* Bridgette uses her social positioning to help navigate the turmoil Sugar's idol has caused in her first, and only, pre merge elimination ceremony by eliminating Sugar's showmance partner.
* After navigating the most elimination ceremonies of any of the contestants in the pre merge, Cody is the first contestant this season to earn two individual immunities thanks to a lucky draw with an avalanche and an artful presentation during a talent contest.
* Sadie, Eva, and Laine all go out with their heads held high against Roman.
* Even Roman manages to be a graceful loser when being eliminated.
* When it seems like Alejandro could be going home, Alexis uses the idol to keep Alejandro in the game and eliminates Bridgette. This clears a path for both Alexis and Alejandro to make it to the final two seats.
* Alejandro manages to advocate his case well enough with well positioned and well stated lies in order to become the first male winner of the Blended series.

%%Hi y'all this is Trygve, one of the authors for this story. Wasn't really sure where to put this, but decided this would be the best spot for some extra information, especially in regards to our original plans, and regrets we have about the story. I'll periodically add stuff here as time goes on, but here is some stuff that immediately comes top of mine.
%%
%%Island: Easily the sheer amount of campers, we were not ready for that at the time, and this left several characters with lacking plot, or misguided plot. Such as Chloe, Ella, Justin, Tem, among some other early boots. With the benefit of hindsight, we would have 100% cut the cast down to 24 and moved Justin and Ella to ROTI and likely Tem and Izzy to PI. Due to the cast size and how we handled a lot of the screen time this led us to having to pick a couple people to return to Action, that likely would not have had they been given proper screen time, which does suck to some extent, but we do want to right the wrongs as best as we can and try an give some of the characters a better plot line than we originally did.
%%
%%In these scenarios, Ella likely gets to about the ROTI swap, and Justin gets about 10th (In this universe merge would have been at 9 or 10 most likely rather than Final 8 like the original)
%%
%%As for Tem/Izzy, Izzy likely has a big character plot in PI but goes semi early, and Tem likely gets to around the early merge, likely having some sort of story line with Drew.
%%
%%It has crossed my mind that making a more conclusive updated version of Island would probably be a good idea, but I think most readers who have stuck around would prefer us to at least finish the series first before tackling the past.
%%ROTI: We do not have any strong regrets in regards to ROTI, we do wish we got episodes out a bit faster, but we felt overall the season was good. We do acknowledge the DJ/Quentin plot was a tad rushed despite our attempts to hint at it prior, we likely should have added or shifted the plot back at least one episode so the build up the merge episode would be better.
%%We also kind of regret kicking out Staci first, I think we probably should have just flipped Max and Staci, or even booted Owen first since he was more or less always intended to be the returnee, given we wanted Lindsay to grow without Tyler, and the rest we felt just did not fit the overall merge story as well as Owen did.
%%PI: The only real regret with PI is booting out Sadie so early, given the characters I do think it would be tough to find a way for her to make it further, unless we had decided to speed up Zeke's story line, or Anne Maria's, but both felt better off as they were. So we tried to angle Sadie being a massive character as best as we could given we only had so much room to flesh out some of these earlier boots.
%%
