The Brunnen-G aren't actually a proud warrior race, even though the fandom calls them that for some reason. From what little is known about them from the show itself, they're pretty much the opposite. They happened to win the war against insects, but afterwards turned inwards and hid beneath their planetary defenses for millennia. By the time His Shadow came to destroy them, few would even care to fight for their own lives.
The notion of Brunnen-G being warriors most likely comes from the fact that Kai is the only Brunnen-G actually seen in the whole show, but he is not a typical example of his race (especially turned into [un]dead Divine Assassin).
Grimace: I got the impression that they were a PWR, once, but immortality kinda sucked it out of them.
