* RazorFloss: Cassiel's lyre possesses ten strings with purplish glow which can extend in length and move freely; basically functioning as this trope. Kannazuki observed that they can tear through even Territory-protected aircraft with ease in Chapter 13.
** When Cassiel transforms into Laharos, the lyre transforms into a pair of ribbons wrapped around her arms, each weaved by dozens of the lyre strings. They hover in the air and serve as extensions of Rinne's own body; each of the ribbons can dissolve into strings and reform as Rinne sees fit.

* CastFromHitPoints: Using any of the Angels he possess will damage his body, although Camael's HealingFactor fixes him up back again. Averted as of [[spoiler:Chapter 12, courtesy of Rio within him.]]

** Shido realizes that he [[spoiler:begins acting like Tohka after Rio transforms him into her with "Aspect of the Sephiroth" in Chapter 15 and like Miku in the next chapter]], although he is only mildly worried about this one.
** Immediately after the above example in Chapter 17, Shido once again acts like a womanizer like in Volume 12, which made him worried about his state of being. * DeclarationOfProtection: Rinne makes one for Kurumi in Chapter 13, it also remarks Rinne's desire to see Kurumi "saved".

* IJustWantToBeNormal: Deep down, Rinne longs for a normal human life that she has lost. [[spoiler:This is why Rinne appreciates Kurumi's company and is obsessed with Shido, since being with them makes her feel like she was a normal girl. This is why Rinne refuses to accept Kurumi's endgame (a ResetButtonEnding, not unlike the True Ending of ''Rinne Utopia''), because Rinne doesn't want to let go of the relationships her Spirit life had given her; namely, her friendship with Kurumi and connection with Shido. That being said, Rinne ''is'' willing to forsake this trope if it fulfills her other motivation, see IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy below.]]
* IOweYouMyLife: [[spoiler:Chapter 8 reveals that Kurumi saved Rinne from her DespairEventHorizon some time in the past. Chapter 13 further shows just how grateful Rinne is for that.]]

* LetsGetDangerous: Chapter 17 has Rinne altering her general appearance and Astral Dress for combat purposes, and reveals the true form of her Cassiel, Laharos to wield against the DEM. Funnily enough, she actually activates this in response to Shido ''flirting'' with her.
* MagicMusic: Cassiel's lyre invokes this with some of its powers. In the beginning of the story Rinne plays it to signal her arrival to Tenguu City, and to lure Kurumi out for meeting. Only Shido, Kurumi, Phantom, and possibly Westcott can hear it. Since Kurumi describes the music as "an elegant performance that only Spirits can hear" in chapter 12, it implies that only full-powered Spirits can perceive the sound.

* MultiformBalance: Seems to be the case with Rinne's "combat form" in Chapter 17. While her Angel unlocks its true form in much the same way Tohka's Sandalphon becomes Halvenhelev, Rinne loses parts of her Astral Dress, and even her RapunzelHair becomes shorter (although still qualifies for the trope as it still easily covers her back)

* MundaneUtility: Rinne uses her TouchTelepathy abilities to ''chat'' with Kurumi in Chapter 13 and 14.

** In Chapter 13, [[spoiler:Rinne is barely holding herself from lashing out at Kurumi because of her frustration with her friend.]]
** In Chapter 17, Rinne is almost unable to handle Shido's blatant teasing and flirting; she has to literally [[LetsGetDangerous cut him off with a transformation]] to recover and turn the tables.

* PlayingHardToGet: As Shido boldly flirts with her in Chapter 17, Rinne retorts by calling him a gigolo and transforms into her combat dress to render Shido speechless.

* RealityWarper: Cassiel's primary power is to observe and manipulate destiny, as well as possibilities. It has displayed [[BigBrotherIsWatching observation]], [[TouchTelepathy synchronization]] and [[WindsOfDestinyChange probability manipulation]] powers, so far.

* TouchTelepathy: "Fate Connection". Rinne can connect her own String of Fate with someone who is currently touching Cassiel's lyre. She can share her senses, memories, and even her vision of Web of Causality provided the physical contact is maintained.

* WindsOfDestinyChange: "Dance with Destiny". It is not yet fully explained, but it seems this ability manipulates the probabilities of events happening. She seems to arrange the coincidences happening in the series using this power.

