* Precursors: A rare inversion. Humans are their ''precursors'', and they're trying to dig up anything they can find about humans to learn more about us.

* AilmentInducedCruelty: It's a possibility. Martin is being treated for an unspecified disease that has had him in a coma for a long enough time that his leg muscles have atrophied, requiring the use of mobility aids. His psychological bullying and frame up of David does make one wonder wether Martin is acting out due to bitterness at the knowledge that he won't live long, not helped by the fact that David is a mecha and technically can't die. Otherwise, it really doesn't paint Henry and Monica's parenting in a good light.

He is also, like David, not moving or talking when found and clearly has been dormant (or at least unpowered) for quite some time and therefore unconscious for most of his time in the ice.

* TheCasanova: He has sex with multiple women because it’s his job. Otherwise, he doesn’t seem to understand them on a genuine level. While his is surprised to see one of his Client’s killed by her envious husband, he doesn’t really grieve for her.
