* Carver's [[LetsGetDangerous reaction to]] Virgil Byrnes [[spoiler: trying to kill Eric]]. Put it this way, this is ''exactly'' why you don't fuck with a kid around a Vietnam vet who was also in the Special Forces. [[spoiler: It gets better when Carver tells the reporter that he not only expects to be punished to the fullest extent of the law, but ''wants to be'' as he doesn't want to encourage vigilantism]].
* Ms. Lemry delivering an epic ShutUpHannibal to Vice-Principal Mautz after he blames the class in general, and Eric and Steve in particular, for [[spoiler:Mark attempting suicide after Jody shames him in class by revealing that, despite his militant pro-life language, he forced her to get an abortion after they slept together.]]
* Mr. Ellerby's arrival in Mautz's office after [[spoiler:Mark]] attempts suicide. He puts the kibosh on Mautz's efforts to blame Eric and Steve for it, tricks Mautz into crossing a line that an educator shouldn't cross (attempting to inject his personal religious beliefs into the operations of a public school) and then informs him that Mautz's boss will hear about said line-crossing ASAP. And also ensures that Eric and Steve are not to be bothered again, ever.

* Sarah Byrnes's TheReasonYouSuckSpeech to Vice-Principal Mautz and Mark Brittain, during a runaway abortion debate. First she asks Mark if he ''really'' believes that all life is sacred. Then she asks him if the church that he and Mautz go to preaches that all life is sacred. Finally, she points out that ''neither'' of them has ever said anything to her during the entire time they've known her, kind or otherwise, and that the best they can do is tell ''Eric'' what to say to her. She ends by asking, "How can you people care so much about the born when you don't even give a shit about the ''born''?" Really, it doesn't matter whether you're pro-life or pro-choice, it's hard not to be blown away by that speech.
