From Bogart-Bacall Syndrome Discussion, pre-rename:

Working Title: Bogart-Bacall Syndrome: From YKTTW

Unless someone can convince me otherwise, I'm excising the Looney Tunes reference. I don't think it quite fits the spirit of the trope. Later: And so excised.

Blink Dawg: There's some overlap between this trope and Author Appeal as far as casting choices go (I'm thinking of Kevin Smith and Quentin Tarantino casting the same actors over and over).

Deleted the line about Veronica Lake being taller than Alan Ladd because she wasn't, Veronica Lake was only 5'-5'1''. That was one of the reasons why they were partnered so often.

J Chance: Would Walther Matthau and Jack Lemmon count, or do they qualify as a proper comedy team?

Neenee: This trope has been proposed for rename: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=p9elxacw0zf573vh6mkvv87q&page=1 (23 Mar 09).
Duckay: Cutting:

  • Subversion, because while both of these actors are amazing, and most of their movies are amazing, both of the movies they made together sucked.
    • Uh, since when do Godfather Part II and Heat suck? I mean, technically they never shared a scene in the former, but they were both in it and it's one of the greatest films of all time.

Because the first part is completely subjective and all of it is Natter.

Would Masi Oka and Jayma Mays count? They played across from each other in both Heroes and Get Smart: Bruce and Loyd Out of Control, so they're Those Two Actors in my mind, but is two films enough to count for the page?
