* GenreDeconstruction: Of hackneyed family-oriented hugging and learning sitcoms, especially ''Series/FullHouse''. Horsin' Around is a direct parody of the show. It also does this to traditional AnimatedShockComedy sitcoms like WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons and WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy. Bojack himself is a character who claims anything he learned about being good he learned from comforting tv shows as they were his way of coping with his hard family life. However, believing in the values of sitcom morals hasn't done him any good in his own life. He sets expectations for his own life based on his ideas of goodness only to be heavily let down because of course a comfort show formula does not work well in real life where people are complex, situations are complex. things don't get resolved in forced ways for the point of giving a happy ending, and life will continue until its over. Even sitcom plots that involve characters taking down someone to feel in control of their lives doesn't work because at the end of the day, doing good is a matter of perspective and no matter what choices someone does to effect the live of someone else, there are going to be consequences to those actions.
