* DentedIron: In the rewrite, she actually arrives on Pietro's doorstep with broken ribs and a ton of other wounds, including burn scars and claw marks. Her wounded state is explained to have been the product of starting off going in the ''[[ForWantOfANail opposite direction]]'' the original Sarah went in.

* HurtingHero: She starts off addled by [[spoiler:two completely different]] DarkAndTroubledPast[[spoiler:s]], and clearly struggles with depression and some trauma symptoms, demonstrating [[TheAlcoholic alcoholism]] and other maladaptive coping mechanisms. Add a massive guilt complex, [[spoiler:and her being a malfunctioning TykeBomb,]] while also being thrust into the role of a FixerSue and it's really no wonder why she undergoes SanitySlippage pretty much immediately.

Sarah's [[WeaponOfChoice Iconic Weapon]] for ''While We Fall'' is ''Amour'', which initially appeared as a Chiappa Rhino 60DS, but in the rewrite, it was later Retconned to be an older-model Remnant equivalent manufactured by Beowolf Arms Company. In [[ContinuityReboot both versions]] of the story, she implies she believes it to be one of a pair, together called ''Amour et Guerre'', but she only had ''Amour'' on awakening. [[spoiler:Both of these weapons are later revealed have been [[EmpathicWeapon sentient]] [[LegendaryWeapon Legendary]] {{Magitek}} [[MorphWeapon "Omni-Weapons"]] in a [[BifurcatedWeapon bifurcated form]] [[PlotDeviceAllAlong all along.]]]]

* PerkyGoth: Downplayed—she's still pretty dark, superficially emotionless and sour, but apart from some significant mental issues, she's actually reasonably well adjusted. [[spoiler: Most of the time. "Heart", her upbeat SplitPersonality takes this UpToEleven but it's pretty clear she's a StepfordSmiler.]]

* MistakenNationality: Towards Twitch. For one, she's not even from Remnant, but in Heart's manic state, she mistakes Twitch's accent that's based on Catalan for Spanish.
