He's getting beaten up by four guys while some loser is holding a knife to his former girlfriend [[spoiler: who still loves him but was ashamed to see him because she put on a lot of weight]]. He takes the beating, but when the asshole with the knife attempts to cut her, he throws all four goons off effortlessly and beats the fail out of the bastard with the knife. The heartwarming part is this: [[spoiler: he tells said girl, whom he still loves, that nothing would make him not love her.]]

* Likewise, in the true last battle of the game, the Main Character [[spoiler: having completed the tarot journey, [[DavidVersusGoliath stands up against the]] {{anthropomorphic personification}} [[DavidVersusGoliath of]] '''[[DavidVersusGoliath death itself]]''', alone -- as everyone else is being crushed by the raw power emanating from the boss. The attack is coming from the moon, so he calmly levitates into outer space with the ''sheer power of his psyche''. Facing the thing behind the end of the world, he gets blasted with an attack designed to wipe out life on Earth itself -- it does 9999 HP damage in a game with a 3 digit HP cap -- repeatedly. [[{{Determinator}} Each time he stands back up]]. [[{{Nakama}} His friends]], [[DeadExMachina including one who died during the game]], [[ThePowerOfFriendship cheer him on]], their cheers [[SpiritBomb healing his wounds]] as he goes from [[NormallyIWouldBeDeadNow barely surviving the attacks]], to dodging the attacks, to outright [[ShootingSuperman ignoring the attacks]]. In the end, fully healed, he reaches out and [[DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu wipes the entire thing and himself out of the sky]] (by pointing at it with one finger no less). Cue the panic as they think he's dead, only for him to [[IGotBetter come back a few minutes later.]]]] Of course, this being a game by the ShinMegamiTensei team, [[spoiler: [[BrokeYourArmPunchingOutCthulhu this is mercilessly subverted]], as Persona 3 FES explains.]]
* And prior to this, if you've leveled up the Main Character enough, you can get his ultimate persona, the Messiah. Yes, ''the'' Messiah. He can be created to use instant-kill light ''and'' dark magic, comes with one of the most powerful physical attacks (Hand of God, no less), plenty of resistances, and can learn the full-party perfect healing spell and - in tasty irony - become [[ImmuneToBullets immune to piercing attacks]]. Holy shit.
** To quote the epic LetsPlay of the game:

* Junpei Iori and his epic jump from fail to awesome. After [[spoiler: Chidori, a member of Strega, tries to kill him, he's still believing in her until the very end, promising to protect her until the end. Then Takaya shoots him once, killing him instantly - at which point Chidori [[HeroicSacrifice sacrifices herself to bring him back]] (in itself a CMOA for Chidori). After her death Junpei makes his ultimate revelation, upgrades his Persona and proceeds to blow Jin up.]]
** Did we forget to mention that Jin(the guy who Junpei blew back) 'absorbs' fire(Junpei's respective elemental affinity)?

* Shinjiro Aragaki is nothing but CMOA. [[spoiler: Sacrificing yourself to save the kid ''who has been planning to kill you for two years'' can't not be epic, surely.]]
* For me, the crowning dramatic moment in the game is the moment Aigis shouts "Palladion!" and ''Unavoidable Battle'' starts playing as her showdown with [[spoiler: Ryoji]] truly begins. Everything about that cut scene is just brilliant, crowning perfection. The way his voice changes from a frightened, confused kid into grim understanding and confidence, the way the animation flashes back and forth between the past and present battle to show how history's repeating itself, and Aigis's tone of voice, both emotionless and pure 100-proof {{determinator}} at the same time, for the following line...

* Beating Babel in most paths. But nothing beats Gin's path, where you command it to banish all demons from within the Yamanote Lockdown... and he does exactly that. [[JerkassGenie Including your own.]] Which only makes it all the more awesome when you get to destroy that devil tower thing with [[spoiler: your own power]].

** Even Heat’s [[spoiler:last moments come as surprising, seeing as he’s about to die and can’t do anything about it, he uses [[FinalSpeech his last words]] to [[IfYouEverDoAnythingToHurtHer tell Serph to take care of Sera]], even to the point of demanding him to tell her he killed him, [[IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy so that she doesn’t have to feel guilty]]. [[ItHasBeenAnHonor It’s no surprise to see Serph carrying his corpse in his arms after that]].]]

