* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: [[spoiler:She starts to develop feelings of appreciation for Kyoji thanks to the kind geneticist looking after her along with helping her during her weaker moments. Her sister Monaca is worried that Kanade's feelings could turn into ''romantic'' ones which can make things complicated for everyone]].

* AmnesiacsAreInnocent: [[spoiler: Subverted. While Kanade is considerably kinder and friendly after her memories are wiped, she still retains some feelings of jealousy and possessiveness without knowing exactly why. Kyoji works to help her understand that just having feelings doesn't make her a bad person and she promises not to let them get the better of her.]]
* AwesomeByAnalysis: Given her serial killer nature and her personal interest in crime cases, Kanade is exceptionally brilliant with analyzing a given killer's habits or mode of operation. This is best shown during the [[spoiler:''Let the Dogs Out'']] Arc where she [[spoiler:assists Sonia and the Imposter track down the Copycat Killer]].

* ForgivenButNotForgotten: [[spoiler: After undergoing DeathOfPersonality and being taken in by Kyoji and Monaca, most of the group has accepted she's no longer a threat, but still aren't really comfortable around her.]]
* GreenEyedMonster: She gets fiercely jealous whenever people get too close to Hibiki, which gives her more reason to kill them. [[spoiler:Even after she's rendered harmless, she admits to feeling jealous whenever anyone gets to close to her caretaker Kyoji]].

* DirtyCoward: In a flashback, Emina insults Harumi without a care in the world to Tenmei and Shinji. When said Reserve Course girl s appears and threatens to beat her up, Emina runs away like a total wuss, begging Harumi not to damage her face.

* GracefulLoser: [[spoiler:At first, he goes after his kids after being exposed, but after being beaten he admits defeat. He even tries to convince Emina it's over to no avail. He also shows some signs of remorse for his actions, while she remained in denial and had to be cornered trying to escape.]]
