* FireIceLightning: He mainly uses fire attacks, but he has shown the ability to summon down lightning, and has occasionally launched a freezing blast from his hands evening creating a giant iceberg to obscure the mercenaries view.

* NotSoInvincibleAfterAll: Upon his creation, he immediately proves to be a force to be reckoned with, fighting through most of the Animator's defenses and desktop icons with relative ease. The Animator's programmer friend even says that creating the Chosen One is a "suicide" move. That being said, the programmer was about to reveal a way to defeat the Chosen One before [[HisNameIs being cut off by AIM's death]], and the Chosen One is eventually restrained by Avast! Antivirus.

* PlayingWithFire: His most often used powers are fire-related ones.

* NoSell: The first and most consistenly obvious indication that there's more to him than just an orange stock figure is that he ''will not'' be deleted. He resists the Animator trying to end his task while his friends instantly vanished, and [[spoiler:The Dark Lord's energy blade erased his friends and clearly ''hurts'' him but no matter how many times he's slashed and stabbed he doesn't fade away]].

* TraumaInducedAmnesia: Implicit. [[spoiler:Second Coming's powers awakened when his friends are dead and was in a near-death situation, yet he retains no memory of the experience at all until he sees Chosen One's memory of it. It causes him to examine himself, feeling like he learned an AwfulTruth.]]

* ThePowerOfCreation: In the ''[=AvA=]'' animations, their power tends to relate to their utilisation of tools create: wielding a [[ThePenIsMightier pencil]] and using related animation implements to create actual weapons or spawn beasts. This is in contrast to The Chosen One's superpowers and the Fighting Stick Figures' martial arts, and serves as symbolism for how Second Coming is on friendlier terms the artistically-oriented Animator than the other stick figures.

* {{Reincarnation}}: Implied to be one of The Chosen One with the task manager description states it to be "The Chosen One's return".
