There was also a fairly cool cartoon series, as I recall, entitled "Thunderbirds 2086", which was supposed to be related to this in some way.

Bluetooth The Pirate: It was an anime series, and it was related to Thunderbirds by a total coincidence. The show was called Science Rescue Team Technovoyager. Their vehicles had the initials TB on the outside, for "Technovoyager". It's an Engrish thing, since v and b get confused in Japanese.

The show may have been an homage to Thunderbirds, since the original was popular in Japan about the time it was created (and still is, to some degree). When the show was localized into English, the connection was made explicit, and the show was retitled and rescripted. They really were only similar in that they were about a group of people using advanced technology to rescue people. The Technovoyager team weren't a family, they were an Multinational Team, and they focused on space rather than terrestrial rescues. It wasn't a bad show, it just wasn't really Thunderbirds.

Tikatu FAB-1, Lady Penelope's "flying" car, only flew during the unmentionable live action movie. It did turn into a hydrofoil a couple of times during the series, but it never flew.

  • Except in a dream sequence, and a heftily weird one at that..

Triassicranger: Cut from page. If it's not an example, then don't leave it on the page:

  • Fake Nationality - The Hood in the 2004 adaptation. When the Hood, played by the very english Ben Kingsley anounces that his brother is the indian Kyrano, and this is laid alongside his love of extremely vague "eastern martial arts" as well as his bright red chinese dragon robe, the situation becomes depressingly similar to Nicholas Cage as Fu Manchu.
    • Kingsley's real name is Krishna Pandit Bhanji. He's half Indian, grew up speaking Hindi, and played Ghandi for crying out loud.
