* CuteClumsyGirl: Akari, when she is first introduced, is notably a lot clumsier when performing her dance sequences. She grows out of it as the series progresses.

* Expy: Johnny Bepp, the homeroom teacher of Ichigo and Aoi, obviously looks like Johnny Depp. Episode 42 even has has Johnny dressed as a pirate.
** Hikari looks more or less like either Cure Dream or her EvilTwin Dark Dream.
** seems to be an expy of MARs. Both groups are trios, the members have a pink, blue, and purple color scheme, the purple themed members have been idols[=/=] Prism Stars long before the other two, and the pink and blue themed members are considerably closer to one another.

* DubNameChange: The Korean version changes quite a few names for their characters. While most more or less fit (BoraPurple or violet in Korean for Ran, Marine for Aoi, Luna for Mizuki), but for some bizarre reason Ichigo is named Lime in this version of the show.
