* ''WesternAnimation/{{Tangled}}'': In the campfire scene, Rapunzel tells Flynn "Don't freak out!" and then "It's complicated!" in short order. Both of those [[CatchPhrase lines are from]] ''Series/{{Chuck}}'', starring Creator/ZacharyLevi, the voice actor for Flynn.

* In ''WesternAnimation/{{Cars}}'', Mater says of tractor tipping "I don't care who you are, that's funny right there," a catchphrase of his actor Larry the Cable Guy. Also, when Lightning [=McQueen=] jets out of the pit in the final race, Mater shouts Larry's other catchphrase, "Git 'Er Done!"

** The special ''WesternAnimation/ToyStoryOfTerror'' features a Combat Carl voiced by Creator/CarlWeathers, complete with being an InkSuitActor -- outside of a lack of a hat, appearance-wise the Carl figure can be summed up as "Dillon from the original ''Film/{{Predator}}'' if he managed to escape from the Jungle Hunter alive the lost of his arm?"

** Creator/JeremyIrons is the voice of Scar, a fratricidal lion with a scar on his face. As he kills his brother (come on, [[ItWasHisSled everyone knows it happens]]), he says "Long live the king." In ''Film/KingdomOfHeaven'', Irons plays the scarred Marshal of Jerusalem, who chants "Long live the king" in the exact same voice at [[{{Jerkass}} Guy de Lusignan's]] coronation.

** This also isn't the first time Creator/JamesEarlJones and Madge Sinclair played the [[Film/ComingToAmerica king and queen of a fictional African country who are also the protagonist's parents]].

* In ''WesternAnimation/FlushedAway'', near the beginning, Roddy (played by Creator/HughJackman) is trying on different clothes. At one point, he tries a Franchise/{{Wolverine}} costume, referencing Jackman's role as Wolverine in the ''Film/XMenFilmSeries''.

** Elastigirl's jet crashing into the ocean is a reference to ''Film/{{Always}}'', where another Creator/HollyHunter characters (Dorinda) does the same thing.

* In the trailer for ''WesternAnimation/TheLEGOMovie2TheSecondPart'', Emmet - played by Creator/ChrisPratt - takes his pet plant to space with him to search for the kidnapped builders. It wouldn't be the first time he has a plant as a copilot; Pratt did that in ''Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxy''.

* ''WesternAnimation/{{Onward}}'': Barley, who is voiced by Creator/ChrisPratt, is pretty much an elven version of Pratt's ''Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse'' character [[Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxy Peter Quill/Star-Lord]]. He's a HeroicWannabe with a fixation on his mixtape and mode of transportation, he's motivated by a parent who died from a terminal illness when he was young, and he never properly got to say goodbye to said parent because he was too scared to see their illness-ravaged bodies and them hooked up to all of the medical machinery right before they succumbed. Bonus points for the theme of ''Onward'' also being about [[Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol2 fathers, and the lead character realizing who their true father figure actually is]]. [[spoiler: Said true father figure happens to have blue skin in both cases, as well]].

* ''WesternAnimation/Sing'': A minor one but at the beginning of the movie, [[Creator/SethMacfarlane Mike]] [[Recap/FamilyGuyS4E20PatriotGames demands a baboon give him more money, criticizes him for not giving him enough cash and practically robs him of all his cash]].