* Showing [[spoiler: Lucifer]] you're worthy of the mantle of King of Bel counts. Defying [[spoiler: the Devil himself]], he who calls himself your father - even braving ''[[ThatOneAttack Megidoladyne]]'', at least twice, and more than likely '''''four''''' times, until he no longer has anything else to use against you. One can feel him smiling just like he smiled at the Hito-Shura (as mentioned above) while he calmly stated [[EldritchAbomination Belberith]] had zero chances against you.

*** And then it comes full circle in [[spoiler:most endings when you have to fight ALL the Bel-demons again]]. Cue CurbStompBattle for any adequately leveled player. [[spoiler:Against a few EldritchAbomination and the right hand of Lucifer, no less.]]
* While it's rather dark, the Chaos End qualifies, ending with [[spoiler:the main character, now the Demon Lord with eyes in permanent rape-stare, casually with-calling the legions of hell in front of the SDF, then going off to have war with GOD.]] Kind of makes [[spoiler:Metatron's e-mail to his now unneeded Comp]] rather silly looking.

* In the True Ending, [[spoiler: the Main Character, rather pissed off at the boss and suitably powered up by the events right before the fight, takes off the evoker glasses -- the device that lets him summon his persona -- throws them away, summons his persona ''anyway'', and blasts the everliving hell out of the boss.]]
** And that was [[spoiler: his response to Izanami hammering him with an insanely powerful spell ''several times in a row''. Which had ''no effect whatsoever''.]]
*** Did we forget to mention [[spoiler: [[DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu Izanami is the co-creator of the universe and deity of death in Japanese mythology?]] ]] Terribly sorry if that's the case.
** [[spoiler: The glasses weren't an evoker of any kind, and had nothing to do with summoning Personas. The glasses let them see through the fog, and him throwing them away symbolized that he didn't need them anymore, because he'd discovered the final truth (also, the ability you're using at the time is called "Myriad Truths").]] Still CMOA, but for entirely different reasons.
** [[spoiler: It's implied the glasses also protect the wearer from the health effects of the fog. In other words, he doesn't fear death, even the goddess of it herself. Especially since since he was on its brink minutes earlier.]]
** The [[LetsPlay Endurance Run]] of GiantBomb [[http://www.giantbomb.com/endurance-run-persona-4-part-155/17-1380/ manages]] to make this scene more awesome/hilarious by singing "Smooth Criminal" during said scene.
** I'd like to add a personal, player created CMOA to this scene: my roommate was listening to TheWho's "[[CrowningMusicOfAwesome Won't Get Fooled Again]]" in his room during this boss fight and, just when it came time to [[spoiler:cast Myriad Truths]], the drumbeats began playing, syncing up with the Protagonist [[spoiler: casting aside his glasses]], and culminated with Roger Daltrey screaming "YYYYYEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHH!" at the ''exact'' moment [[spoiler: the spell was cast]]. Pardon my language, but it was pretty fucking awesome.
*** Dear sweet Jesus H. Christ on a Pogo Stick, I ''must try this''. Why is my PS2 10,000 miles away?!!
* Kanji has his CMOA ''prior'' to the game, in this troper's opinion. Everybody thinks he's caught up with a local teenage biker gang, but as he keeps trying to explain, what really happened is that he ''beat the shit out of the whole gang''. Why? [[spoiler:They were keeping his mother from sleeping at night with all the noise and racket they made.]]
** And to rub salt in the wound, he did it all with [[ImprobableWeaponUser a shield]] he bought from Daidara's Metalworks. No, really. Ask Daidara during Kanji's disappearance.
** Speaking of Kanji...he doesn't get his Persona just by coming to terms with his Shadow. He gets it by '''punching it out''' and ''then'' coming to terms with it.

And, [[GenreSavvy having realised that the Investigation Team were the ones responsible for saving the lives of the last few victims]], she has a conversation with them first hinting at her strategy, because she knew [[NeutralGood that they would feel that they had to rescue her if she was in danger.]] Bonus points for responding to her rescue like it's just another day at the office]].
* In one of Yukiko's later S-link scenes,she is getting harassed by a sleazy TV producer and his crew,who wanted to take advantage of her family inn's worsening financial status by pressuring her into agreeing to make a tabloid-style show about the inn. Her response to the TV crew? She snaps and puts them back in their place, making them stand down and leave promptly, proving that you should BewareTheNiceOnes indeed.
** Made even better when how Yukiko's S. Link is about gaining confidence and preparing to leave Inaba, then she realizes the inn and everyone in it is what matters most to her and she stands up for them.
* Not to leave out what probably is the greatest of them all:[[spoiler:"Children of man... well done!"]]
