* The BossInMookClothing of Level 8 is a true MasterSwordsman in comparison to the other enemies. He's clever enough not to try approaching you first, attacking only when you try to close the gap between you two. [[NoobBridge You need to actually learn how to use the parry button]] if you really want to kill this guard, whatever by stabbing him to death or dropping him onto deadly spikes.

* The final confrontation with [[PuzzleBoss Shadow Man]]. Damaging it damages you as well, so it can't be killed with brute force like the other enemies. So what's the catch? You just SheatheYourSword, and it does the same. You two then run into each other, and Shadow Man becomes a part of you again. Your health becomes full again for [[FinalBoss facing Jaffar]], and you gain one additional health point Shadow Man gained when drinking the Life Enhancement Potion in front of your nose in Level 5. After all those levels of sword-clashing, the player gets a reminder that sometimes the greatest victory is the battle not fought.

** Jaffar creating Shadow Man by using the magic mirror eventually [[HoistByHisOwnPetard bites him in the butt]] in the sequel; the experience has given Prince the ability to separate himself from his body and move through the world as Shadow Man. Only in this form he can obtain the Blue Flame and use it to kill Jaffar.

* You actually need to escape from dungeons and fight multiple guards, a skeleton, a mirror version of yourself, and Jaffar himself to rescue the Princess. All of this in one hour!

* In Level 8, the Prince is trapped by a door he has no way to open. It may look for a few seconds that you need to start all over again… but then the door is opened by [[ChekhovsGunman the white mouse the Princess sent out of her chamber in the cutscene that took place right after completing Level 7]].
** This is a CMOA for the Princess herself for proving that she's not just a DamselInDistress. By sending her pet to help her lover, she enables his mission to rescue her.
