Lawyerdude: I'd suggest that Smee is anything other than an incompetent minion. Sure, he's jovial and bumbling, but in both the Disney film and in Hook he's actually very clever, in his own way. He doesn't waste his time on stupid vendettas, he avoids physical danger, instead staying in Hook's good graces as a loyal toady. But when the chips are down and the good guys are about to win, Smee grabs the treasure and runs off. Smarter than the rest of the crew, if you ask me. He'd fit in better among the Affably Evil or Anti-Villain.
