Things seem to go well at first, as he wins over various members. [[spoiler:However, by the end of the episode, none of them stand in support of A-TEC, leaving Nagisa to be the only one doing it. Kazuhisa had done some things on his own, and managed to get the Seimin political party to form a coalition with the Oozora party, thus forming a majority in the government. This also meant Nagisa lost his trump card from the previous episode as well, and was essentially on his own.]]

* NinjaMaid: Angelina is implied to be one. She has repeatedly reached for something in her pocket, as if to pull out a weapon to attack with. Said item turns out to be scissors, as seen briefly in episode 5. And she manages to accidentally throw a hot dog stick hard enough into Nagisa's laptop to embed the stick into the screen.

** Angelina starts warming up to Iris after spending a lot of time with her at a seminar, and protecting her against some terrorists who hijack their charter flight. When it appears they were going to collide into a space station after they lose control, she shields Iris with her own body. Fortunately they miss.

* GenderBlenderName: Nagisa is normally a female name, implied to be given to him due to his brothers hating him. [[spoiler:In truth, it's because he isn't Negisa in the first place.]]

* KickTheDog: Yuji is given one of these moments in episode 8 when he punches Nagisa for continually questioning all of his orders despite technically fulfilling them. As if Yuji constantly yelling at his brother before, and the scars on Nagisa's back weren't evidence enough for viewers at what a JerkAss he is.

* UnprovokedPervertPayback: In episode 5, Iris accidentally enter the men's bath. Nagisa is understandably freaked out, and accidentally knocks the wall separating the men and women's hot spring. Mizuki then gets embarrassed by it. Iris then gets mad at Nagisa despite the fact that she was the one responsible.

** In episode 6, Nagisa reveals more of his past to Mizuki, while Kaito learns it from Mr. Sasayama, his old boss and principal for their school. [[spoiler: Nagisa reveals that he was born to a different mother than Yuji, his older half-brother. And the only reason why they took him after his mother passes away was because she owned 30 percent of the stock in the Kirishina Corporation. Yuji detests him for these reasons, hence why he always acts so hostile towards Nagisa in their meetings during the previous episodes. Mizuki cries quite a bit upon hearing how difficult his childhood and upbringing was, and how he was essentially being used as a pawn by Yuji to advance his own selfish goals within the company]].

* WhyDontYouJustShootHim: Discussed in episode 7. The terrorists have handguns, but are stopped by Angelina and Iris mostly with punches and kicks before getting any shots off. They later discuss that shooting inside the plane may cause decompression, which happens when one of the terrorists accidentally shoots out one of the windows in the cockpit while trying to hit the women.

* BaitAndSwitchLesbians: Iris and Mizuki are shown [[LesYay to behave much like a couple]] during the ending credits, complete with meaningful looks and going on obvious dates, but in the show proper their relationship doesn't rise above mere friendship.

Aside from the fact that they don't seem to get along, Angelina informs Nagisa that A-TEC's budget being slashed by seventy percent was completely unknown by several top executives in the company, hinting that the money was being embezzled somewhere. And in every episode he's in, his brother only seems to get madder and madder at everything being done by Nagisa and/or Kaito with A-TEC, despite Nagisa getting other results done such as working out a business deal with another company. [[spoiler:In episode 8, Angelina notices a constant discrepancy with the budget constantly being diverted to something else. Nagisa then starts working to undermine and expose his brother's wrongdoings.]]

** Episode 10 [[spoiler: Not only reveals that all of Negisa's political manuplation was quickly undone, losing is only trump card against his CEO brother, but he isn't Negisa, Iris is.]]

** Episode 8 reveals a little more about Kiryu's political ambitions, and Nagisa slowly starts to put the pieces together that his half-brothers are up to no good. [[spoiler:Kiryu also angrily punches Nagisa in the face after he's questioned on why he has to accomplish his latest assignment. Kiryu also tells him point blank that if any of this scandal gets uncovered, Nagisa is going to become TheScapegoat.]]

* IDidWhatIHadToDo: Basically what Angelina says in episode 3 after moving A-TEC's facilities to the original rundown building the founders started out in. She says that it was necessary in order to cut down on their operating costs, as they would have ran out of funding in three months had they of continued spending at the pace they were used to.

* WorldOfCardboardSpeech: Kaito gives one in an interview during episode 2. He apparently forgot about it, since as he watched it, the stuff he said back then roused him enough to try and salvage what he could for A-TEC.

* VillainousBreakdown: [[spoiler: Yuji suffers a ''huge'' one when he realizes Nagisa has been playing him, and breaks into a howl of [[LaughingMad mad laughter]] when Kazuhisa [[ReassignedToAntarctica transfers Yuji to a new position]].]]

* KickTheDog: Kiryu is given one of these moments in episode 8 when he punches Nagisa for continually questioning all of his orders despite technically fulfilling them. ** Kaito manages to secure some office circulars to get the money to acquire the equipment they needed to run A-TEC operations with in episode 4, after having been forcefully promoted into management by Nagisa. Basically he couldn't ask for 600 million yen upfront (not that he didn't try in previous episodes though), so instead he asked for 20 million yen, the max amount he could request without approval from his boss, thirty times at different points during the two weeks he had been promoted. When Angelina suspects fraud, one of the students points out that while there's a limit to how much they can get per request, there's no company rules or guidelines stating how many times they can ask for funds. They even check the company policy books several times to make sure. Nagisa tells him later that since his 30 requests weren't all sent at once, and each were for legitimate business use, he wouldn't of been able to veto it even if he was aware of the plan ahead of time.

* DistressedDude: Nagisa, who's being held hostage by some irate workers who haven't been paid for a while.]
