* ''Enterprise'' has been ambushed by [[Film/StarTrekV Klaa's]] Bird of Prey, and Kirk needs to bring the engagement to an end quickly to deal with a deteriorating situation on the planet they're currently orbiting. As they've been caught by surprise ''Enterprise'' has taken serious damage, and is unable to slug it out (even though at full strength she significantly outclasses the Klingon ship). The crew quickly realizes that Klaa has sacrificed much of his ship's energy reserves to make the long approach to attack position under cloak, and that he's concentrated all power to the forward shields. Klaa keeps his bow to ''Enterprise'' to prevent Kirk from getting a shot at his unshielded stern. So Kirk has Scotty ''beam one of Klaa's own torpedoes'' into a position behind the Bird of Prey, and let's the fact that objects in motion stay in motion even after transport to take care of the rest.

** While not quite as spectacular, ''Enterprise'' utterly curbstomps a quartet of Maroan ships over Epsilon Kitaj in issue 39, breaking their blockade.
** When Kirk and Sulu spring their trap on the Maroans in #40. Horalt moves in to seize the Tabukan warheads only for the wheels to fall off as first his boarding party is ambushed by Starfleet security troops, then Chekov reveals the ship he ''thought'' was covering his flank had actually been captured and was now crewed by a Federation prize crew. To top it all off, a dramatic shot of ''Enterprise'' and ''Excelsior emerging from the cover of the asteroid field they were skulking around in to complete the trap.

* In issue 37 ''Excelsior'' is ambushed by some ''ten'' Maroan attack ships. She runs the Maroans off with only minor damage as testament to how heavy her shielding and firepower is.

* Sweeney may be the only person in the ''entire franchise'' to not only shrug off the Vulcan Nerve Pinch, but to ''NoSell'' it altogether.

* R.J. exposing Kirk's chauvinism, and that the ''real'' reason he's so threatened by her presence isn't so much her authority over him, but the fact that she's a ''woman'' with authority over him. She tricks it out of him by switching from her aggressive personality and playing much more submissive while ''actually'' making a pass at him, then shuts him down the moment he's suckered into responding to her new tack. Kirk is frozen mid-rant for ''three full panels'' unable to think of a counter argument more potent than, "You wish!"

* Scotty gets another one with the transporter in issue 12: the Salla [[spoiler: has planted an explosive on the Klingon Emperor, intending to kill him, Kirk, and the entire Federation Council over their perceived slights. Fortunately, Kirk realizes that the Salla has slipped out of the room, and ''Enterprise's'' sensors detect the energy of the explosive. After a brief scrap to pull the explosive off the Emperor, Scotty beams it to a point overhead just before it explodes. When asked why he didn't beam it into space, Scotty remarks he wanted to make sure that the Emperor could ''see'' what just happened]].

!!''Debt of Honor''

* Jame Finney laying out a Klingon ''twice her size'' with one kick when the woman gets smart with her. Kor is ''so'' impressed he makes her an honorary member of his crew, even dressing her in a Klingon uniform. The icing on the cake is that Jame's opponent ''congratulates'' her when she comes to.
