[=SpongeBob=], being the idiot he is, misinterprets this as him simply being in denial about being a ghost and needing to be sent to the afterlife to rest.

* In ''WesternAnimation/{{Rollbots}}'', No one believes Spin that Vertex is actually a {{Spider|Tank}}, and they have even greater difficulty believing that he is [[BigBad the one orchestrating all of Flip City's crime]]. Only when [[spoiler:Vett]] appears does anyone consider Spiderbots a viable idea, but only Penny accepts that Vertex ''might'' be a criminal mastermind. However, it turns out that [[spoiler:Captain Pounder and Ms. Appie]] knew the whole time.

* ''WesternAnimation/{{Amphibia}}'': In "[[Recap/AmphibiaS2E36TrueColors True Colors]]", Sasha discovers that [[spoiler:King Andrias, far from TheGoodKing he presents himself as, [[EvilAllAlong is a vicious tyrant]] looking to use the Calamity Box to [[MultiversalConqueror invade other dimensions]], including Earth]]. Unfortunately, because of her [[CryingWolf history of lies and manipulation]] and being complicit in an ongoing toad coup, alienating Anne and Marcy as a result, her attempts to reveal this fall on deaf ears until it's too late.

** Whenever Phineas and Ferb are getting industrial supplies trucked into the backyard, the contractor will look at Phineas and ask, "[[PhraseCatcher Aren't you boys a bit young to be]] doing this?" and Phineas'll respond, "[[CatchPhrase Why, yes, yes we are]]." WordOfGod is that they think the two are child prodigies (why else would they be ordering all of these things?). How accustomed the delivery people are to Phineas and Ferb's strange orders is lampshaded in one episode where there are two contractors, one noticeably younger than the other. The younger one asks the standard "Aren't you a little young for this?" To which the older contractor quickly says "Sorry Phineas, he's new."
