** VideoGame/FarCry6: Antón Castillo's regime uses a lion motif which is frequently referenced in its propaganda and featured on the flag of Yara. Antón often reiterates to his son Diego that the Castillos are lions who prey on the lambs who oppose them.

* The various mercenary groups we hear about in VideoGame/StrikeCommander all have animal-related names. The story's protagonists and their rivals, the Wildcats and the Jackals, display an appropriate CatDogDichotomy in their philosophies (of the PantheraAwesome and SavageWolf variety). The game also includes the vicious and piratical Hammerheads, as well as a group called the Barracudas which we learn very little about.

** In the original VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII otherwise she has a dolphin theme in her dolphin-shaped hair and one of her LimitBreak is a Dolphin kick. It also comes up that probably her most important scene is helping Cloud find himself when he is lost in the watery-looking livestream.

It also comes up that probably her most important scene is helping Cloud find himself when he is lost in the watery-looking livestream. VideoGame/FinalFantasyVIIRebirth notes this in Costa del Sol, where she asks Red what he thinks of her beach outfit. If the revealing outfit is chosen he compares her to a dolphin. The conservative option parodies it a bit, when the clothing's lined design has him compare her to a breaching whale. Note that Whales are often considered powerful, intelligent, kind, musical and spiritual animals, all of which are more emphasized in her story than ever. . Interestingly, the credits emphasize her conservative outfit.

* VideoGame/SlimeRancher2: All the new slimes are based on animals. Cotton slimes are rabbits; angler slimes are anglerfish; batty slimes are bats; ringtail slimes are raccoons and tanukis; and flutter slimes are butterflies. The yolky slime isn't based on a whole animal, but rather a fried chicken's egg.

* VideoGame/DeathStranding: Sam has a sea otter motif. He can get an otter hood that greatly improves his swimming ability, Otters are often used as symbols of parental devotion, and Sam bonds incredibly quickly with the [=BB=] unit he's travelling with, despite everyone around him telling him to just treat it as a tool. Sea otters also fit in with the "marine animal" theme the Beach has, referencing his status as a repatriate.
