** Why did Ali reenter the Games? He clearly was opposed to them and voted to end them, yet still returned. Was the money he stole from his employer not enough to buy him also a ticket back to Pakistan? Because the scene with his boss did imply it was quite a bit of money. So why didn't he leave South Korea behind as well? Was the economic situation his family would face in Pakistan simply too horrible? Did he fear the Korean police would arrest him at the airport if he tried to flee the country? Or was he worried that Pakistan might extradite him even if he managed to get there? At the same time Ali seems quite reassured that his wife and son will be in the care of his family and doesn't play the game like someone who believes he has lost everything anyway. So did some actual greed play a part in his descision to return as well (as TBF it no doubt did for most competitors)? One thing that truly seems certain is that Ali didn't bear any ill will towards the other competitors and clearly believed there could be more than one winner in the end. So even if he was after the money on some level he was clearly willing to share.
