* Unmorphed Daggeron defeating Imperious... if you can buy it, considering how powerful Impy's been shown to be at other times.
* ''The Gatekeeper'' sees the gate to the Underworld rise, demonic powerhouses break free, and Morticon (the early BigBad) rampaging through the city. The Rangers confront him in their Titan forms, and end up totally beaten. They collapse to the ground, powerless, helpless and totally overwhelmed. Madison murmurs softly, "Is this really how it ends?" to which Nick sets his jaw, looks up and says, "'''No.'''"

* In ''Mystic Fate'', once the Master returns, he immediately begins wiping out anybody who could oppose him. At one point, he shows up before the Rangers, drops the dead bodies of their team-mate Daggeron and Nick's father Lianbow at their feet, laughs, and leaves. At this point, Nick gives up. He has no idea what to do, is completely and totally out of ideas. To which Madison, the meek and soft-spoken Blue Ranger, turns to Nick and tells him, "No. You are our leader. You will ''not'' give up." Which leads to...

*** Let's [[FridgeLogic think about that last one]] for a second. In order to get his hands on Fireheart, Koragg would have had to find the map that is lost to time, then find the scroll that the map leads to, go to Mt. Fuego to retrieve the puzzle chest, solve the puzzle, incubate the dragon egg successfully, and then raise the dragon itself. All that adds up to an OffscreenMomentOfAwesome.

Authority Equals Asskicking has been renamed.

** Then Koragg summons more mooks and disappears (to quote: ""fight to another time, prove your worth"") Nick singlehandely curbstomps them far worse than his four friends did despite being less experienced than them. Bonus points for Nick for [[ForcedTransformation transforming a Hidiac into a nigh-indestructible football]] and using him to wreck the others, ''Film/ShaolinSoccer'' style.

* Gotta give Itassis props for the villains. She's a scholar who says she seeks knowledge, not power, and is usually the one saying "don't do this thing that'd make us more likely to win, it's against the rules and the Master won't return." BUT... she is able to deliver an UTTER CurbStompBattle against the Rangers, even Red Dragonfire Mode being absolutely nothing to her. The Rangers, as far as they've come and as many powerful foes they've overcome after it seemed impossible, really were totally outclassed by Itassis and are only alive now because she hates her job.

* The majority of the Ten Terrors were walking moments of awesome. Its a CMOA in itself that the Rangers survived fighting them, let alone defeating most of them.

* The ActionPrologue showing the Rangers' predecessors in action has some decent special effects.
* The Rangers do a good job of being {{Badass Normal}}s in their first fight before learning to use magic. Then, once they ''do'' learn to use their powers, another cool action scene ensues.
* Necrolai inflicting a CurbStompBattle on the heroes in their first battle.

Has nothing to do with in-universe fiction.

* In the same episode, two Styxoids get GenreSavvy: one wishes he could go fight, the other talks about how the ones who do never come back.

*** Itasis is, in the end, only one of ''two'' Ten Terrors that survives and gets a happy ending, the other being Motombo - because, unlike the other Terrors, she isn't all "MUAHAHAHAHA! POWAH!" and just wants to be a nerd and learn about knowledge and courage.

Added DiffLines:

*** The fact that Rita has ''gotten sneaky''. Before, she'd go in, all guns blazing, and be defeated; this time, she had ''a back-up plan'' to allow her to survive - apparently, Zordon's Energy blast ''made Rita Repulsa smart.''
