[[Nobodymuch]]: Pre and post revolutionary France was used as the model for the bad guys in the Honor Harrington series of novels, although as time went by and their equivalent of Napoleon didn't take over, Haven diverged increasingly from its inspiration.
Xi Whoeverski: Removed some of the stuff about Marie because it seems excessive for the main body of an article about the French Revolution.
(As for the "evil" Marie, force her to listen to her little son being sexually abused on a daily basis by guards in the weeks before her own execution. That'll teach her for being born Austrian.)
