Pretty sure Gai wasn't meant to actually be saying that... though to be honest you know it was what he was thinking.

* FamousLastWords: Subverted. Joe's first death had him saying "I'm sorry, Nanako-san... I couldn't take you to the ocean..." This, in the Nadesico-verse, became very iconic that [[spoiler:Gai Daigoji specifically said that when he was KilledOffForReal]]. But then subverted that in the sequel, Joe turns out NotQuiteDead.

HotBlooded: '''CHOU-NEKKETSU-GIRI!'''This is a theme that comes up a lot, to the point that it even shows up in the rarely-seen full title of the series, "Nekketsu Robo (Hot-blooded Robot) Gekiganger 3". It's most evident in the movie when Professor Kokubunji points out that even though the Super-Paleolithic people designed Gekiganger, they didn't account for "the power of passion".

to:

* {{Unobtainium}}: Gekiganger is made of Gekiganium alloy. Presumably it's supposed to be very strong, since they only bring this up when some part of the robot is damaged (like its fist or wing).
