Wizard Joni: unpleased by taking the discussion of that scene from Ace Ventura and moving it to the body of the article. subjective I know, but that scene struck me as just about the worst treatment of trans people I have ever seen in a comedy. especially the reference to the villain as "it". I feel like a fool for discussing Ace Ventura: Pet Detective in a serious context, but there you go.

Adam850: What series is Bridget from? And, does this trope happen in that series? (If so, there ought to be an explanation of the name for those who've stayed in the cleaner parts of the internet (if those people exist)).

BT The P: Didn't write this, but Bridget is the Wholesome Crossdresser teenage boy in a nun habit from the Guilty Gear game series, and the name was likely chosen for its similarity to Dropped a Bridge on Him. When I saw the title, I thought it would be about characters removed from a series by having them fall in love with a Girl of the Week and leave.

Eric DVH: That's exactly what I thought when I saw the link to this entry.

Morgan Wick: If it's not an example, it might not have been the actual origin. I was thinking Bridget Jones myself. Osh?

osh: BT The P's got the right idea. It was in the Title Bin and just assumed it had to refer to him. :)

Morgan Wick: Well, that explains everything. :D Chances are it didn't originally refer to anything in particular and was only used for the pun.

Kimiko Muffin: I just put it in the Title Bin, and yes, it was a reference to Bridget from GGXX, not Bridget Jones. I didn't write the article itself, though, and I don't really think it applies to Bridget himself. There is a one-shot Stupid Sexy Flanders moment at Johnny's expense, but, well, it's a one-shot.

Travis Wells: Could someone who's actually watched Girls Bravo check my entry? I've seen a GIF from the episode but not the episode itself, so it could use more detail (if it's not entirely inaccurate, that is)

Mark Z: So this trope has nothing at all to do with Dropped a Bridge on Him, but has almost exactly the same name, for the sake of an obscure pun. The name isn't exactly appropriate to the trope, either; the name suggests a specific incident in which a Bridget gets dropped, so to speak, but the trope is about the ongoing state of a character. I know it's unreasonable to try to change it now, but can we not do this in the future? Related names should indicate related tropes.

Anonymous: Oh god, that's a bad pun... still had me rolling, though.

bluepenguin: Removed "Meta-example: up until a few weeks before Mobile Suit Gundam 00 premiered, many gundam fans were certain that Tieria was a woman." That would be Viewer Gender Confusion, not this.

Fly: So, is editing in a Pot Hole leading to Epileptic Trees this wiki's equivalent of [citation needed]?

Wizard Joni: Added categories. There are a few loose ends that the rest of the hive can take care off.
