Working Title: Wishplosion: From YKTTW
Red Shoe: I want to say that the Reset Button version of this trope is a recent (or at least, Western) variation, and that the form of the trope where you manage to get rid of the djinn without having to give up all the stuff you've gained is the older form of the trope — that the Reset Button Wishplosion results from the fact that Failure Is the Only Option. Can anyone back me up on this?
