** And things circle back to Discord and Nightmare Nhilis, both trying to claim the title of BigBad... not for power.. but so they can take all the BLAME. Then Havoc's insane avatar, Paxphobia, ends up being the True Final Boss as it breaks free of Discord's control as his change of heart weakens his grasp on it.]]

* ''Fanfic/WhatIfFreezaTurnedGood'': Trogen, the AxeCrazy third son of King Cold and his intended successor after exiling Freeza. Initially, King Cold's exile of Freeza and creation of Trogen causes the conflict, but he ends up dead by Trogen's hand as his drive to kill Freeza surpasses Cold's desire to leave a successor to run the empire. From there, Trogen is regarded as the biggest threat in the story.

* ''Fanfic/TheBridge'' (''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'' & ''Franchise/{{Godzilla}}'') has the mysterious entity that brings the {{Kaiju}} to Equestria, and creates a LegionOfDoom out of the worst of them. It ultimately turns out to be [[spoiler: [[OmnicidalManiac Bagan]]]]. Letter developments reveal [[spoiler:the Shadow King [[GodOfEvil Grogar]], the Nexus of Dark Magic and a being on par with Bagan and Harmony, also exists and [[BigBadEnsemble is likely to share billing with Bagan for this trope.]]]]
