* In ''Superman vol 1 #149'' -an imaginary story in which Lex Luthor managed to kill Superman- Supergirl breaks into the Luthor's lair while he and other criminals are celebrating her cousin's death. Several of them shoot her -even though she has just informed them that she is Superman's cousin- and she suggests that they stop wasting bullets. She arrests Luthor and brings him to Kandor where he is banished to the Phantom Zone. With justice served, Kara swears to carry on her cousin's legacy.

* In ''Superman Family'' #183, Supergirl faces Shyla Kor-Onn, a Phantom Zoner who has stolen a fraction of her powers. As brawling in the Fortress of Solitude, Kara lets Shyla hit her, so the backlash throws the woman back into the path of PhantomZone Projector's ray, and she's sent her back in the Phantom Zone.

Kara remembers she and Superman stopped using robots because Earth's pollution gummed up their circuits, so she lures him to Earth. Once Klax-Ar 's sled starts breaking down, she punches him ''across New York'' and takes him back to a planet prison.

* The Carnivore, the First Vampire of the DC Universe ([[ContinuityDrift at least in Peter David's run]]) and a [[DimensionLord Demon Lord who ruled his own dimension]] has managed to take over the universe by [[RefugeInAudacity blackmailing God/The Presence]] with the souls of the Earth Angels. This proves to be a XanatosGambit on the part of Gods as the Linda Danvers Supergirl manages to turn the resulting CrapsackWorld on the Carnivore and defeat the omnipotent being with the power of love.
* In Supergirl vol 4 #79, Rebel tries to harass Kara after trying to kill her and Linda Danvers. Supergirl proceeds to tell him that he is a pathetic, insignificant nuisance with delusions of grandeur and she is a very busy and very angry PhysicalGod. He runs away.

* Linda Danvers manages to take over the position of the Pre-Crisis Supergirl despite having only a fraction of her powers for decades, protecting the universe in hopes of sacrificing herself for the fifteen-year-old girl she'd known only a couple of weeks. The fact her noble nature wins over the Pre-Crisis Superman into loving her makes her ''Many Happy Returns'' arc a truly impressive one. Too bad it ends on a BittersweetEnding verging on DownerEnding.
* The Linda Danvers defeat of Xenon, a being who has killed hundreds of Supergirl's across countless timelines, is a definite one.
* In ''Superman/Batman'' issue #9, Batman is watching Kara stealthily... until she turns around and tells she isn't impressed by his ninja antics.

* At the end of "Way of the World", Kara runs into Clayface. She lets the mud monster hit her for a bit before disabusing him of any notion he's a match for her (Kara freezes him solid, flies him way, WAY up and lets him drop).

* In "Who Is Superwoman?" Reactron nullifies Supergirl's powers and thinks he's already won. Then Kara proceeds to kick his butt with her bare hands and an iron rod as pointing out how ridiculous is the thinking that a girl whose training has been overseen by the Earth's three greatest heroes is defenseless:

* During the finale of ''Comicbook/NewKrypton'', Ursa has been visiting one capital after another and butchering world leaders. Arriving at the White House she kills Codename: Liberty and heads inside, only to be intercepted by Kara, who engages her in battle inside the Oval Office, and with an assist from Superboy and Krypto, brings her rampage to a halt.

* Talking Bizarrogirl into [[GrewASpine growing a spine]] and saving Bizarroworld.
* Kara going into UnstoppableRage and laying a massive beatdown on Doomsday during ''Reign of Doomsday''. In ''Comicbook/SupermanBatman Annual #5'', she comes face to face with Doomsday. And she is actually glad because she wanted a chance to take him -the monster who killed her cousin- on one-on-one.
