** On a meta-level, the Ghostly Wail power as a whole. Think about it. All the "classic" spooky things have something about them that is timeless, something that we can see and instantly make the connection. Werewolves howl, vampires turn into bats, Frankenstein's' Monster is a zombie, i.e. SOMETHING that no matter what medium or genre, is something that you can reliable come to expect and say "Hey, that's a (X) or (Y) or (Z)!" So then you think of a ghost, what would a classic ghost do? They say: "[=OOOoooOOOooohhh=]!" when they make their presence known. Here we have a series that has ghosts and other spectral powers as a main part of the setting. What's the most powerful ghost power? It's the one that is timeless, the FIRST ghost power, the one thing that identifies something as a ghost right when you hear it.

* Danny and Jack go fishing one day when Skulker brings out a giant lizard ghost which eats Danny. What does Jack do? He uses a fishing rod to swing himself onto the lizard and knocks the hunter off, then sprays the sea monster in the eyes with hot cheese and causes it to smash into a rock wall. Jack then takes Danny out of its mouth and [[uses the fishing pole to literally hook the hunter ghost's head by its chin, taking its head clean off]].
