Domestic, not Domesticated. Dodge is a proud American car brand, known for their big, mighty and very loud cars loaded with lots of power, muscle and boldness.

In fiction, Dodge has been used very ubiquitously in Hollywood and its many American works, ranging from the UsefulNotes/AmericanLawEnforcement in their Dodge Monaco and Charger sedans, to the daring and the dangerous who loves breaking rules with a classic Dodge Charger, Challenger or even Viper, or something just practical like the Ram... unless one character makes it a venerable screaming monster.

-->--Description, VideoGame/FarCry5

Dodge has a huge history of pickup trucks, but the one the grew popularity amongst the masses in America is none other than the Ram pickup truck.

It was originally the Dodge Ram, which was the brand's series of light trucks when it was introduced in 1980 after retiring and rebadging the aging Dodge D-series, with its signature "Ram" emblem reintroduced since 1954, it also defines as Dodge's new logo of 1993. It's offered in either a regular full-sized pickup, a medium chassis cab or a heavy-duty truck with six wheels. Usually, Rams use LA/Magnum/HEMI V8 engines, but also inline-6 diesel engines built by Cummings.

A high-performance variant called the Dodge Ram SRT-10 was unveiled in 2004, based on the standard third-generation Ram 1500, with about 10,000 units produced. Under the hood would be powered by the same V10 engine as the Dodge Viper powered with about 500 hp. It's arguably the fastest pickup truck to date, reaching speeds of 154 mph (248 km/h).

In 2010, Ram would go to be its own brand, while bringing the Ram logo alongside them, forcing Dodge to change their logo, using two red inclined stripes. (which would be signature stripes on its front fenders)

In 2012, the final generation was introduced, with a fully redesigned body and added new driving aids in order to comply with modern vehicle safety standards. -->--Creator/JeremyClarkson, reading the safety warning on the Viper, Series/TopGearUK

Originally a Chrysler sports car, the Dodge Viper is an American supercar introduced in 1992.

Unlike its fellow American sports cars that mostly utilize V8 engines, the Viper on the other hand gets its source of power from a 8.0L OHV V10 combined with a six-speed manual transmission. One source of it is that the engine block was produced in cooperation with Lamborghini, allowing this power plant to deliver over 400 horsepower.

The early version, the RT/10 was originally a sports targa before shifting into a liftback coupe in 1996. In 2002, the Viper saw a major overhaul courtesy of Dodge's performance division, Street & Racing Technology (SRT), renamed the Viper SRT-10.

In 2012, the final generation was introduced, with a fully redesigned body and added new driving aids in order to comply with modern vehicle safety standards. It was marketed as the SRT Viper in 2013 before it was renamed back to Dodge Viper two years later. At the same year, the Fiat Chrysler group Currently as Stellantis in 2021 announces its discontinuation of the Viper in 2017.

->Johnny: This one's not half-bad.\\
Daniel: It's a 2009 Challenger, 5.8-liter.\\
Johnny: 5.7.
-->--Series/CobraKai

The Dodge Challenger is the name of the brand's muscle car, and widely considered to be one of the PowerTrio amongst American pony cars alongside the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro. The "challenger" name was derived from the 1959 Dodge Silver Challenger, a trim of the two-door Dodge Coronet.

The first-generation Challenger was introduced in the autumn of 1969 as a 1970 model year, which utilizes one of the two Chrysler E-body cars, with the other half being the smaller Plymouth Barracuda. Its first year has two different series; the Challenger and the Challenger R/T (Road/Track), which use a Slant-6 inline-6 and an LA/B/Hemi V8 engine respectively. A special edition Challenger T/A (Trans Am) was also available on the same year as a racing homologation car, similar to its rivals Camaro [=Z28=] and Boss 302 Mustang.

While the second-gen in 1978 is essentially a rebadged Mitsubishi Galant Lambada, the Challenger stopped production for a while in 1983.

In 2006, Dodge unveils the Challenger Concept as a preview for its third-generation, Retraux with designs adapted from the aforementioned 1970 Challenger R/T. On February 6, 2008, the Challenger is finally in its full-fledged production-ready model, with its high-performance Challenger [=SRT8=] making waves in the same year, utilizing a HEMI OHV V8 engine. In 2015, Dodge unveiled a high performance variant of the Challenger called the Challenger SRT Hellcat, equipped with a supercharged 6.2 L Hemi V8 at 707 horsepower, while in 2017 sees an even more extreme version, now called the Challenger SRT Demon rated with a whopping 808 hp. It acceleration is quite fast as it can go 0-60 in less than 3.6 seconds. Because of the lack of an NHRA certified roll cage, which is required if the quarter-mile time is under 10 seconds, the NHRA banned the SRT Demon from competition.

->"We built a Charger 'idea' car which we displayed at auto shows in 1965 to stimulate market interest in the concept. It was the approved design but we told the press and auto show attendees that it was just an "idea" and that we would build it if they liked it. It was pre-ordained that they would like it."
-->--Burt Bouwkamp, Chief Engineer for Dodge during TheSixties, responsible behind the Dodge Charger.

TheSixties were booming in personal luxury and specialty cars. Chrysler, who was lagging behind in the market commissioned Dodge to enter the market with their mid-sized B-body fastback that would compete with the likes of the Ford Mustang and Ford Thunderbird. Based on the Dodge Coronet, the Dodge Charger, a mid-size muscle car made its debut in mid-1966. Differentiating from its rival models comes full-length center console and "all bucket seating" for both front and rear. Despite it, it wasn't intended to compete head-to-head with pony cars.

The Charger was entirely redesigned in 1968, to further distance it from the Dodge Coronet. The new body now featured coke bottle styling, curves around fenders and a "flying buttress" similarly used in the 1966-67 Pontiac GTO. A higher performance was added called the Charger R/T (short for Road/Track), fitted with a 426 cu in HEMI V8 engine, which would become Chrysler's top-of-the-line muscle car.

The third-generation Charger in 1971 merges its Coronet and Charger bodies in one model. The Super Bee also became part of the Dodge Charger lineup alongside variants carried over in its previous generation. Sales declined due to high insurance costs and gasoline prices. The fourth-generation Charger in 1975 see a miracle again in sales, and would later seize production in 1978, with the Dodge Magnum taking place as the Charger's successor.

The Charger name would be later re-introduced in 2005, this time as a full-size 4-door sedan.

->"The 2006 Dodge Charger [=SRT8=] is the car that a lot of long-time Mopar fans have been waiting for! Finally, a car with the muscle to do real justice, to one of Chrysler's most famous car nameplates."
-->--Description, Retro Review [=MotorWeek=]

The Charger name was finally revived in 2005 after 18 years, first introduced during the year's North American International Auto Shot. This time, it's a full-size four door sedan, serving as the successor to the Dodge Intrepid. It's offered in either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, usually in either an entry-level Magnum V6 engine to the powerful HEMI or even supercharged Hellcat V8. While being in its sedan body, the Charger retains its muscle car lineage from the original Dodge Charger from TheSixties and TheSeventies.

The first-generation is offered in either its entry Base model, an SXT rim which was the volume seller, its performance-oriented R/T and the top-of-the-line [=SRT8=]. Typically that generation is offered with a 5-speed manual transmission at its highest. The second-generation on the other hand includes most of the aforementioned variants, plus the almighty Charger SRT Hellcat, with its supercharged Hemi V8 engine producing 707 horsepower, it's capable of reaching 222 mph on Bonneville Salt Flats. Dodge claimed it was the fastest sedan ever produced.

Chargers have been widely seen for police use in the UsefulNotes/UnitedStates, and in some police agencies internationally.
