Those are wisents not "buffaloes". Given that I am guy from neighbouring country (Poland), I know that in this part of Europe we have only one species of wild bovine, and that is wisent. Those who wrote that probably assumed our wisents look similar to american bisons, while in reality two species look slightly different from each other (wisents have different head shape and lack the humped back of american bisons).
