* TranslationTrainWreck: Skreg is one of the characters whose personality is most drastically changed in the English version. Originally, he was [[ABoyAndHisX a plucky little guy with a big monster friend]] that he often talks to directly and calls [[AffectionateNickname Affectionate Nicknames]]. In the English version, his attitude is much more aggressive, and he acknowledges his ironjaw’s existence much less, to the point of even the ironjaw’s [[NoNameGiven name]] being excluded from the English translation of his lore. This seems to have been averted somewhat as in the Cycle of Sorrow event in voyage of Wonders, Skreg directly calls his steed Savagehorn, and at the end calls him by one of his [[AffectionateNickname Affectionate Nicknames]] (big guy, in this instance).

* OutGambitted: She agreed to help Safiya reclaim the throne of her clan and effectively made her a Puppet queen, reliant on Ankhira's warriors to retain control. A MagicMeteor that could be used to magnify Safiya's magic fell from the sky. Knowing that Ankhira would never allow her to touch it if she knew the truth, she simply told Ankhira that it could give tremendous power. Ankhira tested it with her soldiers, and each became dumb upon contact. Concluding it was a trap for ''her'', a furious Ankhira decided it would be ironic if Safiya died to the MagicMeteor instead and cornered her to it. But Safiya, being an expert in the PowerOfTheVoid, was able to absorb it just fine. Now, Ankhira's army has been annihilated, and she and her people are on the run, as Safiya consolidates her rule over the sphinxes and prepares to overthrow Skriath.
