--->'''Fern:''' Well? Pretty amazing, huh?
--->'''Brain:''' Pretty ridiculous! It doesn't make any sense.

* AuthorFilibuster[=/=]TakeThat: {{Parodied|Trope}}. In S3's "Buster's Growing Grudge", Buster ends up replacing his comedy act for the school talent show with a long tirade against Binky (whom he blames for the poor grade he got on a report). He doesn't even try to make it funny. When George wins the talent show, Buster proceeds to pin this on Binky as well.

** "To Eat or not to Eat" tries to tell kids to avoid ScaryScienceWords and various food additives that are unsafe. A very good message to send, if it actually named things that ''existed'', or even portrayed the effects ''realistically''. (In fact? They make people spit glitter.) The additives that are named don't even exist except for cochineal extract, which is in fact a natural substance, and it's seen as bad because it's obtained from bugs.

This becomes even ''more'' clueless since the Read family are ''Aardvarks'' - known ''insectivores''.

** In "Fern's Flights of Fancy", Muffy is still a fan of Creator/MattDamon, like she was in "The Making of Arthur".
** In "Kiss and Tell", D.W. mentions ''Thunderdance'', a play which she saw a commercial for earlier that season in "D.W., Dancing Queen".
** "Listen Up!" has Arthur mention when Bubbe helped him understand Grandpa Dave's memory loss, which happened in "Grandpa Dave's Memory Album".
** "Rhyme for Your Life":
*** Binky twice mentions having a dream where he was digested by a giant clam. "Double Dare" had that as a dream by Arthur, but considering Buster also had the same dream separately, it's possibly Binky did as well.
*** The version of D.W. in the story says that she has a pet toad, referencing D.W.'s pet toad from "So Long, Spanky".
** At the beginning of "Crushed", Arthur doesn't want a babysitter, saying that he's eight and he's already ''been'' one; referencing the events of "Arthur Babysits", where he babysits for the Tibble Twins.

* AccidentalGoodOutcome: In the LicensedGame ''Francine's Tough Day'', Francine [[WorfHadTheFlu is playing soccer badly due to her shoelaces repeatedly untying]], and she only scores one goal, and that's due to standing up at the right time to accidentally head the ball. When her friends ask her how the game went, you can make her tell the truth, tell a "little lie" (i.e. [[LyingByOmission state that she "scored a goal"]]), or tell a "big lie" (i.e. pretend the game went perfectly).

* AbandonedCatchphrase: "Vomitrocious" was a CatchPhrase for Muffy, but wore out after the earlier seasons. Double subverted in that there's a season 8 episode titled "Vomitrocious", where you'd expect Muffy to say it, but the word isn't said at all in the episode.

* AndYouWereThere: Done in "D.W.'s Name Game", which has an OffToSeeTheWizard sort of plot. In the story, after Arthur and D.W. trade insults, events culminate with Arthur shocking her by calling her "Dora Winifred" (her full first name) and her being sent to bed. She has a dream in which she consults "The Great Thesaurus" and Arthur is cast as a wicked wizard. When she finally wakes up, she tells her family "And you were there, and you, and you were there too." At which point, the Thesaurus (a dinosaur) appears outside her window, saying his CatchPhrase, "Ah, sheesh." Notably, though, neither Mr. Read nor Mrs. Read were actually in D.W.'s fantasy in any form.

** In "[[Recap/ArthurS13E9ParadiseLostThePrideOfLakewood Paradise Lost]]", Kate starts wondering why she occasionally has trouble speaking in AnimalTalk. Amigo says that's normal for a one-year-old, and that [[ChildrenAreSpecial all babies lose the ability to speak to animals]].
** In "Binky Goes Nuts", Binky gets a rash on his arm and wonders where it came from. He wonders if [[AbnormalAllergy he's allergic to butterflies]], but it turns out to be an allergic reaction to nuts.
** In "Arthur's Chicken Pox", Arthur looks in the bathroom mirror, only to find that he's covered in red dots; cue the ScreamDiscretionShot. He nervously asks his parents why he looks like this and David tells him it's just chicken pox.

* ArtisticLicenseMusic:
** In "Arthur vs. the Piano", Arthur plays Beethoven's ''Für Elise'' at a recital. He has a nightmare where he is scrutinized for playing "D flat instead of D sharp". During the recital, Arthur does make said mistake at the end of the song, to his disappointment. In reality, the last note of ''Für Elise'' is an A, not a D sharp. When Arthur makes the mistake, his hand hits a D key, but the misplayed notes heard are a G and G sharp/A flat, which would be closer to a realistic misplay of the last note.
** In "Arthur Plays the Blues", Dr. Fugue comments that the Read car's horn honks in C sharp, but it sounds more like a combination of G and B.
** In "Tipping the Scales", a montage shows Dr. Fugue prompting Buster and Fern to sign specific notes, neither of which are accurate with which notes were asked. Also, as a result of their frequent practice, the kids and Dr. Fugue begin singing to each other in conversation and noting the keys as they do so ("Buster, can you pass the salt, in A-minor?"). None of the keys mentioned are correct with what was sung.
