* The Doomguy is always unflappable, on the status bar of the original 2 games, even if he's low or dangerously close to death if you pick up a weapon he'll still take the time to form a malicious grin as acquires new weapons, even if he's covered in his own blood!

* Destroyer holding his own against the Hell Knight. In that fight he showed intelligence and true resoursefulness by correctly sussing out that the monster was down in the hole with him and then being able use the computer desk to light up the area. He even got a few good hits in before going down.

No meta example, see this query.

* A meta-example would be beating any of the NintendoHard megawads at all, especially Deus Vult.
* It may be funny to accidentally telefrag an enemy, but it's both funny and completely awesome to telefrag a ''Cyberdemon'' or a '''[[http://youtu.be/hyrhOlpCIlc?t=17m27s Spider Mastermind]]'''.

[[spoiler: Whether the Marine dies as well is today unknown]].

* Doom II has several scenarios where inducing monster infighting can get awesome - you can manipulate a Cyberdemon into getting into a brawl with multiple Barons of hell, for example, or, more notably, set a Spider Mastermind against another Cyberdemon in a duel to the death.
