Kilyle: Tanto, I'm glad you came by to update. Looks good! I have just one question: Why yank the Lufia 2 bit under Epic Fails? I could see a comment on Natter, but I'm pretty sure it belongs there if only for a look at how (most) fans dislike Soup Cans as a major factor in the game. (I happen to adore puzzle games, so a puzzle-game-based RPG was right up my alley.) That's not saying that Lufia 2 is necessarily a bad game, just that that specific element is something to study and probably something to avoid. Would it help to change the section name from Epic Fails to something else?

Tanto: Well, yeah, probably. You listed it under Epic Fails (which to me means "This game is a trainwreck; look at it only to see what not to do"), then immediately started to defend it. I figured, if it's not actually bad, it doesn't need to be on there.

Kilyle: Fair enough. Until (unless?) we change the name, I think the Lufia 2 section could go under "Pitfalls" then. It being about time for me to get to bed, I'll leave that to you, unless you don't get to it by the next time I'm on. Should be something like "only add a bunch of unrelated puzzles if the game concept is built around puzzles and you're trying to market to the puzzle-loving demographic, because most gamers won't appreciate it".

Kilyle: Y'know, using a question mark in the middle of a sentence - and thus not capitalizing the following word - is a perfectly acceptable stylistic choice unless you happen to be writing, say, a doctoral thesis. And maybe even then. Like this:

  • Would his mother know him? would she remember? would she love him anyway? He just didn't know, and the suspense twisted him up inside.

It pushes the reader through the sentences faster, with less of a pause after each question mark.
