Narwhal: I'm not really certain if Gilgamesh belongs here, since I'm pretty sure he's SUPPOSED to be ridiculous and entertaining; I mean, what other boss shouts "IT'S MORPHIN' TIME!" before transforming into a six-armed giant and utterly failing to kill you with a cheap knockoff of the legendary sword Excalibur?

Steel Beast 6 Beets: One would believe that a series like Silent Hill would have plenty of narm moments but I couldn't think of anything.

Andrew: Can someone who has played Breakdown please clean up that example? Nuke the natter, re-arrange the entry so it's not 10 lines of spoiler text and get it right.

Anonymous Mc Cartneyfan: I haven't played the game, but I did kill about three lines of spoilers. (Educated guessing.) I hope that helps.

Fly: I think we're going to have to split this off into Narm Video Game Examples and Narm Metal Gear Solid Examples at this rate.
Did the Lalilulelo comic really come before MGS 4? If so, would that make it a Reverse Funny Aneurysm? —Document N

Anonymous Mc Cartneyfan: Yes, it did - that particular comic finished its entire run before MGS 4 came out. So, yes, it might be.

Fly: OKAY! Massive cleanup of the Metal Gear examples. I've nuked (no pun intended) lots of Natter and Justifying Edits, some parts that were doubtlessly supposed to be funny, and sorted all the examples by game. Our beloved monsters, enjoy yourselves.
Charred Knight: I rewrote the one on Super Nova, since the English version is an upgrade of the original game with new bosses, and side quests that I am pretty sure where created by the original team, Super Nova was given new animation that was better but completely over the top compared to the original version.
Excel-2009.
If you don't feel like or can't watch the video (and I can't, so I don't know if this line is there) then here's an example: Silent Scope 2 pairs you up with a 'buddy' sniper. A little way into that game, the two of you have to make an assault on a facility. Your buddy turns to you and, in the most hilariously serious voice, says "Time to play 'Metal Gear' for real!"
From now on, this will be the mentality I take when I play as the Spy in Team Fortress 2.
Haven: I'm very glad I wasn't the only one who laughed at "BTW killed your parents"
Cambdoranononononono: Removing these two parts of the Metal Gear Solid 4 bit. Not sure I've paid enough attention to whether Otacon uses Purple Prose, but that quote is hardly an example. I'm not even sure what's obviously funny about the quote. (People don't say "be on your toes" maybe? Or it's an understatement?) Also, I don't get the impression that Drebin is supposed to be taken that seriously.
  1. Otacon cries or sinks into Purple Prose ("It's a warzone out there. Be on your toes")
  2. Drebin appears on screen - his existence is Narm.
    • The man was modeled after a stage magician, afterall.

Mik Man: Could someone explain this one for those who haven't been on the internet for far too long?