* EtTuBrute: Kurumi is aware that Rinne would have liked her to give up on her goal, but she thinks that Rinne can tolerate that. [[spoiler:Upon finding out just how much Rinne wants to see her being saved in Chapter 13, Kurumi feels betrayed, and is upset enough to the point that she questions her own righteousness with her path.]]

* HeelFaceTurn: What Shido and Rinne are trying to make her do. [[spoiler:One of her clones has already done this back in Volume 3, and although she was killed twice, she returns yet again in Chapter 12.]]

* LackOfEmpathy: One of her biggest issues is her inability to understand the emotions and feelings of others on a personal level. Since [[TheUnfettered she shuts her emotions away]], she literally does not give a damn about the lives she took or ruined, and even with Shido and Rinne whom she does care about, she has trouble comprehending their desires since both of whom are motivated by sentimental emotions toward her. [[spoiler:This is most obvious at Chapter 13, in which Kurumi is shocked that Rinne actually treasures the bond they have together more than her own wish.]]

* ResetButtonEnding: The consequence of her endgame. If she successfully prevents the First Spirit from being summoned, then the plot would be resolved, as there will be no Spirit at all and everybody would live normal lives. [[spoiler:Kurumi thinks that achieving this is Rinne's secondary motivation to help her. The keyword here is "thinks" - it isn't completely true, as Kurumi finds out later in Chapter 13.]]

* TheUnfettered: How Rinne describes Kurumi's current state of mind. For the sake of her goal, Kurumi won't let anything get in the way. [[spoiler:Chapter 13 shows that she still cares for Rinne, but it doesn't deter her determination to reach her goal at all; Kurumi believes that by removing the First Spirit out of existence, Rinne will ultimately be happier as a normal human. Although, their argument at the end of said chapter puts some doubt in her resolve, and thus her current status as this trope is questionable.]]

* TearsOfJoy: [[spoiler:Miku breaks down in tears upon seeing Shido after he woke up from the coma that she is partially responsible for in Chapter 15.]]

* NervesOfSteel: Kannazuki is this, as per canon. He remains calm even as [[spoiler:he negotiates with Rinne and Kurumi, face-to-face]] and quickly regains his composure even when surprised during Chapter 14 and 15.

* SpiritAdvisor: Ironically plays this role to her own father, constantly pointing out things that Shido forgets or overlooks. Rio also calms Shido down when he gets a panic attack upon meeting Rinne again in Chapter 14.

** Chapter 15 shows a fraction of Rio's actual strength with her "Aspect of the Sephiroth" in which she channels the powers and essence of Tohka, and as a result Shido is able to transform ''into'' Tohka, complete with her appearance, Astral Dress, Angel, personality and all.

She makes her debut in Chapter 10, but only introduces herself in Chapter 12 as the 'Kurumi of that day' to Rinne, and later Shido at the same chapter.

* AxCrazy: Subverted. She displays disturbing behavior similar to her original to Shido in Chapter 12 and later Kotori in Chapter 13, but they are all playful pretense on her part.

* CrypticConversation: Upon reuniting with Shido at Chapter 12, she initially tries to remind Shido of her by using [[CallBack the same words she said to him during their meeting half a year ago at the Tanabata Festival]]. Shido gets the clue, and after that she decides to be straightforward.

* IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: Just like the original, the happiness of the people she loves matter greatly for Rinne. This is the main reason why she stays by Kurumi's side - despite their conflicting methods - because she refuses to let Kurumi be alone. True to this trope, Rinne still doesn't approve of Kurumi's way of life and personally wishes to be able to change it for her. * FreakOut: When he sees Rinne's Spirit form for the first time. He gets it much worse than the others, as he recalls a memory of himself getting killed by Rinne upon seeing her, which traumatizes him enough to put him into a coma.

* TheChessmaster: She is very intelligent in canon, but here she gets to show it off by coming up with a very complex plan to cover for Rinne's own completely ruined plan.

* TheChessmaster: She is very intelligent in canon, but here she gets to show it off by coming up with a very complex plan which directly causes the chains of events of the next arc in a matter of minutes.

