** The opening scene with the Bell is a pretty dramatic shift from the realistic, CG heavy animation to the cute colorful style used for the rest of the series.

* MadeOfMagic: [[spoiler: Jurika and Jeff are made from Sae's raw magic, albeit subconsciously. Jeff's identity is less clear cut in the OVA until the very end of the TV series.]]

* ArtShift: The OVA was made with cel animation with more detailed character designs. In the TV series migratred to digital animation and sports simpler character designs.

* SurprisinglyGoodForeignLanguage: In the OVA opening scene, the military uses perfect English.

* PottyEmergency: Sae has one in episode 3 while being LockedInARoom with Aburatsubo.

* The would make Miki the SixthRanger, having the highest magical aptitude out of all the club members. Which allows her to discover Jurika's true identity.
