- This troper has a female friend who plays Team Fortress 2. Once after she used voice chat, another player tried to state this, which led to everybody else trolling him. His feeble attempts at countertrolling caused hilarity to ensue. Eventually everyone turned against him, including one guy who claimed to usually be the troll on servers, "so you know it's bad when I'm the voice of reason." All the while my friends and I were laughing our asses off at how badly he was getting screwed.
Removed a statement on the main page claiming that "Most fanfic writers are girls" is a recent phenomenon and they all used to be male, because after all, there were no girls on the internet. Recent? Studies in fanfiction show massive female domination since the 1970s!
Daibhid C: The gag in the line from "Blink" isn't that "guys" = "internet" because there's no girls on the net; it's that "guys" = "internet" because Sally doesn't think Larry has a "real" social life.