* TheChessmaster: Just as much as her original self. Even the original Kurumi acknowledges her intelligence for modifying her and Rinne's plans.

* TheTease: Not as much as Kurumi, but she still does this from time to time, and not just towards Shido. Rinne states that this is because Kurumi rubs on her.

* TheTease: It's not Kurumi if she doesn't have this for Shido.

* WellIntentionedExtremist: Kurumi acknowledges herself as one in this fic. [[spoiler:Doesn't stop her from viewing herself as beyond saving though, and she refuses to allow herself (and her future selves) be happy for that.]]

* KickTheDog: Much as she tries to rectify it, Kurumi has severe LackOfEmpathy problem when it comes to anyone who isn't Shido or Rinne. This is reflected in how she considers the Spirit she and Ratatoskr are aiming to free as a mere object of bargain, something Shido calls out.

* NiceGirl: She is overall much nicer than the real Kurumi. She doesn't bat an eye when Kotori blatantly disrespects and badmouths her under her watch, she even stops Rinne from leashing out against Kotori thereafter. She is nowhere as harsh when it comes to Rinne's more emotional side, and is much more open when it comes to showing her affection towards her OnlyFriend (which is saying something!), to say nothing of her treatment toward Shido, whom she has feelings for.

!Shido Itsuka (Born:Shido Takamiya)

* TheChessmaster: Just as much as her original self. Even the original Kurumi even acknowledges her intelligence for modifying her and Rinne's plans.

* LuminiscentBlush: When Rinne thanks her for simply existing as proof that Kurumi can still be saved, 'Kurumi' is so touched she can't help but blush.

* TheAtoner: Seems to be her motivations, for all the atrocities she has committed.
* AxCrazy: Subverted. She displays disturbing behavior similar to her original, but they are all pretense on her part.
* LargeHam: Unlike the original, ''this'' Kurumi pretty much indulges in this trope for all it's worth, seeing as Shido likes that about her.

** In Chapter 17, Rinne is almost able to handle Shido's blatant teasing and flirting; she has to literally [[LetsGetDangerous cut him off with a transformation]] to recover and turn the tables.

** FanservicePack: Definitely. As the concept art shows above and the description nearly notes, Rinne loses the veil covering her face as well as most of the curtains on her headdress, which emphasizes her SexyBacklessOutfit. Her clock dress also becomes a MinidressOfPower, leaving [[ShesGotLegs a good amount of her legs bare]] on top of a pair of [[CombatStilettos golden stilettos]]. Even Shido was rendered speechless out of its beauty until Rinne herself snaps him out of his daze.

* TheAce: Downplayed. While she still displays talent in various different things, she is not as intelligent as Kurumi and often relies on her partner's capabilities. She ''is'' the stronger one of the duo, however.

* ElegantClassicalMusician: Her canon design is already very elegant - a very long purple clock dress which exposes her back, a purple headdress and a rose-colored RapunzelHair that both reach her ankles, plus a pink veil covering her face to add an air of mystery - and the very first thing we see her doing in the fic is playing a musical serenade with her lyre, which turns out to be her Angel as well. Chapter 9 further shows her ability to sing, as a ContinuityNod to ''Rio Reincarnation'', where Rinne is said to be talented at singing.

* LetsGetDangerous: Chapter 16 has Rinne altering her general appearance and Astral Dress for combat purposes, and reveals the true form of her Cassiel, Laharos to wield against the DEM.

* BerserkButton: The dream he has in the first chapter. Whenever he thinks or is reminded of the dream, he is ''pissed''. Most notably in Chapter 2, when it drives him into a short-lived rage as he chases "Phantom."

Only Rinne's eyes and Kurumi's clock eye can perceive the intangible power, and only Rinne can interpret the Strings. Using this, she is capable of observing the thoughts and actions of anyone she has ever seen, no matter where they are. It does have its limits however, in that Rinne cannot observe someone whom she hasn't physically seen yet and it can only observe the ''current'' thoughts and actions of people, so it is possible for Rinne to miss information when the ability is not active.

* DeclarationOfProtection: Rinne makes one for Kurumi in Chapter 13, it also remarks Rinne's desire to see Kurumi "saved."
